Due to the covid restrictions it has become a more limited and personal experience. The displays are all still available and you have a guide who will escort you to each area. The guide is full of knowledge and is very happy to share it with you to enhance your experience.

The Anzac Memorial stands stunningly in Hyde Park. The building will not be missed. It is very well-maintained with rich histories from the war. Definitely worthwhile to spend some time browsing through the museum to learn something about the past.

A quiet place in the middle of the big city was a bit of a relief from the long day we already had. It was nice just walking through and enjoying the air and the birds and the trees with the noise out of our ears. I really enjoyed the park and the views were pristine. Definitely wish I could return.

A very sombre and respectful memorial. The new extensions are fantastic, packed full of lots of very interesting information. I especially liked the area housing soil from each NSW town and soil from each major battlefield. The staff are very, very knowledgeable and are great to talk to and ask questions of. A very interesting look at the military history of NSW. A wonderful tribute to the fallen and those that served.

Very moving. It was great to listen to the Royal Australian Air Force men who served their country, via the recordings on the lower level.

Stunning Architectural tribute to all those who gave their life for Australia in two world wars and all conflicts. Located at Hyde Park Sydney close to the Museum railway station. Built in Art Deco style. One interesting fact about the structure is that a large amount of the marble used in it's construction was quarried locally from regional NSW. The memorial has been extended in recent years with an underground exhibition space displaying memorabilia from our armed forces. This extension was part of the original blueprint, however was shelved for the best part of 100 years. Come here with reverence and humble reflection.

A monument that is worth visiting if you're walking around Hyde Park with a sobering meaning behind it. Serves to remind us of the horrors of war and the costs that come with it. Entry is free, but do mind the opening hours.

There are a lot of exhibits inside, and while other museums open at 10am, this one opens at 9am, making it a great first stop.

Quite a spiritual space with experiential passageways, rooms that feel spiritual and exhibits that are quite engaging. We enjoyed the sloped lift up the stairs the most.

A wonderdul memorial space in a great location. Super friendly staff. Hard not to get emotional. I wish the world full of peace without any war. The Anzac Memorial is a heritage-listed war memorial, museum and monument located in Hyde Park South near Liverpool Street in the CBD of Sydney, Australia.

What a hidden gem the displays are underneath the memorial in Hyde Park. We spent a couple of hours there and only left because they were closing. Some great stories to read and hear. Great displays. Truly an honour to visit and pay our respects.

The memorial is located at Liverpool Street end of Hyde Park. This ornate large monument stands alone in the park and is a constant and wonderful reminder of sacrifices of the Anzacs to our country and lands beyond our shores. The lower ground exhibition gallery is accessible via steps or a lift from the upper level. It's highly informative and contains military armaments, attires and mementos from Anzacs past and present.

When entering up the stairs, make sure you turn your phone on silent as it is a place of reflection for all ANZACS. So many beautifully designed sculptures of soldiers, nurses, doctors, RAF and more, all created with respect of those that have passed. As you move to the lower floors, you see so much history. You will be faced with boys aged 15 who begged their parents to let them join up, only to survive a week in the front-line, others that survived and went on to many wars over the years and earned an abundance of medals and marched the Anzac parades for the rest of their lives. I could go on but I'll leave that for you, for your visit or visits as you will want to go back again and again. It's a place that makes you both sad and thankful for their service as we are here because of their selfless and courageous acts.

Hard not to get emotional when visiting this magnificent tribute to those that have gone to war on our behalf. The people are helpful, and the displays are wonderful. You’ll spend time walking silently between exhibits, reading about the history of people, places and events. And if you take it all in as a contributing foundation of your life as it is now you’ll be appropriately humbled. Job well done.

This memorial is situated at Hyde Park. If you have a keen interest in history then you should definitely check this place out. The exhibits are displayed underground and they were well maintained and spoke a lot about the history of Sydney and of wars. Overall the landscape of the park is also very great you can definitely spend some time over here as well.

This was a really moving and informative experience. The work done on reimagining this monument is incredible, the designers have struck the balance between reverence and education perfectly. The wall monument with soil samples from all the registration posts is beautiful as are the soil samples from all the locations where ANZACs have served. The statue at the top of the stairs is breathtaking and the calm and stillness created by the fountains and water features really makes you reflect. The museum/education section is of a really high standard and so informative, not only for WW1 but throughout history. Finally, the staff were amazing. Kind and calm, they gently offered their assistance and were great with the children in helping them to understand what they were looking at.

We had an amazing afternoon in the ANZAC Memorial. The guides were very informative and more than happy to give us their time to explain the exhibits. A must visit. Was totally in awe of The Hall of Service. Incredible to see 1701 places names with the Home Soil. So moving. My own little village listed. Very proud to be a parent of two current serving ADF members. Lest We Forget.

A fantastic memorial space in a great location. I’ve walked past it so many times in my life but only went inside recently. Definitely worth a visit. Thanks for doing a great job in keeping their memories alive.

A beautiful memorial for the services over the years in peace time and at war. Many levels, rooms and spaces with art, sculptures, statues, stories written, visual oral stories, books, videos, all detonated to the men and women who have served. A place for quiet contemplation and show reflect by learning about the many stories and services over the years. Make sure you have extra time to explore, there’s so much to see and so many exhibitions. On one level they change the exhibition each year, so there’s new items makes sure there’s new items for those coming back. I was really amazing at how many rooms and levels. There’s so much to see.

Memorial and museum, a place of solemnity and stories. We visited expecting to just spend ten minutes or so. Ended up wanting to stay longer... so we did. Make sure you go downstairs to the museum and look around.

A very good memorial. The stories, audio, sculptures are so well placed that it gives a real world view. I was imagining if I am the part of the story myself.

Beautiful, moving and educational. This was the highlight of our trip to Sydney. The team who work here were so kind and knowledgable. The building and the central sculpture are humbling and the exhibition a confronting reminder of the horror of war. A triumph of talent, endurance, courage and light that remind us of the sacrifices of a generation.

Amazing and moving place. Didn't know it was even there, but it was a wonderful discovery with lots of War history, including dirt samples from all over NSW and from the War areas such as Messines and Gaza.

Had a wonderful educational experience at the ANZAC Memorial in Hyde Park. I have to thank our “guide”, Ashleigh, who met us at the entrance and asked if we had any questions. I think I said “can you start at the beginning?”, which she did. She was great! Don’t just wander in, allow one of the guides to tell you the history - Ashleigh was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the ANZAC history, as well as the early history of the development of Australia. Certainly a highlight of our day.

The Anzac memorial is for veterans. Originally for WWI veterans. There were updates in 2016 to honor all veterans of conflict up to Iraq and Afghanistan. The collection of memorabilia is breathe taking. The museum can transport you back in time as you discover each area. Currently, there is an exhibit of portraits of Vietnam Veterans as they are today. Each picture has a story.

I love this memorial for its grandeur and its permanent reminder of the wars our country has fought in and died for. Hyde Park is such a beautiful setting for this memorial. A place to sit and reflect. The refurbishment both inside and outside the memorial seemed to take forever but it was worth it. The building is beautiful.

I am an American tourist visiting Sydney for a few days, and I visited the Anzac Memorial as part of a self-made walking tour that also included the Australian Museum, St Mary's Cathedral and the Art Gallery of New South Wales. All are free to visit and the Anzac Memorial is a solemn memorial to pay homage to the veterans of Australia's foreign wars. Not only is there a large building housing an eternal flame for WWI victims but also a wading pool and underground memorial, which is not to be missed. The Anzac Memorial is open daily except on Good Friday and Christmas Day.

A must visit place for all the historians and history lovers. Pretty much clean and the museum below has tons of artifacts and priceless possessions from various wars. There's also a very beautiful display of soils from in and around NSW. There's also a store from where souvenirs and other showpieces can be bought within reasonable prices. Overall a must visit place if you are a History lover and in and around the Sydney CBD.

As an ex-serviceman this place has special meaning. But, indeed it is special for all Australians, whether you have served in the military or not. One of the key reasons for the founding of this memorial was to recognise the sacrifice made by the State's military in WWI. Lest We Forget. Now, of course, its role has expanded to recognise sacrifices made by our military in all conflicts, not just WWI.
