Close to the airport with 5min+ drive by uber. Checkin and service was nice and quick. Stayed on the third floor and was happy there were lifts as we had luggage. Room was clean but small, bathroom was very tiny but manageable. Lighting was very dim, not what we expected but somewhat moody though. Not much natural light comes through the window. King Bed was 2 singles pushed together, it was comfortable for the one night stay. Hallway to rooms were very dim, paint was needed on the walls, reminded us of a moment in a hostel horror movie. Rooms seemed renovated to at minimal cost. Elevator was rickety and very slow. Overall not bad for an overnight stay, nothing more, but could find something a little nicer for the price or suggest to pay more for comfort.

We checked in and checked right back out. We were in the building not where the lobby was… the halls were dirty… and while the photos matched as the beds space was new there was a lot it did not show! Ac not working, stains on walls and furniture. It looks like maybe they are in the process of turning it around as the room carpet and art was new. The one star is for the staff who handled the situation the best they could.

the artwork on the walls needs an update, the lift felt like it might stop working at any time, the waiting area was okay, the rooms felt old and in need of a more in-depth clean. The bathroom and shower were a bit claustrophobic. The tea/coffee only had one of each flavour: so hopefully you and your partner do not like the same one or you won't have enough for both days... there is a parking fee and street parking around is limited... this hotel is better for business travellers than for vacationers.

After 2 long international flights, and looking forward to s comfy overnight, this was not what I expected for the price. I wonder how they got their rating, it is really just a motel with tiny rooms and even tinier bathrooms. Very disappointed, not value for money at all😩

I picked this hotel because I needed to stay near the airport for a night. They provide a hotel shuttle service for $13 per person, but it's shared with other hotels and CKS is the last stop, so expect the journey to take more than 15 minutes. If there is more than one person travelling, it would likely be cheaper to get an Uber. The rooms are basic but clean, and very wheelchair friendly. My main issue was being woken up by housekeeping before 8.30am when I was only staying for one night. Why would they come to clean the room before I've checked out? There are no cafes or restaurants on site, but it's only a three minute walk to the nearby Novotel which has a coffee shop and restaurant. The CKS was the cheapest of the group of nearby hotels, so if you're just planning on sleeping there for one night then it's a good option. Just remember to hang your do not disturb sign!

Stayed Sept 2023 & What a waste of money staying here. It states it is a self-rated 4 star accomodating, well I would give it 1-2 stars max. Our bathroom was dirty, mould in shower, previous persons hair in shower and also on the hand basin. Dirty mugs and spoons, have not been cleans since last persons stay. Went to breakfast, waste of time and money. Was no milk for my mum to have on cereal as she is lactose free, no soy milk, almond but had expired and was found off in the fridge, yoghurts tried 3 and they were off, a lack choice, the hot food was cold, not cooked properly. Only 1 kitchen staff, which is not good enough when you have a dinning room full of people needing to have breakfast before checking out for their flights. Floors filthy in dinning room, cutlery, plates and mugs also not clean and had to then wait to for them to be washed up and put through the dishwasher. Went to ask a staff member only person was in the kitchen so knocked on door and looked through gap and through small window extremely poor OHS standards being used in kitchen, food prep area had boxes, dirty dishes on the same bench and near food urgently trying to be prepared as there was nothing out for guests. Extremely concerning and will be reporting t this to appropriate government depts for further investigation.

Comfortable beds, room smelt a bit damp and musty. The shower was hot with great pressure. The staff weren't rude, but they certainly weren't welcoming either. Wifi signal did not reach my room. Windows don't block out much outside noise and the walls are paper thin. Location is very convenient to the airport, short walk to the international terminal

A group of 6 made a last minute booking after our plane was cancelled. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they even served us a couple of beers after the bar closed. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. They even booked the airport shuttle bus for the next morning. I would highly recommend them.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It’s not fancy but it’s clean, comfortable and the staff were over the top. I had a positive COVID test prior to my flight home to the US but I was asymptomatic. I had to discover what I needed to do on my own since Qantas would not help me and made me leave the airport immediately. Without any friends or family in Australia, I felt really abandoned. I called around to find a hotel to take me and was declined by several. Theo at CKS said sure, we can help you. They set me up in a nice room, brought me a huge shopping bag of food from the breakfast buffet every morning, made sure I had plenty of tea, water, towels and toiletries. They were my guardian angels. All I could think about was the following: Matthew 25:35-40 New International Version 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,(A) 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me,(B) I was sick and you looked after me,(C) I was in prison and you came to visit me.’(D) They helped me and cared for me when no one else bothered. I was on the phone for hours every day of my isolation trying to coordinate what I needed to do to get home. I received so much conflicting information that I was brought to tears. I didn’t have to worry about being in a safe, warm place or getting food because these people had my back. Thank you from the deepest part of my soul.

Room was much smaller than photos on the website. Nice enough but not what we thought we were getting. Didn't have any hand towels and bathroom was also very small. Lift didn't work well and can only go down the stairs not up. Breakfast was lovely with a variety of hot and cold foods and the staff were all very nice. Would stay again with confirmation of what room we were getting.

We chose this hotel as it was close to the international airport and we had an early departure in the morning. 24 hour reception with reasonable priced supplies. Noisy, lights on outside that made it hard to sleep. Rubbish laying around. Did not feel safe. Would not recommend.

By far the worst hotel in Sydney and worldwide. Been to hotels globally and this shouldn't be called a hotel. Service was lazy & reluctant. Rooms were old dingy and mattresses were like soft sponges. Shower heads leaked all night, noise from adjacent rooms was unbelievable, until 1am and we had to get up at 5am. Asked staff to speak to the guests, but they did once and then said there was no more they could do. Breakfast was pitiful, bread was stale and no staff around to ask for more bread. Guests smoking in hall ways and we couldn't lock the door, luckily they were able to fix it. Research carefully as there are way better options out there, this place was awful and overpriced.

Mixed feelings about it, After a massive day, super tired, we arrive in the bedroom, someone took a big dump in the toilet with skid marks. They changed our room, was nice. Cleanliness was average. Massive stain on a chair, looked gross. I asked a receipt found out they charged 3 dollars surcharge for a credit card ( it was master card, didn't use credit.) Breakfast was good with lot of choices. Price was outrageous for the service 228 aud. Add 20 for a trip to airport and 20 to park the car inside the hotel. That s ridiculous.

Great location for getting to the airport quickly. Very clean and up to date rooms. Only disadvantage was there was no elevator but they offered to help us get our luggage up the stairs.

Basically stole my money. Took a booking, no availability and kept the “booking fee”. I got quite agitated so they sent out their muscle. Big fella with not much brains. Told me to get out before they called the police. I took my daughter, who was in tears, across to the Novotel, who also didn’t have a room, but bent over backwards to help me, especially after what they heard about their neighbours. Shame on on this hotel. Disgusting place of business

Being an airport hotel, I didn’t expect much. Was in a bit of a surprise of how good the rooms are for the price. Had a great time staying here the night before an early flight and had everything needed for a very comfortable overnight stay this winter. Although the exterior was dated, bathroom is small and you can feel the beds joined together in the middle, it is still extremely fairly priced for what you get at this location. Staff were nice, it was quiet and TVs have Netflix and the rooms were very clean and slightly updated. Free Wifi started slowing down but didn’t hinder me from working remotely. I’ve been to a fair few high end and low end hotels all over Sydney and I’d stay here any day. Better than overpriced outdated airport hotels who charge for wifi like the Pullman. CKS was a big win for me for a comfortable clean accommodation for the night. Such good value!

Hotel was not perfect, but provided everything we needed for a stay the night before our morning departure from the international terminal. The rooms are very small. We booked a room with a king bed, but I think the queen rooms are probably better as I think the rooms are the same size and there would be more space around the bed in a queen room. The bathroom was also extremely compact. Breakfast was pretty reasonable. The internet did not work on the wifi in our room even though the signal strength was good - I think there must be a problem with their system as we could not get internet on any of our devices in our room although they connected just fine in the restaurant).

Room looked nice for a 3 star however there was an old air conditioner in the wall that let in the cold wind and the air con that worked struggled to offset the cold at Max heat. Bed was rock hard, walls paper thin, heard noises throughout the night and people talking. Bad nights sleep. Don't recommend.

Staff are exceptionally efficient, caring and a wealth of knowledge. They assisted with all my queries and made me feel welcome and comfortable under difficult circumstances. Rooms have been renovated but are still a little small.

  • 1/5 Kevin M. 1 year ago on Google
When a room is essentially a bed you would expect that to be acceptable. The king beds are two adjoining singles which usually is fine, however these have sides so firm you cannot use the middle of the bed. Our bed also had a dangerous broken spring penetrating the mattress on one side. After asking for a different bed because of these issues we were moved to another room with the same issue that instead had two springs protruding. When trying to resolve this situation for a second time the receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful, and also refused to put me in contact with the manager of the hotel. Another move was promised but not provided. I will be pursuing this with fair trading.

This is quite a nice place to stay before an international flight. The beds are really comfy and there is a wide selection of both fresh and cooked food.

Location is good for those that need the airport. But if your someone who works online don't book here - the wifi is terrible and when I asked for assistance I didn't hear anything back. Poor service. Have to pay to park in an outside car park - over priced. I haven't even stayed one night and already looking else where

Price does not compare favourably with local hotels that are closer to the city/airport and far superior. The beds are awful! We booked a king - it was two saggy single beds pushed together with a big ridge down the middle. The undersheet didn't fit the bed properly either so was loose on top of the bed. The shower was tiny and old and barely clean, the toilet seat was falling off..... The place is very tatty and not that clean. I could go on! The reception staff were very nice and apologetic when I asked them for a room with a better bed but couldn't help me. They said they would tell the manager to call me, it's been a week with no contact so unfortunately that means they are getting a realistic review. For a shoddy set up it should be a budget price but it isn't. I won't stay there again.

Tidy and clean but Very overpriced for a small room with a tiny bathroom. No microwave , milk was frozen in the fridge. Pillows need to be replaced they are that big and cheap that you can’t actually sleep on them !!!! Way too high .

Stayed here for 3 weeks for work. Place has everything you need. Beds are comfy. I had a couple restless nights due to the storm banging the tin but what can ya do you can’t tame the weather. Front desk was really helpful and moved me to another room which was great. Food is very nice for room service. Only 1 hiccup on the time i wanted it delivered but we are only human everyone makes a mistake every now and then so no biggy. Breakfast a little expensive but I only had it each Sunday so didn’t bother me. Staff were really nice and accommodating. Surprisingly quiet so that’s a plus. Got provided with a microwave when asked and that was a game changer for someone staying a while. 10/10 would come back. Thanks team

I loved the place. From the moment you enter the hotel all staff is so nice and helpful. Rooms very clean, decent continental breakfast. I will recommend and definitely stay again next time I am in Sydney.

Great location. Great service. I checked in at 11pm and checked out at 5am. Had a great night's sleep before heading to the airport for my next flight.

  • 2/5 ANTHONY K. 2 years ago on Google
The Service was very good, location great and the rooms were set up well for the price point, my only concern and this is a very big concern was the mould that could be smelt from outside the rooms, my wife and I couldn't sleep because of this, we came home smelling of mould and feeling sick, this may be because of the recent weather events but until this is rectified I don't recommend anyone staying there just on health grounds alone, I hope this is fixed soon because otherwise it would be a very nice place to stay. Edit Since the stay I was fully refunded and apologised to, the recent flooding did cause the issues and they are in the process of sorting the situation out, which is only affecting a few rooms, unfortunately it was the one we stayed in, I would stay there again because the service is amazing.

Did the job and met expectations. The rooms were clean, staff were friendly, parking was good, that's all we needed. Buffet breakfast in the morning was terrible, don't waste your money for that. There's local cafe's with food nearby.

  • 1/5 Faisal M. 2 years ago on Google
It was not a hotel, seems and smelled like a hospital. they charged extra by saying that the price just increased over the night, while we already paid and booked the hotel through booking.com. Only the cleaners were trying their best to keep the customer happy, but other staff was so rude. Not recommended to anyone. You will ruin your whole trip.

Arrived here at 8:45pm after a canceled flight. Wasn’t sure based on the negative reviews but honestly the place is lovely! Clean, quiet and easy to get to. Staff were friendly and someone even helped carry by bag up to my room as I’m currently recovering from a training injury. Would happily stay again!

Stayed 1 night over the 15/12/23 weekend. Rooms were good for 2 people if staying 1 or 2 nights. Bathroom is extremely small and could be designed much more efficiently. Bed was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was horrible. Huge range but not very nice or fresh. Location is great! Not much information given on check in. Just a room card and sent on your way. Super sad to see because The hotel has so much potential. Would stay here again if travelling to the airport.

Our flight got cancelled and we ended up in this hotel. Surprisingly, this hotel was clean and we had a comfortable stay. Theo provided us the best and most memorable experience. He went above and beyond his duties. Always carries a great attitude despite skipping lunch to check in all of the stranded passengers from the cancelled flight. I do not think I would have rated this hotel a 5 star if it was not for Theo and the wonderful staff. The guy who carried our luggages to our room refused our tip. I feel the hotel is doing something right to have such wonderful employees. Thank you CKS team and please keep up the great work!

Avoid this place at all cost this was a last minute booking the receptionist didn’t even ask for my ID just went straight to payment and kept telling me I need my physical card got my partner to go get his card his card was damaged from the dryer then she kept telling me I needed a physical card then accepted my Apple Pay …… I know this is a 3 star hotel but it seemed more like a motel then a hotel to me. The room was ok the bed was horrible it was 2 single beds put together and usually with other places you can’t tell if they have 2 beds put together but at this hotel you can and it’s not even levelled and the traffic is very bad and the walls are as thin as paper and mind you I am a heavy sleeper ! And people banging the doors and you can hear everything! And to top it all off I got a 6 am wake up call what a joke ….. save yourself and go somewhere else!

I was happily surprised. I didn’t have high expectations, instead I thought that this would be a small budget hotel. But the room was nice and spacious. The room had a fridge, free WiFi and AC. Breakfast was very nice and the hotel bar had great offers. The only minus was that furniture was old. For example the sofa had a couple of holes. A small renovation would make rooms even better.

  • 1/5 Sebastian R. 1 year ago on Google
Close to the airport adds one star to my rating. Besides that: nice pictures online, but the reality is very different. Relatively new beds and storage, but the rest is run down and most of all my room was not clean. Stains on the sofa, the curtains, the floor and hair all over the shower and on top poop floating in the toilet. The breakfast could be ok, but again the cleanliness is low in the restaurant area. Not recommended. Not recommended.

While the hotel is a little old and obviously suffered a bit from the torrential rain here lately, the staff make up for any shortcomings. When I rang to find out which transport to use to get there from the airport (and that's never easy to figure at Syd) the person at reception gave simple accurate instructions. I had dinner here and the food was delicious and good portioned at a good price, and breakfast was excellent. Again really helpful and pleasant staff. The only thing that sucks is other guests who don't seem to realise that other people may be sleeping when they leave for early morning flights and can't seem to close a door quietly with their hands. God knows how they packed their bags

I was very pleased with this hotel. The front desk and other staff were all very friendly. The room was quite spacious and comfortable, looked so inviting. Shuttle service to and from the airport is available. Restaurant on site. Very near airport. I definitely got my money's worth and would highly recommend this hotel.

  • 5/5 Steve R. 1 year ago on Google
Had the breakfast buffet there and it was very good. I was impressed. They also have a free airport shuttle. Rooms are great. Not high end stay but huge value. Would stay here again and it is close to the airport. Free wifi. Friendly service.

  • 3/5 Ayan B. 1 year ago on Google
every service here has an additional cost. You take the shuttle to/from airport - you'd think it's free for this stature of a hotel, but it's not ! AU$13 each way ! Room service ? add AU$5 each time. And they don't mention it upfront. It's the "least expensive" among the ones close to the airport - but definitely not a value for money. Good things: staff is super nice and friendly. Rooms are standard good, quiet and comfy - has all amenities.

Reception staff both night and morning friendly and very professional. Room was clean and maintained. Bed and pillows comfortable. Breakfast was okay, scrabble eggs a little dry but everything else was good. Thank you

  • 4/5 Dean S. 10 months ago on Google
5 minute drive with on street parking plus dedicated parking also available. Friendly and helpful and welcoming staff. Room (king) was perfect for the layover stop. Bed mattress way too soft, sinks in too much, maybe just not my preference though. Else, great location for being a short drive from the airport so all good otherwise.

  • 4/5 Dimi D. 1 year ago on Google
It is a tiny room and clean. Exactly what we needed for an overnight stay before an international flight. The price was included breakfast which definitely will be appreciated by some people who need breakfast. We took the airport shuttle for $13 per person. I guess of you are with another person, you can always Uber it. But the bus driver was so sweet and helpful, though!

  • 5/5 Georgie W. 10 months ago on Google
We come to Sydney every year for a week and stay here - this hotel is perfect for us. It’s not the Ritz, but the rooms are large and well appointed, spotlessly clean, quiet and the beds are good. We’ve always been pleased with the service and the rates are excellent. But it’s the location which I love most. A quick bus or train ride into the CBD, close to the fantastic King St Newtown, a quick walk to the supermarket and dozens of cafes and restaurants, and opposite a great park for your morning walk. I totally recommend this hotel!

  • 4/5 Sarah N. 1 year ago on Google
Conveniently located in Wolli Creek and offers airport transfers for $10per person. Rooms are spacious and clean. Perfect for a stay before or after your trip.

  • 2/5 Trent R. 11 months ago on Google
The room was as pictured although when you arrive you realise that photos aren’t necessarily the whole reality but fine nonetheless. The reception staff were super lovely and friendly. Thin walls with neighbours either side was a bit noisy but manageable. Honestly the room was fine but the bed was terrible. I paid extra for a king bed which is just 2 single mattresses put together which is fine except the mattresses were so bad, the centre sagged while the edges remained hard and raised. Not ideal for a couple when there’s a raised mountain in the middle of the bed. The pillows were terrible, more like a flat air bag. We got maybe 5 hours sleep because it was so uncomfortable. I should have stuck with the queen bed option and been a lot more comfortable and saved $20 or so.

  • 5/5 Sten E. 11 months ago on Google
It's the cheapest and closest I could get to the international terminal, I only needed to catch a few hours sleep before an early flight. My room wasn't near the elevators, but I'd imagine the tiled floors would have bothered me a lot if I was. My suitcase rolled over them super loudly. Additionally, if you're a light sleeper, the constant water running in the toilet might bother you. I thought there was a leak when I entered the room, but no, just the cistern. Shower is super tiny but the bed was comfy and I got my sleep, so I have no bad words to say about it!

  • 2/5 j w R. 10 months ago on Google
The fan on the heater was so loud I couldn't sleep. Without the heater, it's freezing. There wasn't enough blankets, I even added the towels on to try keep me warm. The fridge was fairly old and loud too. Overall difficult to sleep. People at the front desk were nice though.

  • 5/5 Christine D. 11 months ago on Google
A 10min walk from Wolli train station and a very short walk to Rowers Club for a meal before our flight. The rooms were small, however plenty for one night. The rooms were clean and equipped with everything needed.

  • 2/5 Erica P. 1 year ago on Google
Room was not clean..stained carpet, dust. Wouldn't have touched the phone or remote if you paid me to. Drains in toilet slightly smelly. Push button on toilet broken. Bed clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and efficient.

  • 5/5 Giselle D. 8 months ago on Google
Super tiny room, but everything you need for the night before a flight. Nice stroll to the water from the hotel. Don't be fooled by the photos of food....they only do breakfast, not dinner or a bar
