    Staff did not inform at check in that reception is left unattended from 11PM-7AM. I came back at 3AM expecting to be able to go to my room but my key didn’t work. I rung the number for the hotel manager displayed on the signage but no one picked up. As the expectation for paying to stay at this and any hotel is to be able to access my room at my convenience without trouble, I was extremely upset and ended up having to stay at my friend’s place. When I came back that morning, I was met with a very unhelpful front desk manager. I had explained the situation but after checking my key she said there’s nothing wrong. I spent a good 20-30 minutes that very night trying to scan my card before I left. Even so, I only stepped out for a second before trying to come back inside the lobby to ring the other number displayed but my card couldn’t even be scanned to enter the front door. Thinking back, the front desk manager’s response was simply gaslighting and irresponsible. As a customer dealing with a manager working in hospitality, the first response customers would expect to hear is an apology for what happened. She did not once offer an actual apology for the inconvenience or the situation that happened but went as far as to explain that the hotel manager lives a mere 3 minute walk away and had I called a few more times it would’ve been guaranteed that someone would pick up. Mind you this was at 3AM and no one would’ve had the energy or mental capacity to go through this ordeal. I was offered a free breakfast but still, no apology. I usually stay at hotels in the city that are cheaper, always attended by staff and far nicer but decided to try out a new place closer to where my friends live. Needless to say I did not get any sleep that night and the entire experience is disappointing to say the least. Was only able to stay there for 1 out of the 2 nights that I paid for. A complete and utter waste of money. Had the response from hotel staff been better, I would consider coming back but that’s out of the question now.

    Terrible stay. My room was upgraded however the shower flooded all over the room & out into the bed area. Could not continue my shower. The bed lacked a too sheet. No spare blanket. I was cold over night & the cups to make coffee in the morning were a piccolo sizes Told reception in the morning & they only said ‘sorry about that ‘ Do you self a favour …. Don't stay there Went to cafe on site for breakfast Food was cold 🤷‍♀️

    Extra charge for no reason. I did not use anything in mini bar. Neither did I left a mess or smoke in the room. Do you guys just charge people a small amount extra and expect most people miss it and move on? It not gonna make you rich, but people probably not come back ever.

    Bad service, ordered a room for 1 adult and 2 kids had one king bed… complained and 2 hours later the bed arrived. It wasn’t cleaned even when the electronic cleaning tag was on . Only had 2 towels had to get more, also very expensive,

    Where do I start, really wanted this to be a great experience. Common theme took $100 dollars on a Saturday night, Tuesday still has not been put back into my bank account. Pool had dirty wet towels laying around Straws and derby in the pool, chloride was way over the top burning my daughters face. DO NOT order room service it was cold, reheated and revolting, I refused to pay for it, had to head out to get dinner. Skye bar was helpful but my cocktails were like vodka and mix up cordial, my daughter mocktail was excellent. Sadly will not be back.

    This year alone they have charged us incorrectly 5x on our credit card. Their refunds take days and they failed to refund the surcharges. 3x our credit card was charged for parking of other guests. Last week, they promised that won't happen again and it just happened again today. We are constantly worried about what they will charge next. The reception team was trying to help but they constantly makes mistakes on the credit card. Taufik on the other hand has been an absolute star in providing customer services and help.

    Fortunately, I looked at the bill, that woman charged me again today, and I am asking them to refund it now! I paid for everything online yesterday and now my mortgage credit card is being charged again for the room! A woman with heavy makeup and a bad attitude! No apologies at all! Guests should pay attention to the bill! The price is very expensive, but the service and packages cannot match the price Let me ask again, don't the hotel staff need to apologize for charging me twice? The manager who replied to me is assured that your hotel has also been blacklisted by me, and I will continue to complain! The one-day room fee is almost $300, and the extra money is doubled for no reason. You guys did it on purpose. You didn’t look at the bill and the money went into your pockets, right?

    A word of warning. Please check your booking to ensure that you actually have a room. I had two nights booked and wanted to add another night. I was assured there was availability but because my business travel was handled by a travel agent he would have to ask. The hotel told my travel agent that they were overbooked, could not extend, and asked that he move me somewhere else which they were going to do anyway. While I appreciate issues can come up, the way the situation was handled was despicable, creating stress and the need to make last-minute rearrangements costing me and the business time and energy. I am a member of the IHG Hotels - time to reconsider my loyalty.

    Pool was not heated like advertised hot tub didn't work. Young kids running around unsupervised at the pool dumping water on the chairs and jumping on the pool chairs even the ones we had our stuff on. Seemed like the kids may have been an employees kids or friends of one of the employees. Beds on rollers so they moved around during the night. The air conditioner hardley worked and the room was hot. No sheet on the bed just the comforter. Not what I would expect from a crowne plaza. Front desk staff was lovely which saved this from being a one star rating. Very disappointing stay.

    Terrible Service, charged me twice and no apology at all. Never seen hospitality industry like this at all. The staff on duty even threatened me to never show up at crown plaza hotel. Who offered you the privilege to demand something like this ? You need to seriously look into this matter. Checked the comments, I’m not the only one facing this problem.

    The room is clean, comfortable linens. Great to have the kitchenette in the room. The Burwood train station is within 5 minutes walk with is very handy to and from the airport and other destinations. The Burwood park is just opposite the hotel. The Burwood China town, Westfield shopping mall are all within walking distance.

    We had booking for 2 rooms and when we arrived they had double book our reservation and didn't have the 2 rooms available. After I had to organise another accommodation they ramdomly said it was all sorted which made us think someone else was getting kicked out. Elevator was not working and we had to take the fire stairs. Really horrible service

    I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with impeccable service and a warm welcome. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure my stay was nothing short of perfection. The hotel is close to all amenities and had everything I needed for the short stay I was there for.

    Strongly recommend! I believe that management team has been changed. I can visually locate that a number of things have been changed into good way. The quality of food was impeccable with extensive wine lists.

    Had a bit of a horrific stay. Lights started to flash at about 1am in the morning on the second night. I had to run out of the room to notice that I was the only one affected. I called reception and they told me that's okay, it happens when dimmable lights are close to off but I was sleeping, I didn't touch those lights. In the end, it was an issue with the power switches turning off and on. I was given another room and it was a downgrade. There were also some issues with the AC turning off/on randomly and on the day before the lights flashing I seen some sparks when turning off/on the washroom lights. I wonder if that's ok, especially when someone leaves the washrooms after a shower with his/her hands wet. Anyway, I've been given a smaller downgraded room and no managers or superiors came to me to explain the situation nor did I complain... maybe I should've. I did however manage to speak with someone from reception one night before I left and I was given 10% off food. Yeah, not being able to sleep that night and the flashbacks I had from horror movies (lol) + jetlag coming from the UK was only a 10% off food consolation for a day worth about 5$. I did however appreciate the late checkout that I was offered, unfortunately I had to leave early for my flight the next morning. The staff I also noticed was a bit careless, especially the room cleaners when walking around. In a nutshell, perhaps I was just unlucky but this one of the worst stays I had ever and if I count $ paid, it's definitely the worst one. I am travelling quite a lot and have seen at least 300 hotels in the last 10 years. I'd advise you to skip this hotel or take your chances.

    Meets basic 3+ star standards. Clean big rooms with space. Very minimal room amenities, bathroom with required amenities. Very good proper hairdryer. However, will be nicer with sound proof window as can hear traffic noise in the day. Good artisan cafe in the premise. Surrounded by many Chinese food restaurants (Chinatown). Basic breakfast and dont expect hot & savory buffet spread.

    We had wonderful stay at the Crown Plaza Burwood, they changed the management recently receptionist are very welcoming and professional. We were enjoying the roof top pool and great city from the room, room is spacious for 2 by the way! Thank you for the manager at the desk, will be back soon.

    The location and the contemporary style room suits us. The receptionist who checked us in was not exactly the friendly type. We got a room for disables which is fine but the way I was informed was not very diplomatic ( was told I should be thankful to even get a room?) The bathroom design was a disaster in this room. Shower water fills the entire bathroom floor and will not stop so eventually out corridor outside of the bathroom was flooded. I didn’t bother asking to change my room as I was told nothing would be available. The balcony is a great size for a hotel room. Would be good to have some furniture like a chair or two. Rooftop was amazing. Beautiful set up I loved it. Location is the great.

    We've stayed here twice and the experience was great. However, when we booked for the third time, they cancelled our reservation without informing us. Apprently, there was a function and a big group of people booked there. We drove 3 hours to the hotel in the late evening and been informed that the room had been cancelled. There's no explanation and not even mention any compensation. I originally rated this hotel with 5 stars, but now I would never book here again.

    Hotel exceeded expectation, can’t recommend it enough. Thank you to Joel and the team for kindly amending my parents booking who got stuck in NZ! Treated with so much kindness before we even arrived. Staff at the desk were friendly and welcoming! Thank you so much for the complementary drinks in the stunning rooftop bar! Our room was luxurious, and thank you to our awesome cleaner who made up our room everyday like new! Floor 9 🤩 Highly recommend the rooftop pool! We had it to ourselves each time we visited. Overall fantastic visit and we will be back!

    I have stayed at the crown plaza many times but never have I had the experience I received last night for no other reason but to provide great customer service. Headed to the absolutely amazing rooftop bar that has Sydney harbor and city views as I usually do after work i was met by the new manager/owner AJ. His presence and attitude immediately washed away the horrible day I had. After finding out what I personally liked, AJ created a cocktail just for me that was out of this world, it was safe to say I was staying for a while. Over the night AJ and his staffs hospitality, friendliness and outright dedication to their guests is second to none, can seriously say it made me feel so welcome and not just another room number. Well done AJ I have no doubt you will grow the success of the crown with your management style. See you at rooftop tonight

    I recently went to sky crown plaza in Burwood. The service I received was first class. The manager (AJ)I received was of the highest quality. The manager was very polite and friendly I highly recommend this for anyone with nice drinks good food good view good service,as I’m sure the service you recieve will be of the highest quality.

    Close to the station, Staff members are willing to help us. Very nice size of room. close to lots of delicious restaurants at Strathfield. and thank you for tidying up my ripped off compliment slippers for 3days😂I need to ask get a new one.

    Pros: Convenient location Cons: Chaise was dirty, toiletries including toilet paper were not refilled when we checked into the room, room with 2 double beds was located on Level 2 with no views (this needs to be indicated on website), water flooding out of shower recess due to poor design and very limited ala carte breakfast options. Unfortunately, we will not be recommending this hotel.

    A $100 bond was taken without my permission even though the booking was under my mum's name and I was simply checking in to stay. The bond was never returned even though we stayed one night and did not do any damage. Hotel management stuffed us around for a couple months and blamed NAB for holding the money. NAB have said the money is held by the hotel. Enjoy the $100 I hope it is worth the bad public image.

    Great location, super friendly staff, heated roof top pool and nice roof top bar with views over the city (but it is over priced and bar food very average). Rooms were great and beds comfortable, but veranda wasn't cleaned properly. No outside noise and parking was cheap @$25. Nice café downstairs and coffee was excellent. The Sky Bar and Café get busy so recommend you book to avoid disappointment.
