The food is tasty, the price is reasonable , but the public holiday surcharge applied , $ 3 for the meal , and $0.5 for the drink (may be?), they accepted the dine voucher

Great variety of cafe food options from Asian fusion to middle eastern. I like how they change the specials from time to time and be very creative with the flavour (e.g: Thai prawn salad, Kimchi crumpets, watermelon mint mocktail etc) The food is freshly made and love their deals. Like the crispy bacon and egg roll that’s freshly made. Update: Mediterranean scramble with fried vege and halloumi has such a nice texture.

Dont bother lining up the Man serves who he pleases at the time. I ordered 2 "Hoochie deals" at$9.80 each the total came up to $23.80. If he is charging a surcharge for public holidays.. He should say so .. And not sneakily do it. He is so rude .. coffee is average at best .. bacon and egg roll average also...Never will I stop here for anything here again

The menu is misleading. Went for English breakfast and pancakes as per the online menu. Nope. Nothing online was there. Not so friendly server as well. Pulled pork was not fresh. The chicken sandwich looked appealing but was bland and dull in taste. Hot drinks were fine.

Great food, mediocre service. Apparently asking for a hash Brown is not something the staff can remember between table and kitchen. Then when asked an ETA on the missing item, I'm told 2 minutes and then right now. 8 minutes later still no hash Brown. Photo to illustrate dissatisfaction with lack of texture.

Stopped by for a coffee and they charged 7$ for a large soy mocha. Coffee was average and definitely overpriced. Passing diners, their meals seemed presentable but uncertain whether I'd rush back.

Food was great, however the girl waitress was so rude. She dropped the drink and left without saying anything and she didn’t give a piss when taking our order. Came on a Thursday brunch, the cashier said its table service but didnt feel like it.

Breakfast was very pleasant. Great coffee to start, followed by Bircher Muesli with fruit and Scrambled eggs on sourdough. Very attentive service, overall a very positive experience.

Unsure why such low ratings..?? Honestly it’s right next to the hospital so it’s very convenient if you’re in the suburb for that particular reason which is why most people visit the area anyways. The people who live nearby just walk to Newtown for a lot more variety of foods. Anyways back to Hoochie… it’s honestly nice food with big portion sizes. Wait times can be longish depending if it’s lunch hour at the hospital. But their food is tasty and staff are nice. I will say their tables are slightly oily though. I think the rating is low due to the general low mood people are in while in the area which is hospital related activities. Try the chicken burger! You won’t go wrong!

Lovely cafe atmosphere. Staff were very pleasant. Thoroughly enjoyed the coffee - piping hot and tasty, nice nutty flavour. Ordered a caramel slice and carrot cake to take away too. The frosting on the carrot cake was overly sweet. However enjoyed everything else.

Absolutely loved the ambience, decor and music. Excellent service, food was scrumptious, excellent presentation and proportions. Only one complaint not really wheelchair friendly as eftpos attached to registers

If you’re after good coffee, head up the road to Campos. After many tries, these guys are constantly either too hot, burnt or over strong coffees are actually single shot. Food was decent though.

Great coffee, great food, friendly service. And if you’re a tea drinker, they use loose leaf in quality tea pots!

Amazing place with a good ambiance! Coffee is delicious and very friendly staff. Accessible and good food on the menu. Perfect for grabbing a coffee with friends and having a good time or a place to study for a bit.

Not only is the coffee here is immaculate, the vibes are out of the world. If you ever pay a visit, I promise you a good time. The staff here are extremely friendly and fun to talk to. It’s perfect place to catch up with friends as well as being the perfect place to grind out a 2000 word essay in an hour. I rate it.

This Cafe has made the experience of attending hospital bearable. The staff are super friendly and as you can see from the pictures the quality of their breakfast dishes are amazing! Highly recommend the Mediterranean Scrambled 🙌🏾

We ordered a decent amount of food for our daughters 7th bday and Stav and the team were incredible in helping us prepare. Food was great, all eaten, staff were amazing. Thanks Hoochie for making the big day a success!

Disappointing, I normal stop by after work,to have a coffee and a bite to eat dinning outside. I ordered as per usually sit outside as it took 10 minutes for my coffee to be brought to me, on top my food was another 20minutes, also was in a take away bag, which I had to get to see why it was taking so long as was just left om the counter, with the rude barista, man stating I should inform if im dinning in ( i didnt inform for take away for starters). AnyhowVery pleasant. Won't be back again. On top a thanks to the waiter as he was kind.

If you like crispy Bacon and fried eggs this is the place to have it. One of the best bacon and egg roll I had. Very tasty. My partner had pulled pork Roll and it was very delicious and a good flavour combination. The apple carrot ginger juice was very refreshing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Prices reasonable. Sat outside and it was very nice.

Stones throw away from busy King Street & RPA Hospital, this deceivingly large cafe has a lot of space & a lot of menu choices. Everything sounds delicious & on this occasion for breakfast, I tried the Lumber jack omelette, scrambled eggs & fruit salad with Coyo. The lumber jack omelette was filling to say the least & had great flavours from chorizo, mushrooms & feta, a delicious, hearty start to the day! Scrambled eggs is always a good test at a cafe & this one was well cooked, not overly creamy which is to my liking. The fruit salad was beautiful to look at & eat! A big plate of colourful, fresh, beautiful fruits accompanied by coconut yogurt ($3 addition). Coffee beans are roasted in house & was a great brew. There is plenty of room inside & out which is great for groups and there is a kids corner with lots of toys and books so is super family friendly also.

My suggestion is to avoid anything that comes from the baguette section here. I ordered the roast beef baguette and found it very skimpy on the filling. Very little bread, aioli, veggies or meat. My MIL ordered the BLAT and it was very well filled and flavourful. Good service, I left my scarf behind and when I came back they had put it behind the counter for safekeeping.

Hoochie Mamma café has an interesting name. Whilst there were no characters of these sorts frequenting this café, it is certainly fabulous and we were met by staff with flair. Sparkly was a top waiter and instantly charismatic. He totally made our visit, being extremely accommodating and providing humor to our morning visit. In close vicinity to the Sydney University Colleges and the hospital and a short stroll from the main street of Newtown, it really caters to everyone. It also has children’s seats and toys and therefore suitable to families too. The space is huge, and comfortable with a good amount of outdoor seating and heaters to provide you warmth in the cold. We tried the special – sourdough topped with feta, rocket and poached eggs for a healthy start to the day. We were also after something sweet and decided upon the pancakes. These were light and fluffy and of a homecooked style. Drizzled with maple, a honeycomb butter and orange rind. Whilst they didn’t appear outrageously fancy, they met the mark on taste. They serve great coffee, by little marionette. A great café and perfect for any crowds. Not too expensive and they have food to suit everyone.

Both excellent service and food! Ordered the corn fritters and chorizo scrambled egg which were delicious. Coffees are on par too. Visited on Sunday morning with plenty of free tables.

Nice seating area and service but food was very overpriced and bland. 16 dollars for what essentially is a Coles salad :(

Very good service. The waitress who greeted me showed to the kids' play area with my toddler which was ideal. They offered to do him a half-size smoothie when I was deciding what to get for him. The smoothie is full of fresh fruit and not full of added sugar! I subsequently ordered scrambled eggs on toast and the waitress brought a second plate and fork for us to share without my even asking. Very thoughtful and pleasant experience.

👍 Best restaurant for South Indian dishes. Worth a try of Biryani. Tried Tandoori Soya today and it was the best I ever had here. Egg65 Biryani was so tasty. Crispy Baby corn was bad seemed like it was not fresh. You should not let your standards drop.
