Very rude and ignorant stuff. Completely ruined my experience and made me cry!! They refused to give their name for me to write the complaint, so just wanted to let their employer know that they were working 19th June, 4 pm. One is a black skin man on the door and the second one is a tall white guy with glasses and the beard. The next day I’ve sent them the same comment and explained the whole situation in their lnstagram expecting them to apologise for their team member. Instead they have deleted my comment and blocked my account!! This made me really angry. Terrible customer service and zero understanding of problem solving. I’ll never go to this gallery again. There are so many amazing little galleries in Sydney to support, who are really value their visitors.

some staff were sooo rude!We are just put a little handbag on the floor while my frd help me hold my coat. A tall and African staff use very impolite tongue even use his finger pointed us and said don't put anything on the ground. (At that time I have already get my bag before he told us) The most funniest thing that is in the same area there are another group of people took a long time to take photo and block the best view infront of the painting, but no one give them a notice. I’ve been to so many art gallery and museum, worst experience ever. If you want to ruin your best weekend, highly recommend this gallery?

It's a place where you can realize how many great artists there are in China. An art museum that entertains the eyes and ears with unique works every season. It's not as big as I thought, but it's a variety of art exhibitions in each section that are organized in a variety of ways. Personally, I really like and cherish this place.

My favourite gallery in all of Sydney. I absolutely adore the Asian art culture that this gallery sheds light on. It gives a voice to existing and emerging Asian artists to speak openly and freely about matters they feel need greater awareness. I also love how they change the exhibit every so often to showcase different artist works. I go every single time there is a new one and love it every time.

A wonderful and thought provoking gallery that continually provides a platform for conversation about social issues. The exhibits change periodically and the current exhibit in September has a lot of young Asian artists. The staff are really helpful, there are adequate toilets on every level and lifts as well as stairs for easy access. There is a small cafe as well which has an interesting ceiling art. Free to enter which is also great

Easy to get to by public transport, is free and the staff are always friendly. Please be mindful of the artworks and don't assume you can touch. Currently as I'm writing the review there's a beautiful installation. Recommend everyone to go see when possible. I was there on a weekday just after midday, it wasn't too crowded but by 1pm it started to get busy.

This is a good gallery if you’re like me and don’t like walking around looking at exhibits for hours on end. There are three levels, the first 2 have about 3 exhibits and the 3rd has just the one. The exhibits were fairly profound, conveying somewhat unanimous themes throughout, such as nationalism, neoliberalism and capitalism. I enjoyed this gallery thoroughly, it was nice being able to complete a gallery without being bored. Would recommend for all interested in going to galleries that are interesting but short and sweet.

Amazing art works and installations. Spreading over 4 floors, each with different connotations of Chinese history and culture. The staff is very knowledgeable and professional.

The first thing I heard when I entered the gallery was someone yelling "Dont touch!". The artwork is amazing and definitely worth visiting especially because it is free entry. BUT the staff working there are all so rude and NOT friendly. I heard and saw multiple people being told off for various reasons. I was standing very close to a piece of artwork to look at closely with hands behind my back I must say, and a staff member came out of nowhere and rudely said "Give it some space!". I also saw someone get told off for drinking water in the hallway. So to sum it off, good gallery, bad staff.

A museum with a lot to discover. You will find paintings, videos, objects and other kind of arts that are all Chinese. The entrance is free and there is a small shop and a cafe too. If you like art and Chinese culture it is a must to visit I will definitely recommend this museum. On the last floor the video about sculpting a man in clay was really good. A great visit 😊

Really amazing gallery. Exhibits are so thoughtfully curated, and employees are all extremely knowledgeable. Happened to arrive just in time for a guided tour. Learned many of the artists' stories, and the inspiration behind their work. Also appreciated that the tour guide provided their own commentary and opinions about the work. Overall a really intimate, moving experience.

Only visited the one time however they have awesome displays on during the year. It was a pleasure to see the lights display just before the 2021 lockdown in Sydney as the city was closing down. Despite the frustration and challenges at the time, the staff were accomodating and welcoming. Would love to visit again now that things have returned to normal!

An excellent art gallery free of entry. The workers are happy to guide you through the gallery and help with the interactives. There's various floors where art works are held and a gift shop & cafe are available. A small but well thought out gallery and overall a pleasant experience to expose yourself in contemporary artists.

I always love going to White rabbit gallery and bringing friends and family of all ages. The exhibits are always very interesting and captivating and I always know that something will capture my imagination. Usually the top floor has a big multimedia experience but I always find that the exhibits on the first two floors are more interesting

A free gallery exhibition with several floors filled with really imaginative and interactive contemporary art. Friendly staff located all around to help & give detailed descriptions of the different art pieces. Worth checking them out but prepare to queue for at least half an hours before you can get in.

Really cool gallery. I was pleasantly surprised, as I went there not having done any read up or knowing anything about the gallery. I am not art fanatic, but the pieces in this gallery were beautiful. Really something people should see. Highly recommend checking it out - there’s also a cafe at the entrance, which looked cool also.

Randomly came across this gallery on a walk and it is now my fave in Sydney. As someone that's generally disliked contemporary art I have enjoyed every exhibition I have visited here. Wifey says it is because the art has had social themes I identify with - environment, politics, current affairs etc. Highly recommend.

Amazing gallery and pieces. I'm not too much of an art buff so I can't comment in detail but I love how white rabbit gallery is always evolving and changing their themes and displays. Free entry is awesome and front desk are super polite as always. Definitely worth a few visits a year. 🙌 All that being said, some of the staff need to chill tf out. Once I had a drink with me which I didn't know wasn't allowed - completely fair which I'm happy to stay outside to finish it. A simple "hey no drinks allowed here" would suffice but Mr Security Guard, don't come up to me without saying anything and just start shooing me away. It's a little weird and rude. Use words next time, yeah? And just seeing how the other staff would watch some visitors like hawks even though they're still a respectable distance away from the art works, as soon as someone takes a small step forward or leans in that direction, they come up in their space and go DON'T TOUCH. Don't think the job description comes with lecture people like children, a firm reminder works just fine 😬

What a great gallery, I personally prefer this to the MCA. It's like a miniature NGV for Sydney. Really cool exhibit that is FREE, and it's super clean and modern inside, lovely staff and decent gift shop and little restaurant attached. I know I will be returning next exhibit

One of my favourite place in Sydney! Make sure to pay a visit if you are around and have some time to spare. The tearoom is beautiful and we love spending time at the souvenir shop.

Super cute free gallery! It has three levels (elevator) and is easy to enter and exit. The art work is super unique and has the conceptual context. When I went, they had a game and you got to play it! Definitely worth visiting if you're around the area. Why not?

Always surprising and imaginative, the new exhibition 'Big in China' expands what you think art can be. At times it places you in the uncanny valley or in a tranquil state of reflection. Some pieces leave you silently contemplating the time and artistry involved. This gallery curates its pieces elegantly and, much like its serves of egg and chive dumplings, you are left feeling sated but looking forward for more.

I have visited this gallery several times as I live nearby. The art displayed is very good sculpture , paintings , photographs , and at one viewing, a replica house on display. However I have complaints too. I actually asked if I could submit some work for the gallery and was given an email to apply to. By the way I am Western and might not meet the criteria, but my children are half Chinese! Also the subject matter was In Asia and I had displayed at many galleries in Phnom Penh. The art also had some politics to it as in preserving architecture. I would have been happy with 'Sorry the work is not up to standard or we are booked until 2080 ,or you are not an Asian artist in Asia.' But I was ignored. I felt this is rude as after all this is an art gallery and there may be many potential artists out there like me. My other complaint is about the staff. And I have just read a review by someone with the same complaint ( I thought I may have been oversensitive) There are staff in the gallery dressed up in the kind of uniform of ethnic hill tribes in the mountains of China, Laos , Thailand , and Vietnam. There are a lot of them. When I viewed the house I noticed the outside of the house was made of hessian sacking. And I touched it with my finger.( It was probably from Bunnings and pretty hardy). Immediately I was told off and embarrassed as it was crowded and I was made to feel like a naughty school boy. Today I went upstairs to the top floor and was looking at a display (not touching) and was told to more or less get out. I actually do not know what I was doing wrong. I turned on my heels and just walked straight out of the White Rabbit gallery. Again made to feel embarrassed. I am not going to carve my name on the cute railway seat on floor 2. I am not going to glue myself to a painting in protest. This art is good but it is not priceless. THis is not overcrowded Paris or Venice. I am sure all the customers are very well behaved. Better behaved than the hill tribe guards I am sure.

Throw out any preconceived notions you have about Asian art and be in awe. This amazing little gallery not only has free admission but also free tours. The interwoven pieces of contemporary and traditional art are truly provocative and must be seen in person.

Always wanted to go to White Rabbit and honestly, no regrets. Exhibits were insane not only in content but also in curation. Been wanting to go for awhile now. The exhibition on show this time was 'i loved you' which was really nice. The exhibition was very raw, very personal and intimate to experiencing human emotions and thoughts. There was a range of mediums to be seen throughout, so that was really nice. There is only 3 floors, so it's quite a small gallery and you can easily look through everything in under 1hr. Was hoping for some large scale 3D sculptures as seen online, but wasn't any this time around. The staff were really nice and would tell you about the artwork and artist if you were interested to listen. Would love to go again when there is other exhibitions on and try their cafe too.

This is the worst experience I have never expected in this gallery. One black skin staff is very rude. That ruins my whole experience in this gallery. He worked on the ground floor on 24th June with a little counter on his finger, and he uses his finger to point my friend and me to blame us. If he wants to remind people is ok, but the behaviour of him is offensive conduct. Let us feel uncomfortable, and his tone made us felt being treated rudely.
