Bistro is over priced for its average quality. $29 for a small rump steak with french fries, no salad included. Steak was tough and the red wine jus was watered down. Very average food and very over priced.

Monday & Tuesday night is happy hour, but the olive bistro is closed. Guess it’s ok if you like a sausage roll or pie for $8 Sandwich tomato & cheese $9.00 Very disappointed bring back the old club Waste of time coming. 😞

This is the first time I've been there since it was re-opened. First there is no sign out on the street telling you where the parking is then when you get in there you have to drive down 4 levels to get to the parking but the sign outside the gate is not very big and we weren't sure where to go so luckily a resident was getting out of their car and told us where to go & what to do they also pointed at the small sign that you can't read from inside your car as the writing is that small. Apparently we were not the only ones who had difficulty as they told us mostpeoe aren't sure what's going on if it's their first time. The price of the food at the dining room was so expensive even other guests there were saying the same thing! I ordered the Pumpkin, Sage and Somked Mozzarella Arancini in a Sugo sauce. Service was quick but not many people were there. The Arancini was tasteless and the Sugo sauce tasted like a watered down version of tomato paste. You got 3 for $13 and I only ate half of 1. There were two tiny sage leaves as a garnish and I mean tiny! That was the only sage in the dish. My friend wasn't going to pay $17.50 for Fried fish and chips and luckily we spotted the cafe menu as all she wanted was a pie and chips and luckily there were pies in the cafe menu but she still had to buy the chips off the dining room menu. The only good thing about the meal was the chips! They were freshly cooked and came with a aioli. You only get a discount on your food as a member which for the Arancini worked out to $11.50. No cheaper drinks at the bar though. You pay the same price as every non-member. I suppose hiking up the food costs and paying full priced drinks is what there doing to pay for the new club. Even when wanting to use the toilets there are no signs anywhere. We had to flag down an employee to ask where they were. The only good thing about the night was the staff. They were polite and friendly. They were a bit slow with the drinks as we had to wait a while to be served. There were two staff on but one was obviously a trainee as the other one helped and watched her serve. I did have to take my drink back twice as they couldn't hear what I was saying because they had a trivia night on and when they were giving people time to write their answer down they were blaring out music. They were very apologetic about the mix up but did say they were finding hard to hear people speak. All in all it was a pretty dismal evening and we won't be going back in a hurry.

It’s all about the poker machines here. Seriously, you can’t even sit for lunch without them being in view or being heard. The only “outdoor” area is again in the pokies room and set aside for smokers. Pretty disgusting. They tried, but unfortunately the poor layout and focus on gambling means I’ll never be back. All things considered I would not recommend this place to families unless they changed the design and canned the smoking on site.

Dropped in for lunch. Everyone was very friendly and it looks great. I had a chicken salad, which was nice. It was quiet here, but apparently, it gets busier at night.

It used to. the stuff are nice friendly and very welcoming atmosphere. Now it becomes boring doll and rude stuff. poor judgement most specifically the front old man this club is going down the drain if they keep this racist old man in the front he lost his sense of humour at welcoming guests. I have been a member 10 years ago for many years and never missed to visit the place. every time I'm around the area with my friends never have coz any kind such of trouble. Until 23,04,22 we arrived happy and excited to spent some time inside spent some Dollars to the machine and say hello to some old friends. but they didn't let us inn! just because they think we are drunk! So disappointed!

The new Chinese restaurant Serein in the Petersham RSL opened this week and the food is phenomenally and well priced. Everything was delicious, especially the Yuzu Chicken! Also the pork and prawn wontons, duck pancakes and Xiao long bao were sensational! Service was fabulous, Harry our superstar waiter was also great. Highly recommend- look forward to yum cha opening there soon!

An older gentleman with red hair who is security at reception is absolutely rude to my relative and I everytime we sign in. He is always very cold with us and isn't very welcoming. Doesn't greet us with a smile. I've had enough of his rudeness.

Bistro is over priced big time! Steak was not cooked to order. Staff were great. Thank you to Michael who pretty much manned the bar himself. The duty manager with white hair seemed to walk around shouting at the staff and doing not much else. Jump behind the bar and serve!!!

Updated Review: Dai Romani Exceptional customer service and an overall lovely team. I highly recommend trying the chicken boscaiola dish and the bruschetta. I’m keen to try more dishes from their menu. Serein The new Chinese restaurant is very nicely styled and the staff are quite friendly. It’s a very comfortable ambience. The Mongolian lamb was my favourite dish and the duck fried rice was tasty too. For a more seamless experience it would be better if we could order directly with the waiter as opposed to filling out the sheet of paper, as this was a dinner session. The Olive Bistro They have a great selection of hearty meals. The portions are very generous and reasonably priced. Comfy seating and pretty decor. The staff are friendly too. Note: at times there is some inconsistency in the quality of meals. The chicken burger and schnitzel is always made quite well but the Paris mash, seafood pasta dish and arancini wasn’t as great as the first time round.

Imagine not having a parmi as an option, veggie sides instead of salad and no pepper, mushroom or Diane sauce. More like gods waiting room for the local pensioners. Utterly disappointed. Pints of thooyes old are competitively priced but so is buying three long necks from the bottle-o.

Don’t bother going I went their today I could not get proper directions to a car park as the receptionist told me she does not live in the area, if you work in the area you should know where the nearest car park facility is so people can attend this venue. If then found a car space went they have no bistro and their coffee shop only sold some sandwiches that looked old. I was then told that the club is relocating closer to the station big deal

Went there for Xmas lunch...refurbished building in August so still quite new feel..3 course set menu $100..starter/main/dessert .2 course for $70..it's expensive and food wasnt great...noisy atmosphere for alot of old people.. with 1 man band in the background.Never again.

Very nice experience for our first ever visit to Petersham RSL. Everything easy and satisfactory. Staff greetings, parking, food quality, ambience. An enjoyable venue for dinner out with the family.

Its a lovely quiet place to enjoy either a beer or a freshly squeezed glass of orange juice. Then maybe after watching the band play for a little while, you can go and play on the pokies and maybe you'll win something extra for your wallet to take home.

No greeting upon arrival and staff member remained seated, so lost a star. They have Reschs on tap, so that's always great. Unfortunately no TAB terminals, so forced to use app on phone. Doesn't bother me, but did plenty of other blokes.

Rodney and his daughter managed all our guests we had a great time and the band playing was awesome. 5 stars for service, ambiance, food and affordability!

I am a member here and usually come to play the poker event at the NPL. I was stopped by an unfriendly security guard who did not let me in because I was intoxicated and he saw it 'in my eyes'. After explaining I am driving and even got pulled over for an RBT and was under the limit, he let me know that did not matter if I can drive I was too intoxicated to enter the premises by his judgment. When I asked for his name he covered his ID badge and gave me a false name and when asked to speak to someone else he refused. I am now going to cancel my membership here and be playing at a different venue.

Good food, good choice of drinks and great live music and free parking for members. Always room for new members at $5 per year which is recouped on the first visit with membership discounts.

Had Xmas lunch there, dreadful, one selection of meat ham only cranberry sauce raw brocaly, and 🥔 patatoes, service was good though, been going to the old club for Xmas lunch for years, no sports bar in the new one either, should not have pulled the old one down, it was much much better, Michael

Nice Club! Food was super delicious - compliments to the chef/s & the lady that took our order. Shayla was so helpful & friendly we signed up with her. The older man also standing at the front desk chose to ignore me instead of signing me in or explaining what I need to do as my mother & I were new & were there to have lunch for her b'day. The older man eventuated upstairs doing his rounds in a glow vest greeting & checking on people that they were ok.... but not to my mother & I, he ignored us as he walked right by our table. His nature, body language, persona, attitude & arrogance was appalling for someone in customer service & we did not feel welcomed as he paraded himself around the club like he was someone of importance. It's a shame to have a worker in customer service like that bringing the place down to negative effects. Thank God ALL the other staff were lovely, friendly, helpful & professional... had this not been the case I would have taken my mother elsewhere !!! I had sweet & sour pork yum-O & my mum had the house soup, we enjoyed it immensely... both dishes cooked superbly x.

Was pleasantly surprised that moscato was on the menu! Certainly made my night as I had a hankering for it. The garlic bread needed more garlic but the butter and crunch factor was great. Really friendly staff and nice interior.

Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Schnitzel night was good. Here's hoping they bring back Monday night bingo! Lol. Recommended.

Lovely staff. Unfortunately the restaurant closed due to staff shortages over COVID and never reopened. Unappealing selection of pre-packaged sandwiches and salads. If you just want a quiet beer and cash through the slot machines this is your place. Otherwise, move along.

Lovely modern premises with very friendly staff. Had lunch at in the new Italian restaurant. Amazing food! Awesome garlic bread, fresh pasta and seafood and excellent veal. Highly recommended.

Attended an event at Petersham RSL. The food was absolutely delicious for lunch.
