Downstairs is kind of wheelchair accessible, unfortunately lots of stock and reptiles upstairs which is inaccessible to wheelchairs but the staff are great and so willing to help!

Very friendly staff, many items and many different fish type that you won’t find it from outside! And you can see they marked some information about the fish type, ph and the temperature of the fish, very good for the beginner, and you can see their aquarium are very clean! That’s amazing❤️ Because I went many different aquarium and I saw many of them didn’t clean the aquarium and even found some dead fish inside 🤢. But not Hi Tek! Just the price are bit expensive of the Fish and crystal shrimps, if they can mark lower the price will be perfect !

Great selection of fish, the staff are fabulous and knowledgeable but the management leave allot to be desired and dont expect any consideration for loyalty. While im a pensioner and I don't spend as much as allot of people i keep fish and reptiles and have to feed and care for them regularly so i frequent this shop allot, sometimes twice a day. After purchasing a reptile globe from this store yesterday I was lucky enough to be given one before I even had the chance to open the one i had bought. As I had the product only overnight I hoped they would allow me to exchange the globe for some food for my two dragons, that i had bought from this shop along with almost all my fish. The young man said no problem so I grabbed some crickets and was looking around when the young fella said his boss wouldn't take the globe without the little bit of cardboard from inside the box, he appeared embarrassed so I said i would go back home and get said cardboard and return. I went home, grabbed the only globe shape piece of cardboard and drove back from Collaroy Plateau. I put the cardboard on the counter and went to retrieve the crickets to feed to my dragons but guess what... Wrong piece of cardboard. Getting annoyed by this stage as I hadn't actually opened the box as I was given one first i asked if I could have 50 cents off a box of crickets until I return with the right piece of cardboard and he said no. Collaroy is not that far but certainly more than 50 cents in fuel. It has since occurred to me that as I was given the same globe I have the packing for that and could just transfer it but I don't think its worth the frustration if they say no again. I know they wont miss my business but treating regular customers with respect is the basis of good will. What a shame.

Hi-TEK aquariums have always been amazingly helpful. The staff there always take the time to answer any questions that I have. They also made sure that I had the correct water parameters and that the fish I was buying were compatible with the fish that I had. Last thing I would want is dead fish! As well as having a great range of fish, they also have an awesome selection of hardscaping stuff like driftwood etc. The team had some great tips on my aquascaping. My tank is looking great now, and everyone that sees them always comment on how nice they look! Very happy

Hi Tek has just about everything you need for a nice healthy aquarium! The quarantine procedures are there. and sick fish are treated appropriately. The staff are always super friendly as well :D The only gripe is the betta wall is a bit depressing :( it's super old school and needs a bit of an update or just to be removed...

A great place for indoor aquariums and equipment and the best spot for marine fish on the Northern Beaches. Not cheap, but worth the price for the great service and advice.

Great shop, good range (although personally I'd like to see more African cichlids - the only reason I didn't give a fifth star), and helpful staff. I actually find this a great place to browse as there are plenty of things for the kids to look at while I find what I need - not only an abundance of fish, but also reptiles: turtles, snakes and lizards. This is my local aquarium shop and I'll definitely be back.

So helpful. I know I can give them a call or drop in and they are very willing to give me advice on my little sick fighting fishy. Very knowledgeable and polite. Unfortunately my fishy didn't survive (not purchased here) but when I'm ready for another will be going here to buy.

Everything you need for an aquarium and more!

We went to just have a visit. I walked away with a stunning 90cm tank, stand, light and rocks - whoops! A well kept store that looks loved. Great staff that were very patient with the dynamics between my wife and myself, read the scenario perfectly and helped with the purchase. Great amount of hard scape items, huge number of tanks for sale (not just your vanilla Aqua One stuff either) and lots of other equipment. The tanks of fish were brimming! This was also the first store in NSW I have seen with reptiles kept upstairs. I'm very much hoping not to open that can of worms! Thank you people at Hi-Tek, see you soon!

Had a great experience buying a snake from Nathan at Hi-Tek. He was knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic and made sure we understood everything we needed to know about our new snakey. We were really impressed with the quality of service. Always a good place to shop. Excellent all round!
