Pepito's Marrickville

Restaurant

👍 Loved the chicken hearts, the flavour was amazing! The mussels lacked a bit of acidity, but fresh. The fried rice was very tasty but not sure if the rice, meat and noodles worked well together. A bit pricey overall, but the experience was fun. People often mention menu, delicious, great, good, service, cocktails, amazing, staff, friendly, experience,

WHAT THE DUCK... Great night at Pepito's. Tess and I walked in after getting a nod from the bartender through the window. Pepito's is a warm and welcoming restaurant. The wait staff were amazing and the food was delicious. The band started around 9pm and totally completed the night! Wish we could've stayed the whole night. Some diners dressed up but most dressed casual. Felt like home 🏡 Fantastic all around.

I had such a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The vibe was amazing, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. The food was exceptional, especially the skewers which were absolutely delicious - definitely a must-try! The staff members were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I accidentally broke one of their plates, but they were so understanding and didn't charge me for it. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for a great dining experience!

I'm Peruvian - the food is REALLY delicious and takes you back there. For Peruvians: arrive with the mindset of expensive gourmet portions. Try the fish anticuchos. Quite original and delicious version of causa too. The sandwiches are probably the best deal if you're hungry.

The food was quite good but way too expensive for the amount of food you received. There were delicious flavours but $25 for a single slider that tasted the same as most good burger joints was ridiculous. Same for the drinks. Yes cocktails are expensive but $22 for 3 mouthfuls or $16 for a glass of house red is a bit of a joke.

So we heard they had “aeropuerto” a Peruvian Chinese fashion dish that is best described as Chinese noodles + fried rice + fried wonton all in one. Their interpretation and adaptation for the Australian market is spot on . Elegantly presented with prawns and pork it was so good we order a second one. A must try of their new menu

The service is very friendly. Place has a good vibe. The menu is limited, but food is tasty and mostly has a sour kick. This is the same with the cocktails. Was surprised by their milk desert which doesn't sound appealing but ended up being my favourite dish. The portions r a bit small. Maybe order the entire menu to share if u r a big eater.

Very much enjoyed my visit there. I liked the starters and cocktails. Mains could be better but good enough. The staff was really helpful and definitely would recommend

Stopped here for an early dinner on our way to the airport. The duck we had for the main course was beautiful. It was incredibly tender and fell straight off the bone, and the rice underneath was a really nice accompaniment. The service was wonderful as well, and we had the whole place to ourself because we arrived so early! Thank you for a wonderful meal before heading in to 20 hours of plane/airport food 😄

Overrated. The food was average. The menu is very limited. The fish was over-seasoned with lime with nothing to cut through the acidity. The ox heart was topped with a massive pile of tart, vinegary pickled onions. It felt like an afterthought, and it just didn't work. Not much imagination or creativity here and everything we ate lacked balance.

Our first visit was just before the last Sydney lockdown and we were sorry to leave the return visit so long! Pepito’s is excellent. Great service, tasty food and delicious cocktails. Can’t go past a pisco sour. We basically ordered one of everything on the menu and shared. Except for the tigre leche- we needed to get 2 of those as they are a taste sensation. Definitely won’t leave it another year to return.

If you're looking for food that's different to the usual south American food offering, that has a great vibe, is intimate and cool (without being try hard). This is the place! We had 4 dishes. Every one was different in flavour. Each one a welcome surprise. The mussel and octopus were something else. Nothing was hot spicy but it was spiced, really balanced and beautiful bright flavours. The Fried fish Sliders were great and the Pisco cocktails were something we'd never experienced before. The staff were super friendly and happy to answer questions. It's great place for a date. The menu had a good mix of meat and fish and its set up for sharing. We'll defo go again.

Really cozy vibe, nice decoration. I love the service here, confidient, friendly and attentive. The food, to be honest, not bad but not enough to be good. The cocktail was good.

What a fun vibe! Super friendly attentive service, delicious & fresh food, very reasonable prices. This place has so much character, you’ll have a great night just by hanging out here. Looking forward to our next visit!

What a great addition to Marrickville’s evolving dining scene. It’s intimate and has a lovely atmosphere with fabulous food and cocktails to match. I’ve been here twice over the last two years and each experience makes me want to come back for more. The service is always attentive and friendly. Highlights were the Causa de Camarones, Leche de Tigre and the Sanguches. The chicken and quail are also delicious as was everything else!

Well what can I say, it was the first time and definitely not the last, the experience from the time I stepped in the door until I left was amazing. The cocktails were great as was the food and it was all topped off by the service, music and atmosphere.

Fresh, balanced and bold classically Peruvian flavours. A restaurant where you take the first bite of a dish and immediately start to plan your return.

for drinks we had the punch and the chilcano, both were incredible. pineapple flavour was strong in the punch. we had 3 lots of skewers, the potatoes and calamari. the quail skewers were so tender and juicy, honestly amazing. the lime aioli with the calamari, and honestly all the side sauces, were nice and tangy, really intense flavours. this place is pricey but the food is so good! service and staff were really great too :)

Went to Pepitos on a Wednesday night - so much fun! They had a Spanish rock band playing all the classics, everyone was up dancing and singing. I felt like I was 21 again. Food is delicious, and the pisco sour 👌 can't wait to go back again.

Loved this place. The Peruvian based menu was made from super fresh ingredients and also felt healthy. Delicious prawns in a Ceviche style and crunchy tasty calamari. The deep fried pork or "Chicarron" sliders were sublime. Drinks menu a little limited and small but still easy to pick some good wines and Tall boy size beer bottles. The decor is fresh and wonderfully captures some of the buildings past trading history. Service was friendly and efficient and knowledgeable in both food and drink.

What an awesome local Taberna! Had my first taste of Pepito's this weekend and I wasn't disappointed. Our food was super delicious, zesty and fresh. Cocktails were great and our wine was a perfect match for our menu selects. Service was stellar and we loved the decor and atmosphere. What more could you ask for. Can't wait to get back in again :)

Absolutely amazing! This unassuming little place really packs the flavor into every dish. The menu and descriptions absolutely don’t do the food justice so do yourself a favor: skip the Google menu search and just get your butt in there, and take some dish-recommendations from staff…. you absolutely won’t be disappointed. I did this and ended up trying things I wouldn’t normally try if I was just to go off the menu, and almost died and went to heaven - bloody delicious!!!!

Sydney is in lockdown so we ordered Pepito's and tried to plate up at home 😊. The food was delicious. The Ceviche was tangy and tasty. The sliders were great also! We will definitely visit the restaurant once we are out of lockdown!

Interesting space, excellent staff and service with extensive knowledge of the menu. Peruvian fusion with a Japanese influence. Interesting menu, however on the pricey side considering the portion size.

👍 Best restaurant for South Indian dishes. Worth a try of Biryani. Tried Tandoori Soya today and it was the best I ever had here. Egg65 Biryani was so tasty. Crispy Baby corn was bad seemed like it was not fresh. You should not let your standards drop.
