Love their coffee, their friendly and warm service, and especially their Buddha Bowl! Will visit this cafe again.

Great coffee, food and service!

My go to for really good t/a coffee with super friendly staff. Good range of food to grab on the go whilst you’re in a hurry on the way to work. I’ve never had to wait long and they always have enough people serving to deal with the hoards of tradies that come for the bacon and egg takeaway options.

A couple of weeks back my mum got me a toastie from here when I was home sick it cost 11/12 dollars they didn’t even cut it, and one of the slices of bread was a tiny end piece of a loaf. It seemed like they put absolutely no effort at all, cutting a toastie is the bare minimum ! Anyway hopefully I can have a more positive experience next time

Undoubtedly the best coffee in Petersham. Period. Consistent, good coffee, every time. Super friendly staff and open early. Great selection of pastries and cakes and a good menu with lots to chose from from brunch to lunch. This has a great community vibe to it and it's easy to see why they're a favourite among locals. Absolutely recommend coming here, again and again.

Probably the busiest cafe in Petersham, but for good reason! Service is fast, staff are always friendly, and coffee is great.

Lovely place with adorable service. The coffee was alright, and my waffle sandwich was way too sweet, but the chicken pate was fantastic. Will come again.

Instant fan, the mushroom toastie was amazing and the coffee - one of the best I've ever had. To top it off, friendly service and a steady stream of regulars that come back to this cafe and with good reason.

Coffee tastes like cigarette ashes.Beans must have been over-roasted, and that tiny toast should be on the bin not on the plate.

I love the chicken sandwich, which I often order for breakfast - it's healthy and filling and a great start to the day. The ham and cheese croissants are also a treat and are beautifully toasted. Makes my morning much more pleasant! Thanks guys :)

Awesome food, and great customer service. I had the smashed avo with poached eggs and bacon. Awesome combination of flavours! Nice flat white to top it off.

A super chill spot! It’s great to see that they’re always busy and I don’t mind the wait. One of the top five coffees in the area. I’ve only had a brief breakfast there, but was happy with it overall. It also helps that the staff are super friendly. A lot of cafes are hit and miss, but The Counter is always consistent.
