Rudest experience I've ever had. We went in for a drink tonight, waited at the bar for about 10 minutes while the bar tender with black hair and a really foul mouth was speaking to some other customers. Not actually making drinks but just having a chit chat. Normally I would say this if fine as good bar tenders often want to speak to their patrons but in this case she was pretty much just having a yarn with her friends. She eventually finished up talking to her friends and then proceeded to stand right in front of us at the bar and scroll her phone. Not even looking up to acknowledge us, this went on for a very awkward 2-3 minutes while she was very intentionally trying imply something by her actions. I guess we must not have been the type of customer they wanted in there. If I could give zero stars, I would have.

I’ve been to this venue a number of times and each and every time I’ve been greeted with a smile, and felt very welcome. All the staff are super friendly and really know their stuff- I asked for a cocktail recommendation and wasn’t disappointed! Not only this, the bar has a great vibe and always has the tunes pumping! If you’re looking for a place to start, or even finish, your night then I recommend heading in for a drink!

Hands down, the worst experience I have ever had in a bar! Bartender clearly more interested in chatting with mates, made us feel very uncomfortable (I guess we weren't dressed in cool Newtown vibes?), and eventually just ended up treating us like garbage (Seemed to really hate us for being guys) to the point we left. A massive thank you to the lovely lady who is making drinks at the secret garden bar. Everytime we visit you always have a smile on your face and is always so vibrant. We like the vibe of the bar and appreciate the suggestions of cocktails when we come in. Thanks for a good night and great tunes when we rock in !

This is a tiny bar but the real selling point is the staff who are so welcoming and engage in entertaining conversation. The two tables out on the street are a nice spot to people watch and the drink prices are great value. There’s only a single toilet inside but for the social aspect it’s one of my favourites on the street!

Walked in and we were immediately welcomed by our lovely server Ruth. Drinks were perfect. myself and our party of three had great conversation, the space was comfortable and welcoming. All around a 100% treat and Enmore’s number 1 hidden gem

Always my #1 spot to hit up on my breaks. The staff are so wonderful and accommodating, especially Ruth, who is an incredible hostess and is so attentive.

The manager was blatantly rude, first time there as well so want a nice introduction. Not only are staff uninviting the vibe of the area is off and drinks expensive. Don't bother coming here

You would think that staff at an establishment in such a busy area would be up to date on current forms of ID accepted. I am almost 30 and was not allowed in for a drink because the lady “couldn’t accept” my keypass which is literally listed as a valid form of ID on the NSW government liquor and gaming website. Embarrassing really.

Cute venue, close to Enmore Theatre. Service was average. They ran out of wine glasses and poured my wine into a whiskey glass via a measuring cup

Very rude member of staff whom is unaware of ack of space at the bar. Also had a stab at my accent, claiming the inability to understand me. I only lasted 3 minutes here before walking out in disgust. Shame, as it was recommended by a friend. Maybe the barman was having a bad night?

Exceptional service from Ruth, Jacqui and Marina. Great cocktail experience, and staff are friendly and hospitable. Definitely my favourite go-to bar for a good time.

Expensive small bar, $9 for a 250ml can of cider. It's right next to the Enmore theatre which is nice if you're going to a show. Relaxed friendly service. Not too much atmosphere although I'm not a regular so might have more appeal when you get the timing right.
