Very beautiful park to walk. Full of beautiful trees and flower. The park has a very nice War memorial. A great place to take pictures. Hyde Park, Sydney, is an urban park, located in the central business district of Sydney, in the City of Sydney local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It is the oldest public parkland in Australia.

A giant park that is near Town Center. It is a lovely place to take a break from the surrounding concrete jungle. The park is relatively big, and it is great to jog around dinner areas. The change in scenery can help maintain the interest while jogging. The fountain is located at the walking path and it is a lovely spot.

Lovely well kept park right in the centre of the city, worth taking a stroll through and admiring. There’s loads of seating throughout and given the convenient location next to the shopping district and key sights it’s easy to pass through. A very peaceful spot in the centre.

A beautiful BIG park that leads you to many great places. Relaxing when sitting on the grass and benches and looking at fountains. Though, there are many homeless people that sleep in the bushes.

Australia’s oldest park is also one of its most well-known. Hyde Park offers 16 hectares of wide open space in the heart of central Sydney. Features Attractions included Anzac Memorial, Archibald Fountain and many other monuments and statues. Close to transport included St James and Museum train stations are located right next to the park. Bus and light rail are also close by. Shaded areas included Ample trees provide plenty of shaded areas to sit and relax. Public toilets included HISTORIES OF LOCAL PARKS AND PLAYGROUNDS History of Hyde Park Australia’s oldest park came close to being sold in the 1830s. Construction is complete on the final stage in these works. They’ve built a new cafe and outdoor seating area near Museum station. A cafe operator has been chosen and will move in as soon as we’ve obtained the necessary approvals.

A great park for to be in the heart of Sydney. Many areas to explore, large open grassy areas to exercise, meet up in groups. Fantastic place to meet people and chat, open and safe. In good weather it is great for cycling through, rollerblading around. You can always walk through the immaculate gardens. Loads of benches. At night you can see possums, flying foxes, foxes, and of course rats and mice. Only down side with respect to being a city park, is the constant traffic noise, Sirens and sky outlook is half taken up by building's. I was sceptical at First but the figs, chess, benches, and open spaces are welcome in the heart of Sydney.

My favourite park in the CBD..😁👍🇲🇨🇭🇲 In the midst of a very busy city, it is a magnificent park with some great old trees, water features, and enough of space to relax. Hyde Park is a haven in the midst of Sydney's bustling metropolis. It's a great place to sit on a bench and watch the world go by..

A nice green oasis a short walk from the bustle of the Pitt St mall. Connects you through to the Domain and St Mary's Cathedral. Sit back and watch the people, the ibises (and other birds), and soak in the greenery. Bonus points if you get some classics Aussie takeaway to enjoy on one of the benches

Hyde Park is a green oasis in the Sydney CBD, offers fresh air, sunshine big leafy trees birdS chirping, possum squeaking even bats at night, squealing, it’s a nature lovers retreat from the offices and hotels. Lush green grass, great for picnics or lunchtime breaks from work. Statues, fountains — early colonial history. Train bus access, surrounded with cafes, restaurants, museums and Cathedrals and the ANZAC WAR Memorial and reflection pond. Indigenous War Memorial Flower gardens and walking and biking pathways. Great atmosphere worth a visit!

A must stop for anyone who loves trees, big trees, visiting Sydney. The figs at elegant and stunning. Fountains, broad walks, clean & tidy, with plenty of benches to sit and people watch. St Mary’s Cathedral on one side good restaurants of various kinds and prices on the other, close to the Opera House, and plenty of public transportation. Only downside were the public restrooms - portable toilets. Sydney, you can do better on that score.

Spectacular park, established from 1810- 1927. I have been a wanderer of this park for over 35 years and still find it to be very interesting and exciting. With so much to enjoy, you'll want to spend the day here visiting many water fountains, the views of Sydney are awesome, many iconic landmarks can be spotted from here. Go for a picnic or just relax and enjoy. Don't forget to feed the posums with your kids at dusk, they love bread, pls don't get too close, they are people friendly but we must respect their wild animals. This beautifully maintained park has so much colour. The war museum at the West end is a must.

Hyde Park has different vibes. It is a huge and beautiful park in the heart of Sydney City. Extremely clean, very well maintained, and close to the station. In Hyde Park, you will see a different type of people, different generations enjoying their time. Some people come to see Cathedral, some come to see fountain, some people just come and sit and enjoy the greenery / nature in a concrete jungle around. I have also seen people bring their mat and pray 🙏 🤲🏻. People plan their picnics here. Birthdays, maternity shoots, wedding shoots, etc The bathrooms 🚻 are there in the park. Hyde Park is definitely one of my favourite parks in Sydney.

A famous park easily accessible from the city center with a nice fountain and a St Mary's Cathedral nearby. I was little bit jealous that there was a park like this in the big city. I was more envious of people leisurely lying on the green grass. I hope that my luck will increase by seeing a rainbow at the entrance.

This green park stands out as the finest I've visited thus far. The towering trees that populate the area create a profound sense of tranquility. Their expansive canopies not only enhance the park's aesthetic appeal but also contribute to a refreshing coolness that envelops the surroundings. It's a place where one could easily spend hours, reveling in the serene atmosphere and appreciating the meticulous preservation that has bestowed such natural beauty upon this park.

The Hyde Park in Sydney is one of the must see sightseeing spot. It can't be compared with the Hyde Park in London, still it's a park that has a big fountain and statue. A nice place to rest and sit under the big trees to enjoy the park. The St. Mary Church becomes part of the Hyde Park view.

Hyde Park is an iconic park. I just love Hyde Park and it's beautiful colors in all the seasons. It’s just exactly how is shown in the movies! Beautiful, peaceful, big and very inspiring. The park is great to visit all year long. During the summertime, I’d recommend to rent a bike and explore this park from bottom to top, also there are plenty of outdoor activities that you can do with your friends and family like canoeing or going to their small zoo.

So much green space in the city. Hyde Park is in flawlessness. Appreciate the all the way open spaces, go for a walk around the recreation center toward the evening. Investigate and regard the ANZAC Memorial since it's been refreshed. It's really moving. It's a significant bit of Australian history - that illuminates who we are today. The best park in Sydney For it helps us that the opportunity to remember our nation's law was not a give as some might suspect? the Price was the most important product one could pay in case we overlook Love this park, extraordinary to walk and appreciate the delightful fig trees. Additionally immaculate to walk your pooch, do some activity, and unwind. The new War Memorial exhibition hall is phenomenal, certainly justified regardless of a visit; normal with the redesigned dedication itself A really little park yet all around kept, bunches of obscure regions and great ways for individuals to go through. Even more a recreation center you take a gander at and stroll through than plunk down in/and have an excursion yet useful for that regardless. Exceptionally roomy.

Hyde Park is old af and has a beautiful charm to it. Lots of paths to lead you around and through, plenty of grass for mini picnics and lunch breaks. The sun shines everywhere but also it has plenty of shade and seating to relax and enjoy the space. Inside you will find the Archibald Fountain, ANZAC Memorial & Reflection pool and the Sandringham Memorial garden and fountain. A giant chess board and a few statues.

Amid all the din of the central business district, Hyde Park is a sanctuary of sprawling lawns, shady picnic spots, flowers, fountains, and fig trees. Like a mini Central Park, this welcome patch of green, named after Hyde Park in London, offers prime people-watching - especially at lunch when city workers come here to kick off their shoes. The park's bronze Archibald Fountain (1932) commemorates Australia's alliance with France during WWI, while the Art Deco Anzac War Memorial (1934), in the southern half of the park, honors its victims. At the north end of Hyde Park, in Queens Square, are three fine Georgian buildings, masterpieces of the convict architect Sir Francis Greenway: Hyde Park Barracks, St. James' Church, and the Supreme Court. Built by convict labor in 1817-19, Hyde Park Barracks was restored to its original condition in 1975-84 and now houses a museum on the history of Sydney portraying the lives of the first involuntary "settlers." On the east side of Hyde Park is the Australian Museum, with the largest natural history collection in the country.

Green gem in the heart of the city! Best way to reconnect with nature while living in the city is to walk, jog or even just chill in Hyde Park. Plenty of benches available to sit down, or you can bring your picnic mat to sun bathe on the grass.

Top marks for its simplicity and location. Simplicity in that although it’s not a better walk or scenery than the Royal Botanical Gardens, it provides a great spot for people to relax for office workers to enjoy their lunch or shoppers to take a breather. The Archibald Fountain is an iconic landmark worth checking out. The location is perfect, so close to Pitt St mall and Museum station, and other landmarks nearby.

Lovely park in the middle of the city. Visit the war memorial, it's beautifully and respectfully created as well as informative. During the Sydney festival (and at other times) there are also events in the park like the Noodle Market, Christmas Carols, Spiegel Tent etc.

Great place to visit whilst in Sydney. A must walk item it has a variety of statues, memorials and other things to see. I think the city of Sydney was going for a central park vibe and they have definitely hit it. There are some public toilets about but if you really need to go there are a bunch of cafes and shops around. Would not recommend passing out on the grass after a night out as police get called out pretty quickly.

I was impressed with the park. The park is kept landscaped and clean. The day I went, the weather was nice and people were enjoying picnics or laying down. Hyde Park is a good central landmark for using public transportation. The Anzac Memorial is located in Hyde Park. I did not see the unhoused or people asking for money in the park. Not saying they aren't there, just the different routes I took I did not see them.

Please be quite there in respect of the great and fallen it's very quite there if your going to talk whisper as I did to get permission to film and take photos which I may add you can and then go down the lower level and you'll see sand just go. There are also ladies and gents toilets on said level there are 1 hour tours and free but please leave what you can in way of a donation at the front desk as I will on 1 o'clock Saturday.

One of the oldest park in Australia, that’s why it was included in the NSW Heritage. It’s very nice to see it, it offers enchanting settings for nice photo shootings and to spend time there chilling out surrounded by ibis. Moreover, inside the park there is the St. James’s train stop.

(Translated by Google) Early in the morning, I couldn't go anywhere because the tourist spots were open, so I had a stroll in the morning at Hyde Park. The park is not as large as Central Park in New York (USA) (Central Park 341 ha, Hyde Park 16.2 ha), but it is large enough to walk around, with many tall trees and a feeling of being surrounded by greenery. It was nice to walk. There are local people who run, walk dogs, etc., and feel the local atmosphere. Nice grassy areas with plenty of trees for shade. Interesting monuments to give you a sense of history. Nice to see some greenery in the city centre. Lost a star because protestors took over the area and invaded my peace and quiet

Great place in Middle of city to escape to the green grass, fresh air. To sit, think, relax, meditate, clear the mind, people gaze. Always come away with clearer head/thoughts and feel good within. Totally refreshed. On a nice day could stay there all day.

Hyde Park is truly the heart of the city of Sydney with extremely easy access via public transport. It is Australia’s oldest park and also one of its most well-known. Hyde Park offers 16 hectares of wide open space in the heart of central Sydney. Full of beautiful spots to spend time and relax with family or friends. A large number of amazing monuments are offered. In particular, the ANZAC memorial is something out of words beautifully designed and built to remind the braveness and scarification of ANZ soldiers during WW 1. Highly recommended.

Hyde Park is always a great way to begin to explore Sydney on a family day out. From the northern end with the Archibald Fountain to War Memorial in the south. The City on one side to St Mary's Cathedral on the other. Walk amongst the sun drenched lush large green trees full of busy squirrels, this place is a family favourite.

Cool park for a picnic :) A real historic deal to the whole area with the old church and then walking to the underground train station was like walking into another era.

From a train station, to beautiful fountains to canopy laid passage, to a world war memorial, hyde park was something special, a peaceful place in the middle of the city. Worth going for a picnic or an everyday jog or even a cross through to reach the other side.

A huge city park. Divided by Park Street. Lots of spot of memorial statue, building, fountain, small garden, even 2 train station underground, etc. Clean and tidy. Just relax, sit on many benches and enjoy the views.

Sydney's Hyde Park is a jewel in an already beautiful city. Clearly a lot of careful planning went into this delightful place, and you really must walk around in it as much as you can. Be sure to see the magnificent Archibald fountain with St Mary's Cathedral as the backdrop, the wide avenues of shady trees, the extensive lawns and plantations, the Captain Cook statue, and the Anzac Memorial. If you end your walk near Museum station and feel like a rest, jump on the 333 Bus and let it take you for a city tour to the famous Bondi Beach.
