I had a wonderful trip here while visiting Australia and looking for some hard to find native woods to take back to the US. The employee who helped us was super friendly and helpful, spending way more time with us than they needed to to help find interesting boards and explain uses and properties of the various species. He skimmed a few of the rough boards for us to see the grain and color and even wheeled out a scale to help us make sure we had enough space in our luggage allowance to get it home! We picked a few smaller boards out of the scrap bin for free and cut suitcase sized lengths off several other woods for a very reasonable price. I’m really excited to have some (for me) exotic woods to work with when I get home. Thank you!

Wonderful place to go shopping for rough sawn timber. Massive range of different species with timber boards of different widths, thicknesses and lengths. Extremely helpful people that work there. Have the facilities to dress timber to the sizes you need. They provided valuable advice to my son for his Year 12 HSC Timber Major Work, ensuring the most suitable timber was used. Definitely recommend this business for your Timber needs.

A huge selection of woods and two friendly staff members that answered all our questions. Parking is a bit of a bugger but there are places near by that are easily accessible. Price seems reasonable but I ain't no expert on woods.

Anagote offers a wide range of timber species, and the timber quality is really high. They also help me cut to sizes with no charge.

As a self-doubting beginner woodworker, going to a real hardwood dealer felt kind of intimidating but the staff were welcoming, offered fantastic advice and weren’t patronising at all. The timber I got was beautiful and I left grinning ear to ear. This coffee table on the way made from Vic ash.

Seemed to be interested in wood, good start.

Ordered a 600mm piece of Coachwood to be sent interstate via post. I asked for an extra 100mm to be added to the length to account for any end splitting or checking. The entire piece was covered in massive splits and is basically useless, good for firewood and that’s about it. I followed up with a email however I’ve heard nothing from them. Poor service, poor quality, would not recommend.
