Upon arriving to the hotel. An old Asian man kept interrogating what we are doing at the hotel, what room number we’re staying at and kept asking for information, not sure if he is the owner or works there but he had no uniform, Didn’t feel safe whatsoever. Going into the hotel room. The rooms weren’t cleaned. Blood stains all over the floor. Floor is all dirty under the beds they don’t vacuum. Other then a bed to sleep in.I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND FINDING SOMEWHERE ELSE. Goodluck all

Not bad, great price and location, nice and close to busses and trains, not much road/traffic noise despite being close to a highway. Good balcony area to hangout or smoke which we really enjoyed. Room service was terrible though. During the week we were there our room either didn’t get cleaned at all or was only partly cleaned. The floor was always dirty from the day we arrived to the day we left. Our towels rarely got replaced and sometimes they would leave us with some towels missing. They “cleaned” our dishes but left them filthy and caked in food which we couldn’t do anything about because there was no sink. There was a blood stain on one of the pillows and the bedding clearly hadn’t been cleaned between guests because there was dirt and hair in it. The soap provided in the shower was awful and gave me a rash. The security gate at the front also didn’t work which didn’t feel very safe.

This hotel was the most dingiest hotel I have ever stayed in, there was mould on the bathroom floors, mould on the shower curtain and I’m pretty sure people can see through the bathroom window when you having a shower. Would NOT stay here again.

Would not recommend this property to anyone, Calvin misinformed about the cancellation policy and thats what he does at all times as no one would stay in this property for more than 1 night. Never pay in full until you spend the first night as you then realize. Understand this is an old property but there is absolutely no maintenance, beds mattress is of worse quality, wc stained, kettle and microwave so dirty that u wont use it. When i complaint this guy Calvin did not take any action and they do not refund once payment is done, i had no option but to leave the room 1 night early although payments were done in full. BTW before they say I did not stay in their hotel pls note that my room no was 225

Great place to stay in Sydney! Fantastic value, great customer service and close to the city. The train station is only a short walk and it’s conveniently on a main road making getting to the hotel easy!

This hotel has been an excellent place to stay. Its been quiet and the service was polite and fast. People complain about traffic noise, that's a common occurrence in a city based hotel. What did you expect to hear, horses? Boats maybe? Silly ppl give this place a bad rap but im telling you, and I don't bullshlt on my reviews, this place was excellent. I'd be happy to stay again.

The first time I arrived here was not impressed. Was greeted by a young man called Jeff who didn't seem to know what he was doing so my check-in was delayed. Then another man who I thought was the handyman or the owner came to his assistance and solved the issue very promptly and professionally. On my second stay I was hoping to be greeted by the same gentleman who had checked me in and to my delight he was there to welcome me and be of great assistance. Not only did I get upgraded to another room due to the first room not being cleaned or serviced but he was so helpful to help with my bags to my room. I cannot thank him enough and it has definately made me feel so welcomed and safe in a place where I first thought it was not. Thankyou so much for the great service ,will definately be back again!

Do not Stay at this Premises. It is such a Dump. My Wife who is using a Walker Found this place really Unsatisfactory in Spite of Explaining to A Lady on the Phone by the Name of Ann on Wednesday 13/09/2023. We Checked in on Friday 15/09/2023 to be Greeted by A Young Asian Boy named Hugh who didn’t seem to Know Much. Room 105 had a Hump on the Floor just inside the Door, Tissue Box on the Table was Empty,Soap Dispensers Empty, No Coat Hangers in the Cupboard, 1 Small Round Soap for the Two of Us & The Heater was Stuck on 30. I Complained about all this on Saturday to Hugh & was Handed a Box of Tissue. I Asked to Speak to the “Marco Polo Motor Inn” Manager but was told he was Overseas. Hugh agreed to Move us to a better Room on Sunday17/09/2023 as they were fully Booked. My Wife & I Suffered by Staying in this Disgusting Room 105. I Emailed the Manager who is Named Calvin & He Replied back to Me with an Apology. While Talking to Ann Regarding Calvin, I was told, he Wasn’t Overseas but was in fact in Sydney. Calvin was in fact at Marco Polo Motor Inn all This Time & Didn’t even Bother to Face Me. This Premises had a few Undesirables who was Smoking all the Time on the Balcony which was Disturbing for us.Cleaners finally Gave me a few Soap, some Hangers, Coffee, Sugar, Tea & an Old Portable Heater. We were Moved to a Better Room On Sunday 17/08/2023 But During the Night realised there were no Spare Blankets. We Were meant to Stay 4 Nights but Cut Short our Stay & Left the Premises on Monday Morning 18/09/2023.This is Supposed to Be a Motor Inn & all these Faults Should not be Happening. I have Stayed in Quite a few Motor Inns throughout Australia & This one is the Worst I have Seen. Please People, Do not Stay Here..

The good: the staff are very friendly and helpful, the free wifi was fast. The location is a short walk from the station. The emailed instructions were very detailed and we found the place easily. The shower pressure was good, and the water scalding hot (after a half a minute or so). Parking is free. The bed was firm. The bad: the family room we rented (set up for 4 or 5 people) was only supplied with 2 towels and not enough supplies in the bathroom. There was a surcharge for paying by credit/debit card which I don't remember when I made the reservation. The room wasn't particularly clean; there were marks on the walls, some interesting stains on the beds, and evidence of previous occupants. The parking spaces are super narrow. The ugly: the other guests were a varied bunch, and the police attended one of the several domestic disturbances.

Great experience staying here. We were upgraded free of charge to a larger room with no hassle. Overall our expectations value-wise were met and the owner/operator was very polite, helpful and even washed our car free of charge. Recommend for cheap and easy stay.

I was very excited at time of online booking with them as the picture of room they have shown us was completely different. When I reach the motel with my family, I was not sure what room will look like from the outer appearance of motel which was ok. Reception was also looking good. But to reach the room there was no lift. We had to climb three staircases with our heavy bags to reach our room. There was no service available. When we saw the room it was completely different from the pictures I had seen earlier. They said all the rooms are like this. The room has no service at all, phone was broken, no water jug , fresh water or glass, no hot water, toilet seat look was awful, floor tiles was dirty and awful, not cleaned; cupboard was not clean too, no extra blanket or pillow. What we get…. Bed, mattress, sheets pillow were ok; hot water cattle and the things necessary to make tea. 2-3 tea bags, only 3-4 white sugar sachets and two cups which was not proper clean. But from where to get the clean fresh water ? As they didn’t provide any fresh water, so we dropped the idea to make tea. I was completely disappointed and never want to recommend it to anyone. The cost of that room was quite high, that was enough for my family to take any decent and sophisticated room anywhere else. Maybe the cost will be less in the days when there will be no school holiday and less traveller demand. Not sure, but will not visit here again ever. We just spent our night there to sleep on bed and left early morning as soon as we could.

Oh Dear!! Faulty Towers, If I don't laugh I would cry!! Firstly, everything was dirty, tables, phone, remote, sink, lets talk about the dust!! The dust under the bed, well you could see it without looking under the bed! WHOA and the mouse probably dropped the half eaten corn cob under the bed.. if it was not a corn cob what ever it was, it was growing I am sure, I did not want to get close enough to find out what its was !! The place advertises Foxtel But guess what No Foxtel the owner had not reconnected since COVID well that was well over 12 months ago!! The Motor inn WIFI only works if I was stood outside of the room!! So if you want an experience where things are just perfect in the owners eyes please stay here, He wont disappoint. Stayed in one star places overseas better than what this offers. If you haven't experienced Bed bugs or possibly flea bites Not sure which it is as I have not had it diagnosed as yet. Please make sure you bring your hazmat suit to sleep in.. Just making sure improvement's are made so that you can offer a experience that people can write good things to say!!

It looked nice from the gate but when you get to the room… nope! The room was dirty, the sheets were dirty, there was a dirty tissue left in there. The fridge barely worked and the freezer part had a lot of brown stuff in it. Could have been mold I’m not sure. I would not recommend anyone use this hotel.

Would not recommend staying here. The staff and residents were loud, obnoxious and rude. The bathroom was full of mould, the shower head was broken, the bathroom hinges were broken. The traffic noises were insanely loud, and the blinds to the room didn’t block any light out. There was so much city traffic noises, and light filling the room at night time. The rooms were dirty and uncomfortable to stay in. I did not feel safe here

Dirty rooms. The cleaner does not come to change the sheets and blankets at all. When I delivered the room, the room was dirty with sitting dishes. The only positive point of this hotel was its strong Wi-Fi on the second floor. The Wi-Fi on the third floor was weak, you couldn't sleep at night with the sound of the plane. The behavior of the staff is not good at all. They just say ok and don't care at all. Throw your money down the toilet, but don't spend it to stay in this hotel.

We have previously stayed at this accommodation last year and recently. The customer service is amazing. We had a recently renovated room. The room was nice but we were told there was LED lighting in the room and that did not work, we were also told there was a big tv in there but it was such a small tv. The bathroom was nice but the shower fittings were not fitted properly and the temperature of the shower was just not working correctly. It would only heat up when it was on the handle head shower fitting. The room needed more pillows in it. I also had a look under the bed and it was very dirty. We had come back to the room after being in the city and the cleaner had left products in the bathroom but I get mistakes do happen. The accommodation is in a good location the train station is up the road (10 min walk max) and 7/11 straight across the road. It would be a big walk if you were to go to maccas. The staff are really helpful but I think more attention needs to be given to the rooms. We would love to come back again once it’s all renovated.

This is such a nice place to stay. Very clean, bit noisy, but very clean and safe. 5 stars.

Bathroom, was poorly renovated and mouldy, dirty, a used shaving kit left in the bathroom. The rest of the room was nice. Was only happy to have a clean bed at late notice, staff were happy to accomidate and friendly.

We stayed 5 days in here. Clean and tidy for the room, feel comfy with a reasonable price. Staff is polite and friendly, recommended many restaurants and places to visit.

Overall this was a great value, comfortable and convenient place to stay. Room was spacious but could do with some drawers (I stayed in the Delusxe). Free parking here made a difference in price comparisons.

My partner and I had a lovely stay at this hotel! Our rooms were upgraded which was lovely as we were visiting for a friends 21st. The rooms are super clean and the service was amazing!

Great value, friendly staff, clean room! Not much more required for a one night stay, we arrived quite a bit earlier than usual check in and requested a carpark until check in, but instead were granted early check in, above and beyond expectations, would stay again.

Substandard room, very difficult parking, noisy. Bed clothes are not changed. Poor facilities. We left a day early. Great if you want your car scratched and poor sleep due to noise

As a Solar Power team, we had accommodated there with our company cars couple of nights and using the parking facility. The place was excellent and tidy. Highly recommended this Motel to Tradies because of its central location possibilities.

5 out of 5 for service, location and value! We stayed for 7D6N and appreciated the secure parking and amazing location close to CBD, near Birkenhead Outlets and near the freeway to scenic spots. The price for such a location is unbeatable and Calvin + Team was attentive to our needs. Thank you for the clean rooms, comfy beds and terrific location ^^!

Best of the best As a group of five it was a bit difficult to find the right place for some nights in Sydney. We were very happy with the provided service and the clean rooms. Nice people and a funny Boss:) For the reasonable price perfect. Would recommend

If you are on a budget you can't beat it for friendly helpful service, location and availability to public transport ,free secure parking Rooms and accommodation are fine for price( if you want a five star resort ,blow the budget somewhere else) More than happy with the whole deal. Our place of choice on return trip to Sydney

Very helpful and friendly service. Secure parking close to room. Large room with ensuite, fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, 2 sets of cutlery & crockery, ironing board, towels, bedding including spare blanket & pillow. Toiletries including toothbrush and razor were an unexpected touch. (See photo) Hot shower with fabulous water pressure. Not great: outside is looking run down. There is no sound proofing so you will hear people in other rooms and rain sounds like someone showering for hours.

  • 2/5 Emma B. 1 year ago on Google
Perfect location, comfy bed and friendly staff. Bathroom was full of mould. There were no charging sockets anywhere near the bed. Getting aircon involved getting a special room and we were told if we used the other bed (which we were more than welcome to) we would be charged an additional $30.

  • 5/5 Kyle D. 1 year ago on Google
Clean rooms, comfy beds and plenty of space. Honestly can’t complain. Excellent place to stay and a 5 minute walk from the train and tram. All the new renovations they’ve done look fantastic too. Friendly staff and the owner is always up for a chat and recommendations on what you should check out and nice places to eat. Key card locks for the doors and entrance onto the facility so you can rest assured your car will be safe. Was cautious after reading the reviews reviews but they don’t accurately reflect the Marco Polo Motor Inn. Definitely will be staying here again.

Calvin helped us move our car, upgraded our room for more space to accommodate 4 people, he told us where to get the best food. One call and he was their to help 24/7. Clean room, spacious, private bathroom, air-con, toiletries like toothbrush in room, mini-fridge, tv. 7km from main suburb. Shower was hot. Beds were comfortable

  • 1/5 Michael P. 1 year ago on Google
On arrival the first thing noticed was the window with the poor attempt at a curtain..simply a curtain twice the size of the window folded in half and hung over the rail. Then we get to the condition of the room itself. Clearly the cleaners dont actually do what is considered a basic clean as the floors were dirty with fluff, hair and dirt. Then the main bed....what can you say...dirt and grit in the bed. The top cover just pulled up and tucked in with the base sheet not even straightened out. But the best part....finding a previous guests school paperwork and journal STILL IN THE BED at the foot end. No room to move in room at all. Would never consider staying again. My car would be a better overnight stay. Left the school books etc on top of the microwave so maybe the cleaners will see it next time. Thankfully it was only an overnight stay to rest on the drive from Queensland to Melbourne

  • 2/5 Orey W. 1 year ago on Google
Well, where do I start!! positives: staff were polite and accommodating. Negatives: upon arrival we were given our room key and when we entered our room, we quickly realized it had not yet been serviced (or forgotten about) since the previous guests. second room we were given was 1 bed short! 3rd time lucky.... so we thought!! hair everywhere, mold everywhere, air-conditioning vents moldy and clogged with dust (and didn't even work) window was jammed from dust and crud build up, cola or something sprayed up the back of the door, cracked bathroom basin, toothpaste running down the wall, everything was dirty and sticky!! one of my boys wouldn't even sleep under the covers as his bed was crumby! we really felt as though we were staying in downtown Bangkok rooms extremely outdated and damaged. please don't stay here.

Great location. Just off Parramatta road but rooms seemed to be bit expensive at this time of the year. Rooms are reasonably ok. Few nights stop over for business trips or quick catchup but nothing much for the whole family. 24x7 reception service but no one behind counter from 1-5am was terrible experience calling them but otherwise stay was good. 4 stars
