It's great place to taste different food varieties. Good crowd with great people during weekends.

This is an awesome Friday night out with an excellent vibe. I feel like back to our old good days before COVID. Nice street food and a lot of choices from various countries' styles. Must try if you are spending Friday night in Sydney.

A good night market for street food or fried snacks. The market lacks the range of stall it use to have. The stalls are closely packed together making it difficult to move through the crowd to buy food or see what’s available. The street feels dirty and the smoke from the stalls fill the air making it quite uncomfortable to stay. There is no seating area so unless you’re happy to eat standing behind stalls, or eat while walking and dodging the crowd, you’d be more comfortable eating elsewhere.

Absolutely recommend visiting the Friday Night Market at Chinatown at around 5:30 in the afternoon if you have children and elders with you. The market isn’t too busy around the time we went, so both my kids and parents had a good time! There aren’t many seats, but luckily we found somewhere to sit behind the trees. Personally though, I wouldn’t have mind not sitting if I didn’t have my kids with me. The vibe was great, and the smell of char-grilled meat was an added bonus to the experience. Although it’s called the Chinatown Friday Night Market, they also have a stall selling Paella. Loved their Seafood & Valenciana! There’s multiple stalls selling Asian favourites, like fish balls and dumplings, and more. My son’s favourite was the one selling Fresh Lemonade, and my daughter’s favourite was where she could get candied strawberries. All-in-all we spent over $200; the food isn’t cheap. It’s a bit pricey, but you get variety. It’s also convenient that they accept card payments. Definitely going back, maybe with friends next time!

Good for a nice stroll and to get food and buy random items. Quite crowded but a good experience to try. Plenty of food options, Asian cuisine well represented.

Vibrant and happening, and always busy. Great street fashion on display. Quirky K pop like shops and stalls. Plenty of eating choices. I even found a Thai roti pancake stall in there. I love the fact that its closed off to traffic, and anyway this is a very pedestrianised area at the best of times. Very few tourists on the many visits I have been. Great in a heatwave as its a night market of course.

The market were packed during my visit with quite a number of stalls having long queue but Food were extremely expensive. Dim sum were going for 2.50-3$ per piece. Takoyaki were $12-$15 for 8 balls. Worth a visit for the vibe but not the food

Get a free authentic asian market experience here. From Bangkok to Taiwan, this is exactly how crowded night markets can get in Asia. You will realize you are back in Sydney once you step out of the busy market zone. Avoid only if you hate queues and crowd!

A lot of people and a lot of food. Every stall was busy and had a line but the food was worth the wait.

Great event every Friday to enjoy some food and souvenirs. Update: it is now expanded so more shops, more great food and more things to do. Always busy but fun.

Had no idea there was a market so it was a pleasant surprise to see. Had a variety of food and bootleg trinkets you would expect from a street market. While some stalls had some nice looking food, there's some that are either super expensive or look really questionable in terms of food safety. The crowd made it quite hard to get around in the narrow pathways but not impossible. Was a nice experience, and if we didn't already have dinner plans were would have tried some of the food.

It's always fun to go. Went on a Friday lots of food and stall to look at. They've gotten a few more stall since my last visit around New years last year. It can get rather crowded, but I recommend checking them out anyway. I got this panda jelly dessert which was really nice

Great night market, worth the visit on a Friday night. Tried the stall with the takoyaki balls, made by an authentic Japanese person and it was fantastic, but you will need to wait. Wait time was approx 20minutes. Head there if you can for a great experience.

Fun street market to visit on Friday afternoon/evenings. There’s a great selection of food stalls serving everything from dumplings to paella, and numerous vendors selling things like jewelry and handicrafts. The restaurants in Chinatown are also open, so you have a wide variety of options. The atmosphere itself is fun and friendly and it just felt like a great place to visit for an hour or so. Docking one star because some of us ended up getting food poisoning after eating at some of the stalls, and also because they could have had more booths catering to different dietary preferences (vegetarian, halal, etc).

Busy chinatown night market which is comparable to other smaller night markets in Asia. There are your typical food stalls and small goods. Bound to find a decent feed and a bit of shopping on a Friday night. Would recommend for Sydney visitors in the Chinatown area.

There were lots of stalls and quite crowded in this Friday night market. Most patrons bought finger food.

Love it! A lot of food there. I like the skewer & the sugar cane juice ♡

The food bazaar is really interesting with a mix of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand food. Try the BBQ Skewers, Lamb (6 for AUD15) & Beef (6 for AUD15) - the spice is well-balanced. Beef is tender but lamb is a bit gamey. We also had the grilled squid skewers on the last stall at the end (2 for AUD9.50). Don’t bother with that cause the squid is highly chewy and lacks oceanic freshness.

A great market with tons of food stalls. Reminds me of China and Taiwan.

restaurants are getting dirtier than they were 12 months ago, and prices are now far far too dear.. $20 to $30 for a simple Chinese dish , vs suburban Chinese restaurant which are much cleaner and nicer charging 15 to 20... For the prices being charged, go elsewhere

Lots of delicious food. Skewers were good.

I tried so many but forgot to take a photo. Good place to experience ….However, I dont think I will come back the second time. Especially, The takoyKi shop ( I forgot the name) If you are not patient then dont buy food from them 🤣. They told me the food will be ready in 15 mins. Well, I know that’s a lie but I mean Its understandable since they are busy. The actual waiting time could be longer. However, 45 mins was a bit too much.

Not too many stores. Some stores selling stickers, patches, toys, phone cases and food. Not too many food choices. Would manage to finish walking the whole row in under 30 mins if you're just browsing. Maybe give yourself an hour and a half if you're going to order some food and stand around to eat it. A cheap buy is the cream puff at the end of the row. I bought 9 for $3 and waited about 10 mins in the line. Fried rice from Mamak was decent. Fried noodle and Chinese crepe have room for improvement. $8.50 for roti prata with egg is outrageous :) Ask for more curry because we got very little

If you're in sydney, have a visit. Its fun enough :) theres a bar in the corner for open karaoke where people are super supportive. Cream puffs made fresh Fresh takoyaki, prawn and crab claw balls If you walk across the street where the traffic lights are from the takoyaki place Theres more western restaurants and things open such as messina and a freshly baked pastry with some toppings if you like crispy things!

Great little spot for a coffee and bacon and egg roll. Just a small hole in the wall, does good coffee and friendly lady runs the place.

Lots of stalls selling food, lots of the same thing being sold. Would love to try food from every one of them. So many people, great place to visit. Reasonable prices.

Only open Fridays. BRING cash. There are atms in the HSBC building if you forget. The food was extremely authentic. There aren’t that many good stands, probably 9 in total. If you don’t find anything the streets are also lined with local restaurants I’m sure are very authentic as well.

Small night market, quite a few people. It's Friday during the trip, so most of the food sales and visits nearby. It's not a bad moody!
