DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE i paid $30 to get in here just to get kicked out for “being to drunk” i had only had 2 drinks and they totally mistreated me . i tried to explain to them that i was not drunk and they where so rude and horrible customer service … i do not recommend going here at all, expensive drinks and horrible mean staff, racial and homophobic team , especially mindy, horrible manager.

Must know : Line up to get in 10 min Entry = 30 dollars 💵 Drinks = 12 AU onwards This place is located on the second floor of shark hotel. To get in you have to get in to shark bar diet which is free entry and then go up the straits to the next level were kandy is located. My experience: Room 1 = RNB ( pop ) In this room the music was average, space wise a bit small but ok for dance. Room 2 ( Latin room) Well I was there for 3 hours and all I heard was just super fast beats. The music can be super loud specially if you hang around the front as their speakers are on the ground ( the big ones) and the floor feels like is going to colapse. I don’t see this bar as a *Latino club* as they mix it up to sound more like electronic. There were moments when they released a few latin songs, however they were made to dance it to fast. If you are Latin@ and wanna dance latin music such as salsa, cumbia merengue and nice regueton this may not be the exactly Latino place. This place is more like an electronic party. I was a bit disappointed as It was not what their advertised in the website. A good latino place doest not sound like that in my experience. I notice that some arabs males were pretending to be latinos saying they were from somewhere in “South America” 😆to get girls attention 👧 don’t know why 😂!! I also notice that lots of people smoke inside this club, I don’t know why security never did anything about it as that is not legal (e-cigarette). I recommend that they should consider correct their advertising and describe exactly what people will be expose too. I regretted paying 30 dollars 💵 The Shark bar is free entry and drinks are more affordable👊🏿 I personally never look for cheap options as money is not an issue, I look for quality !! and this place doesn’t have it !!

The DJ in the latin room clearly needs better preparation. His mix of random sounds ‘music’ is outrageous, impossible to dance at least for a couple of minutes, he can’t make good transitions and his playlist is boring. The good songs only last for a few seconds and the show on the stage is embarrassing.

THE BEST NIGHTCLUB IN SYDNEY !!!! The staff and customer service 10/10 Not to mention the gorgeous ladies at the door are so welcoming and beautiful. It’s such a vibe each and every time I attend. There is literally no club like this in Sydney.

Good Latin music, however, if you want a good mix of music and are under 25 I don’t recommend. Went for Afro beats but didn’t hear a single song, plus the alcohol was overpriced and watered down. If you want afrobeats just walk to MVP. I attended the event upstairs on saturday night, so yes i did attent :) In response to the comments made. Yes my original account was called burner as I use it so I don't get junk mail in my main account, and unfortunately that was the account logged in at the time of me writing my review. However, your back and forth and in willingness to accept criticism really speaks to the nature of an establishment.

Awful! Music is really old. Is not to hard to look for top charts songs only, please guys do your homework. The host does never stop shouting to the mic, he sounds like a gout with faringitis and people can never know what song is playing

Best night out in Sydney, best djs and host always making the crowd feel like the part of the Kandy family, best Latino party ever, thanks Mc Rafa to give us every weekend all the best of you.

Music is ok, drinks not too expensive, but the crowd is pretty bad. Don't recommend.

Was pressured to attend here on Sat night at a friend's request. Unfortunately the bold, short ethnic security guard at the front decided he didn't like the look of me as pulled the "how many drinks have you had?" line with a grin on his face. As I literally just came from dinner with 1 red wine in me and have not been asked this line for over 10 years (even on the occasions I actually was intoxicated) I knew Tonight, very sober, this particular guard didn't like me and wanted to abuse his 1 night of power. I didn't bother arguing despite my friends pleas (who actually had been drinking), I knew it was personal and considering this particular guard was given the short card on life (figitivly and literally) I convinced my friends to leave and go somewhere good (cargo bar where security are not so insecure). My expectations of kandy were not very high in the first place so this particular ego-centric over weight guard actually did me a favor. So thanks.

The best Latin club there isss! I give it a 100/10! The music, djs, atmosphere and owner are just incredible and know how to run a club. Can not recommend enough, best location, best people, massive venue and amazing music!

Great nightspot but a few things to mention, RNB room a little small. Alcohol prices are expensive and 70% of the music in the latin room was EDM not Latin.

Music is good but it's a scam how they charge you to get in then charge insane prices for alcohol. Either make it free entry or charge entry and heavily reduce the price on alcohol.

Best Club ever in Sydney! No matter what we are doing on a Saturday night, we always wound up at Candys. Best staff, best music, best Djays, it’s just amazing! The staff are much more laid back and down to earth than other clubs in Sydney so you can come here and really get down like a boss! The security guards really take care of you as well. They are always on the lookout to make sure everyone is happy and having a good time! I’ll be back next weekend and every weekend after that lol

It's great Latino nightclub from the night I went there. There is a smoke area where you can smoke and no music. And there is also another small area to dance that is mainly for general music not Latino focused
