Lovely old building. the timber work in the ceiling/roof is next level carpentry. Beer prices were almost as steep as the roof pitch $14 a pint. Loads of seating and staff were ok to good. Definitely worth popping in for a pint just to see the building.

Nice pub. The staff are a bit sour. Took ages to get a drink and there were 4 customers at the bar, 3 serving or chatting, couldn't tell which they were employed to do.

Highly recommend the BBQ pork Saigon burger. Best burger I've had in a long time. Super juicy pork, tangy coleslaw and a lovely sweet umami sauce. Delish. Nice setting, looks like an old church though I think it might be an old school. Nice and warm even outside due to heaters.

Fantastic joint in North Sydney... Right above the Greenwood plaza. Best place to chill after your regular work day, great selection of beers, and nibbles. A pretty big joint got like two massive indoor sections and two outdoor sections.

This pub has a great atmosphere. The two beer gardens are large. You’ll love the big screen TV in the main beer garden. Food is great. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The pub is located across the road from the North Sydney train station - there’s a handy escalator that can transport you into the shopping centre which links to the train station.

Simply the best place to be when looking for a drink and tasty food. Ordered the Wagyu Royale Burger with some beers. The burger was perfect, juicy meat patty with shoestring fries. Great location, good views, ample seating inside and out, with friendly staff and fast service and one of the most popular places to visit for many workers for lunch, dinner, and drinks. Overall great experience with plenty of drink options with tasty and delicious food.

David the venue manager is the most unprofessional manager i’ve come across. After numerous calls and emails to him, he has straight out ignored all of them. I had an issue that I needed to discuss regarding contact on the venue. It remains unresolved due to David not wanting to get back to me. He’s not an asset to this company but instead brings the company and venue down and I hope that he will be replaced. I encourage anybody who has had issues with him to come forward and lodge a complaint. I’ll be lodging a formal complaint to the relevant authority as well. Also the security they hire for events is very discriminatory, rude, unprofessional including the rsa marshal and don’t hold proper licenses (one was working without a license the day we attended) and have been reported. We will no longer be holding corporate events, birthday parties, dining or drinking at the venue thanks to David’s manner and unprofessionalism.

They completely over sold the tickets for the event! Too many people in there and you couldn't move, let alone dance or try and get to the toilets! Then they were kicking people out for no reason, because they over sold it! Also, the sound system is awful! Some of my favourite DJs were on and because of the system, you couldn't even hear the music properly?! Probably won't be going back here to be honest

Great spot for a work lunch! The food is delicious and the atmosphere lovely!! I would like to order via mobile from the table rather than queuing at the bar if possible one day

It’s busy! It’s pricey! Bar staff act like they don’t want to be there! In short, it’s like every other big pub in Sydney. There are two large outdoor sitting areas, back and front. Expect big crowds during happy hour but don’t expect to score since they’re all office people who work nearby. Good location, right next to the train station so you don’t have time to think about your poor life choices on the way home. At the bar, don’t ask for anything more complicated than spirits & mixer because they can’t or won’t do it. Food is nice but for the kind of welcome you get, I’d spend my money elsewhere.

Atmosphere is nice but it's just your standard upmarket pub. Beer is the standard big brand varieties. No craft. Service is speedy. Its ok.

Lovely airy and light filled venue which is great in the summer. Food is solid without blowing you away but you won't go wrong either. Good quality pub grub and great selection of beers for you as well. One of the best pubs in North Sydney in my opinion

Won't let you in unless your vaxxed, that's discrimination no matter which way you look at it. End of, period done & dusted, won't be going back there ever again.

Went to this hotel last week. It was rainy on that day so couldn’t able to sit outside. Since it is bit congested due to rain. Service is good. Different types of beer and wine served here. They are serving stuff like pizza , fish . Chicken and pork. Overall we had good time here along with buddies. Did not take inside photos due to huge crowd and not to disturb their private life.

Venue and ambience was perfect. Mocktail was pretty and delicate. $26.00 Schnitzel was huge, I could only eat half of it. It tasted a bit strange and bland. I sense it was not a chicken breast, but something mass produced. I kept sniffing it, as I was a bit worried about food poisoning, but can confirm I was fine. For $26.00 it was disappointing. I would have been happy with half the size, and good quality chicken breast meat.

My husband and I hosted a party at Greenwood last week and it was so much fun!! We hired out The Chapel room, had a live band and our own private bar with about 90 guests. The staff were amazing (special thanks to the staff that helped set up a TV in the back so I could play a slideshow), the food was delicious and everyone had the best time. Thanks again to Mel for helping to plan it. I couldn't recommend this venue enough for parties, 11/10!!

It is not about the hotel. It's about the party on Sunday by day Sash not the best techno music but the best vibes and environment

Perform place for a party. Great drinks selection and friendly staff. Only negative is that when catering for a party they serve people and then take the platters away instead of leaving the rest of the food with the group.

  • 4/5 Robert M. 3 years ago on Google
Not a bad place to get lunch for a group. Food is nothing amazing (I had the steak which was a bit undercooked for medium, and head a lot of fat) especially for the price, but does the job. Service is good and it's a great setting. The safety precautions at the moment are pretty solid for the current climate with scanning on entry. Menus are only presented in phone scan format which is a bit annoying (honestly it could be on a wall poster and that'll still be socially aware) but a small inconvenience really. Love the old building, and there's good space inside and out and a handy location to the train or buses.

One of the best venues. It just would have been nice if vodka red bull’s weren’t $18 and there was even a sign saying they were $15, but the staff said those are prices for every other day. Gouging at its finest.

Good pub in NS. A little bit on the $$$ but that's par for the course around here. Happy hour is good. Had $7 beers from 4-6pm. Can get busy so if you're in a group might be best to book ahead. They also have fire pits you can request.

  • 4/5 David S. 4 months ago on Google
Great venue, convenient location. I go to events there quite often and the staff and security are great, so if U r looking for a place to hold an event, I highly recommend. I'm not sure what their drink prices r like on a regular day but I pay about $9.15 for a reb bull during an event, which is outrageous considering it's alcohol free! Aside from that it'd be 5 stars but they're lucky they got 4 at those prices.

I had a pleasant experience at the Greenwood Hotel in North Sydney last Monday. It was a super easy walk up from the station. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, making it perfect for a casual get-together. Although the food menu wasn't extensive, the dishes we ordered were delicious and satisfying. The men's cubicles were a bit hard to locate but the staff were friendly and very helpful. Overall, the Greenwood Hotel provided a cozy and enjoyable evening, perfect for low-key gatherings

Greenwood Plaza Pub in North Sydney is an absolute gem! Its convenient location makes it a top choice for work lunches. The food is incredibly tasty, and the prices are on par with other pubs, making it an excellent value. The service is outstanding, and with plenty of seating options, it's never a struggle to find a spot. The open layout and outdoor seating area add to the overall ambiance, and the provided outdoor heating ensures comfort even in chilly weather. Being situated in a busy location adds to the vibrant atmosphere, making it a delightful spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy delicious meals with friends or colleagues. Highly recommended!

Nice ambience for weekend drinks with friends. The place was bustling with people when I was there on a Friday night. Staff were really friendly and nice. Music could have been a little softer for people in the dining area and outside so that we could hear each other in conversation. Food and drinks otherwise reasonably priced.

Very nice place to go on Friday after work. However, if you go there on Saturday, you will get very noisy dance floors even at 6pm, and a bunch of school kids. Unless you are a cougar, not good on Saturday.

It is really annoying that I had to run around because the indoor bar was short of a drink, and then asked me to re-order it outside, waiting for almost 15 minutes!!! The bar staff are not very busy why you can’t get go to pick up the new bottle of spirits? Rather than ask customer to pick up? And The steak was terrible burnt! Terrible!

One of the best in North Sydney for if you are looking for drinks and a bite. Great location and awesome views. Has ample seating inside and out. Staff are always very friendly and the service is fast. Very popular spot.

I was visiting Sydney with a close friend of mine and as we were staying in North Sydney - we wanted to pass by and have some drinks on Sunday afternoon. The place was pretty packed and there was a good DJ. As anywhere in Australia, alcohol was being consumed excessively yet the vibes were good. While we were dancing, one of the security guards approached me and asked me to leave the venue. I was pretty surprised and I requested a reason why I am being asked to leave the place. I was told that I was intoxicated. I did reply to the gentleman named Chris that everybody in this venue are intoxicated however I was shown the door with physical arm force. After some useless conversation, we were put on the door. I asked permission to talk the security manager but I denied access. Security Guard Chris was obviously pretty racist and did have no clue about my level of alcohol... I dont recommend anyone to visit this place as it has a racist stance and dont seem to educate their security team on good manners. Try somewhere else... Aussies are very kind and welcoming - this place is not.

It’s pretty much ‘Green Wood’ in the famously dull and boring North Sydney. Good Wagyu burger, quality French fries and cold beers, what else do you need? Greenwood hotel is the survivor and it has been around for a while. Probably same as the roast pork Chinese takeaway joint nearby. It’s pretty much an Oasis in North Sydney, and when you’re thirsty it’s a good place to dive in for some coldies For these reasons I give this place 3 bears

  • 3/5 Marc B. 1 year ago on Google
I went to an event at this pub. The event was poorly organised. But the Greenwood Hotel is very lovely. I love the high ceilings and the old look. My mum ordered a Wagyu burger and the meat was raw not sure if that's how they meant to cook it but it wasn't nice. The location of this place is really good as the train station is right across the street. I'd like to visit this place in summer as the outside area is gorgeous.

Outdoorsy pub+bistro on the rooftop of Greenwood Plaza. It's a great place to have a lunch for a catch up or even for a big group. Tuna tataki salad was amazingly refreshing and filling. If you like sashimi style fish, try this. We also had meatball pizza which was nice but disappointing in regards to how much (or lack of) "meat balls" were topped. On a day with a good weather, this is a fantastic place to spend time.

Love their menu. It’s so fresh and the prices are decent. However I do think they need to revise their service order. It makes no sense to me why I have to go pick up my order after going to order it as well. Like is this McDonald’s?

Excellent food and convenient location. Lovely building, with lots of seating areas. Staff can be a little in the brusque side on occasion. It would be nice if they did jugs of cocktails, share platters for lunch as well as after 3pm, and offered Fever Tree tonic, or at least something that isn't post mix as post mix tonic is deplorable and ruins a nice drink. Good selection of wines.
