More popular amongst the ducks than it is with people, likely due to the middling infrastructure and desperate need for better facilities

It is a small but pretty local recreational area surrounding a tranquil lake. Located very close to Cherrybrook Shopping Village, the lake is a nice place to add a little favors for one's mundane shopping trips. The lake might look ordinary at your first glimpse, however it still provides wonderful photography opportunities. I have been there many times and I always feel the lake is like a capable artist who can create marvelous painting-looking pictures. Several photos attached.

The Lakes of Cherrybrook form an interesting hub. The Macquarie Drive and Shepherd Drive junction liesΒ  at one corner, with their respective bus stands on the parameter; The Callicoma Bush Walk passes through it.Β  Cherrybrook Village shopping centre and a petrol/ service station lie just across the road.Β  The Greenway Park- Community Centre and a dog park are within 200 metres. Yet, its a quaint area amidst tall trees; a grass belt separates the lakes from the road. A cemented walkway, benches, barbecue area, picnic tables, drinking fountain for humans and pets are imaginatively placed. A large children's play area, still being further improved, lies just off the water body. There's fair biodiversity. Ducks, fishes, birds, iguanas, and many variety of plants abound. The point is, accessibility is no problem, parking is no problem. Its a good transit halt for walkers... I often grab a sandwich and coffee from Cherrybrook Village Shopping Centre and sit out leisurely in the Sun as part of my long walks. Ditto if I need to keep company to my grandchildren as their parents go grocery shopping at the Cherrybrook shopping centre. It's always a new experience in entertainment and learning. And a Joy!!

A nice pleasant place to walk and spend time with friends and family out in nature, away from the busy concrete life.

Little bland, usually clean environment in terms of the rubbish on the ground however is lacking in the cleanliness of the park benches and bin area. Needs a small renovation in regards to these things. The pond is hidden and is rarely visited.

A very nice small relaxing walk or you can sit and enjoy a meal. There are some nice areas along the way to view the ducks swimming or spot the wildlife in the trees. The only sad thing is that the place was overgrown and looked unkept for awhile. It also links to others walks close by.

Pretty little walk through the bushland. Let's face it, 'Lakes' is probably quite an ambitious thing to say but it is a tranquil place to be nevertheless.. a bit of greenery, close enough to the shops. Sit under the trees and have your lunch or to walk along the water's edge.

A nice small park on the main road with waterfall, small walk trails and ok type park for toddlers to play . The nature beauty is that makes this place a visit provides a nice feeling when you visit. There is a mall right opposite and chairs with benches if you want to do picnic.

A lovely gated playground with a beautiful water feature in sight. No designated parking but on a weekend street parking was sufficient.

Great park for kids, family, friends and dates. In the park you can spot 5+ koi fish as of now along with mosquito fish. You can also very easily spot ducks and if you're lucky you can meet the turtle.

The water fountains were very nice and provides a fine source of photography. It is a bit smelly, but that's just wildness.

Always good for a walk or to take young kids to see ducks and play on swings. Callicoma walk will bring you out to Westleigh and is well worth the effort. Shops are close by and the area is fairly quiet without much crime.

Good peaceful walking area around the lake. The lake needs a bit of an uplift by the local municipality though.

The playground is perfect for toddlers. The whole place isn't too big but brings enough fun, kids love it.

Peaceful walk thru the eucalyptus trees, not strenuous, just a meander through and enjoy the tranquility of nature nearby.

Pretty area right in the heart of Cherrybrook. Great for a relaxing takeaway lunch and will be nice once the playgrounds are usable again.

Renovations being carried out. Lakes very dirty at the moment... Hopefully will improve on cleanliness after renovations.

A decent enough park right next to the Cherrybrook shopping precinct. There are two reasonably sized lakes, some grassy areas, a few picnic tables and a kids playground. There are usually a fair few ducks there as well. It is quite chill. However, the lakes are obviously glorified stormwater drains and in summer the mozzies attack like the West Ham football team. I have seen local scallywags smoking cones there before too. Still, it is pretty nice overall.

Never found the park or the walking track. I saw several people trying to find their way along the loop track, but failed. Even not as good as any community paek.

This is a beautiful spot that I only just discovered even though I've lived in the area for years. Dogs on leads are allowed (and off, if no one is around). I would have given it five stars except the edge of the lakes are dirty, the rest of the lakes are beautiful, so the dogs get dirty on the way in and out.
