Booked their venue for our wedding and we couldn't have been happier. Such helpful and lovely staff made our evening so much better and easier to manage. The guest absolutely loved the look of the place and the cause they support.

We came across The Freedom Hub and the wonderful things they are doing to support anti-slavery, and we reached out to them on a company event. They've got abundance for us to choose from their catering menu, and both the sweet (breakfast basket) and the savoury (sandwiches) all of the options we had in the boxes were sosoooo yummy and tasty said all our colleagues. Their delivery partner is polite, turned up on time for a 7 AM delivery. Would highly recommend them and their great quality food for a good cause!!

My proposal and secret engagement party was a roaring success, due in no small part to this lovely venue, run by a passionate and responsive team. Clear and supportive communication throughout; any kinks were ironed out promptly and professionally. I'm really pleased to be able to contribute to The Freedom Hub's important mission through this joyous event.

Great little space with a small humble menu. The staff are hospitable and friendly. Enjoyed a small açai bowl for brekky in their alfresco seating. It's located on a quiet street. What's more is that the cafe supports a charity to help women escape modern day slavery. A worth cause to put your dollars into, while getting your coffee and brunch fix.

We just had our wedding in this beautiful cafe last weekend, and it was absolutely everything we could have hoped for. Sam was so helpful and attentive during the planning process, and the staff as a whole absolutely smashed the reception. Everyone was so helpful and lovely, and I truly could’ve have imagined getting married anywhere else.

We had our wedding at the Freedom Hub in March 2023. We had been searching for a wedding venue that suited our needs and could be set up in a specific way for our traditional ceremony and rituals. Hosting an ethical wedding at TFH was a great way to stay true to our values and allowed us to bring our catering, drinks and other vendors to make our vision come to life. Sam was great to work with throughout the process and was prompt and thorough in helping us with any questions. On the night, the staff were very attentive and helped us immediately with anything we needed. Our guests loved the unique venue and TFH's values and cause. Highly recommended. Thank you!

We got delicious Freedom Hub catering for our 70 pax work lunch. The salads and rice paper rolls were super yummy!!! The team were really responsive and open to supporting us with a range of dietaries. Thanks so much!

We couldn't have picked a better venue for our wedding. Such a beautiful space, well set up for weddings. The staff were great, very caring. The floor was excellent for our wedding dance.

Absolutely awesome! We ordered lunch for 20 people and it was all delicious and well priced. I also made a mistake while ordering and the team was incredibly helpful with resolving it. Food was delicious and it's just so a no brainer to be putting our catering budget toward such a great cause.

We held a large Indian wedding function (Sangeet) at Freedom Hub and the experience was truly fantastic. Sam worked tirelessly with our wedding planners to ensure everything was up to scratch in the months leading up to the night and was on site the entire time of the function. The venue offered so much flexibility so we were able to bring in the vendors of our choice without any hiccup and were able to use FH furniture on the night as well. If you’re having a large function - look no further. FH are easy to work with, great location, great vibe and most of all - the place has heart.

We hosted a week long event in Waterloo in July for 50 women with Freedom Hub catering and hosting us for breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and coffees. They were incredible! The food was plentiful, fresh, healthy and they worked hard to ensure everyones very specific dietary requirements were catered for. Their baristas made excellent coffee and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The venue itself is beautiful and spacious and we were treated to table service breakfasts and lunches. We will continue to use Freedom Hub for future events. I highly recommend.

I can’t help feeling like our experience could have been so easily made 5 stars if the Avocado Fancy had been a little “fancier”... or even just as expected.. there was a lot of corn, a little mint and some tasty goat’s cheese, but the thinnest spread of avocado we had ever seen in a cafe. It was barely a millimeter thick! The piece of bread underneath was a third empty with no spread... and visibly empty spots of bread even on the top piece. That simply can not justify a price tag of $16. We’d be challenged to pay half of that. That being said, they made one of the best chais we’ve had. Large, smooth silky... and a beautiful, chilled atmosphere, pleasant beats with friendly floor staff. The Halloumi and Mushrooms were fine: Mushrooms were delish but still poor value had we paid full price. Two poached eggs was what the menu promised but there was only one. Perhaps if you identify with their cause to help end modern slavery this will be much better an experience but we had no idea before coming and wanted simply to have brunch. We came here on a Groupon to sample the experience, but we were looking for reasons to shout praise & return for full price and are now not confident we will.

My first time in a cafe in Sydney and it’s too good. Loved the place and the ambiance. Makes you feel warm and comfortable. Good menu with a couple of options. I had the iced latte and a sandwich. Tasted good and I recommend this place to anyone who travel by the Waterloo area. Great attitude and customer service from the staff.

We just had our wedding at this venue. Firstly it was a great experience with all staff members we worked with in the lead up to the wedding. Special mention to Sam for all her amazing tips and help along the way and making sure our day went smooth. Secondly, The space is a beautiful blank canvas with so many different ways to host events & style the space. We got so many compliments from guests and we couldnt have imagined having our cocktail reception anywhere else!!!

Hidden Gem in the backstreets of Waterloo. Great Coffee, Great Food and Great Service, the man who served me this morning was fantastic. I had the Avocado on Toast which was really tasty, and the coffee was fantastic. Great spot to do some work and get out of the house, big tables and free wifi. Highly recommend.

Wonderful catering, supporting a very worthy cause. We hosted a work event catered by The Freedom Hub this morning, and we couldn't be more impressed by the service, the quality and the flavours. Outstanding!

We had our wedding a the Freedom Hub on March 19, 2022, and it was the fourth attempt at us getting married since April 2020. Management was very accommodating the entire time and some of the big draw cards for us was the location (very convenient for our interstate guests and family), the cause and the flexibility in how you can run an event here. I work in the wine industry, so naturally preferred to supply wines I source myself, rather than purchase of a list provided by a venue. We also wanted a casual cocktail-style reception, so we organised a third-party caterer, and all went very smoothly on the day. Corkage was only $100 for the night, the staff had everything setup for us when we arrived and packed everything down once we left. We had many positive comments on the venue on the day and it was a brilliant fit for us. If you're after a well located venue with a lot of flexibility and friendly, helpful management and staff, I recommend The Freedom Hub very highly. Thanks to Sam for her assurances on the day too, really helped us get our nerves under control!

Our daughter had her ceremony and wedding reception here. The flexibility of the layout meant they could set the space up as they wanted. The staff were very helpful in the planning stage, and excellent on the day/night. Everything ran smoothly meaning the happy couple and guests all had a great night. Highly recommended.

Quick service, smiling faces and excellent coffee even in this rain. Have lived in the area for years and only just found this fab place. The manager explained the cause and was so informative, love the passion behind it. Great to see someone so invested in what they do. If your in Waterloo and looking for a decent coffee and some old school great hospitality then pop in. If you do then make sure to get the manager to explain the cause it's amazing.
