Great experience! Was a birthday present from my Girlfriend combined with dinner at night in the aquarium. I do a lot of freediving and have my PADI however I’m also from the UK and I’m equally fascinated and obsessed with sharks that I am terrified of them! i chose a hobby that at some point may involve an interaction with a shark in the wild, so this was a great way to get up close and personal with BIG sharks. Grey nurse sharks also known as sand tiger sharks look terrifying and are massive...apart from wobbegongs and port Jackson’s they are the next likely shark you’ll safely bump into around Sydney and this experience brings you very close to them as after all...not everyone can just find the time to jump off a boat at south west rocks

Overall a great experience, but it was quite disappointing that a few of the things we paid for with the experience were not provided to us. For example, the website states that on completion you will receive an "I Dived and Survived Certificate", which we did not receive. We also paid for photos and videos, and these were honestly of quite bad quality, with some corrupted files. We emailed to ask for the corrupted files to be resent, and received no response.

Sorry to say but this experience was very disappointing. Bought this as a Father's day gift for my husband who was looking forward to it. And myself and the kids were waiting to see him inches from sharks and rays! Firstly, the website says no previous diving experience required. The 90 minutes of prep includes a half hour video, getting your wetsuits on and then just about 30 minutes of practice in the water on the platform before you get in with the sharks. One of the participants in my husband's group, who was a more experienced diver, herself said the whole training seemed rushed for people with no prior experience. My husband, being new to diving, surfaced twice before the instructor told him it might be better for him to not continue with the shark dive. This was very disappointing given that this whole experience is expensive and it would have been good if the instructor had been a bit more patient bit with him and given him some time to get comfortable. Especially after advertising that there is no prior diving experience necessary. Despite the above, my husband said he would have still ventured into the water if he was given a more conformable wetsuit. He let the instructor know right at the beginning that his wetsuit was extremely tight. He was told that this was normal. When he mentioned again that he couldn't breathe properly, they still wouldn't give him a new one. With a tight wet suit, plus the weight of the oxygen tank and other kit, my husband was breathing too fast and in the end he was told to snorkel off another platform. We were all very deflated after spending two hours in the place only to see him snorkel off a platform with sharks in the distance. He would have got a much better view of the sharks being a regular visitor to the aquarium - and he would have been dry! He said the whole thing ended up being a waste. Lastly, I watched the whole diving experience and it is far from 'extreme'. The first 10 minutes was of the divers sitting on the ocean floor while the instructor was taking tons of pictures of the fish. I would recommend that inexperienced divers please consider this carefully before booking.

The staff forced me into a wetsuit that was way too tight that it made my arms go red from loss of blood circulation. I kept expressing my concerns that it was too tight but they were not caring at all. While under the water, I really struggled so hard to breathe that I didn't get to enjoy it at all. My main focus was not fainting the whole time.

My kids bought me the shark dive extreme experience for my birthday and it was so much fun you have to do it too! Seriously, these are professionals who you can completely trust because they know how to put you at ease. So 5 stars and my sincere thanks to Sam, Griff and Brett for the most fun you can have in a wetsuit!

Better than I ever could have expected. The staff that run this experience are absolutely professional yet go out of their way to make your time an absolute blast. I went with a bunch of friends for my 40th birthday last weekend and we were all blown away by what a great experience this was. Even better was the extra attention my wife and two little daughters received inside the aquarium tunnel as they watched their dad dive with the amazing sharks. The girl in the tunnel really took it upon herself to engage my family watching and make it an even more memorable experience for them as well. Special shout out to Kitto and his crew. You all thoroughly deserve this 5/5 rating. So good!

Absolutely loved this shark dive! Myself and four friends went along and had a blast! Sam and Portia were fantastic dive instructors. The dive was very professionally run - we all felt very safe and in good hands. Sam took some amazing photos and videos, so we bought the USB and shared them with each other. It was such a cool and unique experience, highly recommended!

Me and my Boyfriend yesterday did the shark dive extreme. All i can say that is was the best experience I have done. Lucky me and him had a private one because we were the only ones that booked that day but the instructors were so helpful and made the experience very calm and relaxed. We bought the photos and videos and the instructors took such amazing photos. To have sharks 1cm away from you is the most scariest feeling but such a good adrenaline rush. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I loved my adventure through the sea. I felt my adrenaline rush and had a very exciting time. The price is a bit on the higher side but everything else is spot on. I really enjoyed my trip !!

Well I swam with sharks, show can it not be 5 stars. You don't get to touch them so no fin rides. The staff was awesome, and made the whole event even better.

Laurie and Alex took great care of us. Both were very patient. We were nervous and they explained everything really well and made sure we are okay. Laurie took awesome photos and videos too.

I booked the shark dive extreme for myself & a friend and we were both so nervous. Alison & Christo were absolutely amazing, we were so confident once we got in there after the training and it was honestly the best experience of our lives. I did this dive by myself on a solo trip to Sydney. I was a bit nervous with it being my first dive and want to say the Kate & Griff are two amazing people who took time and helped me have one of the best experiences in my life.

I did the shark dive last Sunday. It was the most amazing experience. I was out of my comfort zone but had a wonderful time due to the incredible dive crew, Sam and Kris. A big shout out to Kris for his patient, professional and expert tuition and Sam for her great ability to educate us and guide us through the entire process. The sharks and marine life were amazing. It was a wonderful way to get up close and personal to these beautiful, important creatures.

Chris, Griff and Laurie made sure our group was taken care of and had tons of fun and great memories in the process. They definitely love what they do and it shows. Once in a lifetime experience if you're travelling. Our instructor Harry and Alex were both very friendly and comforting guiding you through the dive. It was my first time scuba diving at all but they were always patient and friendly. Seeing the sharks up close...that I can't describe, see for yourself!

Words can't describe how much fun this was!!! Water was freezing but you forget about that pretty quickly. Took my son too and staff were very attentive and made him feel at ease in the water.

What a great experience. Don't even finish reading this, just go book in!! The dive instructors are fantastic at their job, patient, calm & throw in some humour too. Everything is seemless and I felt really well looked after by all the team. Absolutely amazing experience. Brett, Harry and Ali were fantastic and great fun. The diving for me was the scariest part as I'd never done it before but the staff looked after us all and made sure we were comfortable. The sharks were just incredible! Worth every penny.

I really enjoyed this experience! It is a great introduction to scuba diving for anyone who has not done it. Griff and Fletch were our instructors/guides, and they were amazing- very attentive, friendly, and made us feel comfortable and safe. They were also very knowledgeable. The sharks come very close to you, but you cannot touch them. It was so incredible to see them so close. Do not expect to move around a lot; you mainly just stay in one spot and observe. It is pretty pricey, and you do also have to pay for the pictures if you want them, which are very pricey. But I feel it was all worth the money.

This shark dive was amazing! Me and my family did it for my 21st birthday and the experience was perfect. Ali, Bruna and Chris were amazing. My mum freaked out before the dive (they tried helping her calm down but she couldn't) so I assumed we'd wasted the money and that was it, but they found the alternative of snorkelling up the top which still got her close to the sharks without the fear of the scuba diving! I had my own freak out before going under but Ali took the time to calm me down and I'm so appreciative of this. I can imagine it's hard to deal with scared people all day every day but they were friendly and really made me feel safe. She was very strict with the rules which was fantastic because it made me feel safer, but also knew how to crack a joke and have fun. Well worth the money and would love to do it again. Thank you!

Brett and Laurie were fantastic, funny, and made sure I was completely comfortable every step of the way. The sharks came within inches of my face and it was beautiful and exhilarating. 10/10 would go again.

A great experience with Will, Allison and Jess. They were very professional and also knowledgeable on marine life. This does take around 3 hrs to complete, so make sure you cater for the time. The marine life is really beautiful. Make sure to get the photos after as they look amazing.

Was nervous to dive due to a bad experience snorkeling. All the Sealife staff were so friendly and helpful. Kristo and Chris were wonderful instructors. They were very supportive, patient and kept me safe and calm while diving. The sharks were amazing and I wasn’t one bit scared to be around them. They come up close to you. And there is plenty of other sealife swimming around to enjoy as well. I would highly recommend this dive to anyone interested in marine life or just wanting a taste of scuba diving. This was an awesome experience. Seeing a 12 foot shark glide by inches away was surreal. Our guides were courteous and professional throughout the experience and managed to make even the gear introduction training fun. I really appreciated how they catered to the group’s varied scuba experience. Will, our dive leader, took amazing photos and videos and kept everyone’s nerves settled throughout the training.
