    My recent stay at your pet-friendly hotel in Sydney during the Vivid festival was quite enjoyable. The hotel's dedication to creating a welcoming environment for furry friends was impressive, with special touches like a dedicated dog bed, water and food bowls, and treats. However, these amenities were not readily available upon check-in at 8PM and had to be brought in later, which could be improved for smoother guest experiences. Although our dog wasn't a fan of the treats provided, it's a thoughtful touch that other pets might appreciate. The provision of dog waste bags would be a useful addition to the current offering. The staff, notably the concierge, were exceptional in their friendliness towards our pet and provided valuable recommendations on other pet-friendly locations in the city. However, an unfortunate incident with a member of housekeeping who seemed to be afraid of dogs made it clear that communication about pet-staying rooms could be better amongst the staff. The overall facilities and amenities were quite good, though the supply of toiletries left something to be desired. Beyond body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, there weren't any additional consumables provided. Whether this was a simple oversight or a policy, it would be great to see an enhancement in this area. The hotel exuded a trendy vibe, and the staff were highly accommodating. The facilities were up-to-date and well-maintained, but a note of concern was the hotel gym - it was quite small, barely enough for two people at a time, which can be inconvenient during peak hours. In conclusion, your hotel offers a fantastic pet-friendly option in Sydney with an upbeat atmosphere and a diligent team. There are some areas where improvements could be made to perfect the guest experience, but I would still recommend your establishment to other pet-owning travellers.

    Hotel was fabulous. Loved the vibe. Few issues with check in which I’m sure will be ironed out in the future. Will most definitely stay again soon. Highlight of our stay was the awesome service from Chris in the Bar/restaurant area. His ability to read the room and ensure everyone felt special was amazing! Brilliant personality that ensured our stay was top notch. 5 star rating for Chris!!!

    We have been staying here with our 2 young girls. The staff have been so amazing, kind, accommodating. We were in and out of our room with a young child and the staff were still able to make up our room very late in the day (which usually never happens at other hotels). Plus the food at loam is amazing and the hotel bar is calm and full of great staff. Rooms are spacious and high quality too. Overall, the best thing about Ace is the friendly staff. Thank you

    Unfortunately, the Ace Hotel Sydney only gets 3 out of 5 stars. I'd love to give them more because they have worked really hard on the venue and the staff were all super friendly and welcoming. But the pillows were awful and the staff told us that there was a special gift in our room (it was our wedding weekend) which we found out later was a packet of nuts and two bottles of water. The large room is really stunning and the stand alone bath really makes the space. Would go back for drinks and food and I'm sure it will be even better once the hotel is completely finished.

    Great location. Modern rooms. Nice bar. Great restaurant. Over the top mini-bar. Officially opened the night before we stayed. Got to my room to find two cleaning staff having a break in the room! The second day, we had a knock at the door with another staff member asking if the room had been cleaned. Maybe the two weren't doing their job? If you like a heart-starter coffee in the morning, forget it. They don't provide milk or coffee in the room as "we'd like you to drink our boutique coffee in the restaurant". They do provide a kettle and cups (presumably to drink the Byron Bay tea that is in the mini-bar stash). Would stay again but will take my own coffee just in case things haven't changed.

    1. The accommodation location is fantastic - most tourist attractions can be walked. 2. The lobby staff are fantastic. 3. Room condition is fantastic. 4. Both restaurants and cafes on the first floor are fantastic. 5. But the housekeeper doesn't clean up properly. - I stayed in a terrace room for 7 days, and one day the housekeeper didn't close the door properly after cleaning, so the door was open. And another day, the housekeeper just took the tip and didn't clean. And even after cleaning, most of them were untidy..

    Lovely newly built and sustainable hotel. I stayed here with my family for 6 nights and we had a really good time. Best part about the hotel is it’s staff, they have managed to hire all super sweet people who are helpful and give their best for the guests. They will take your luggage, give you free masks, borrow umbrellas and serve you with utmost respect. We also worked from there for 2 days and the library area and cafe were amazing for that. Gym has all high quality equipments. So all in all a very pleasant stay! Will definitely recommend. Once you get over the $100 incidental hold/ night and get yourself settled with some tea, you will love every part of it. Note - A small feedback from me would be to supply handwash instead of soap and provide some basic tea, coffee complimentary in the room. It will take the experience to whole another level.

    I arrived at 1 p.m. and was told I couldn't check in, which was no big deal. They took my bags and I walked around the area. I picked up two other bags that I had had in storage here in Sydney. I arrived back at the hotel and my room still wasn't ready at 3 pm, which is the actual check-in time. So they said they'd take my other bags to the room. When I finally got to my room at 3:30, one of my bags was not there. It was my camera bag, full of cameras, lenses, hard drives, cards, everything for work. I so rarely let it out of my sight, but I was exhausted from a day of traveling and annoyed I had to keep waiting. I assumed they could manage to get it to the room. When it wasn't in my room, I went back downstairs in a panic. They did not seem to be that worried and I got eye rolls from the staff as I panic-paced in the lobby. 30 minutes later they found my bag. Their general demeanor was like, "Oops". Still standing and waiting for the bag I finally asked if maybe they had a voucher or something so the manager reluctantly said, "Sure, I'll get you some comped drinks." Then she handed me one drink ticket. Mistakes happen, and I would've been more understanding if they took it as seriously as it had been. I also should never have had to ask for a voucher as some kind of offering (I can't even drink alcohol at the moment). It should've been given immediately. Such a small token to apologize for the stress. I thought this would be a nice little stay on what was supposed to be a relaxing one night stay in Sydney on my back home.

    The bar is great, rooms are cool, but the cleanliness is appalling. Stayed here twice and I am 100% certain the room wasn’t cleaned before I arrived. New linen - yes, but minibar was half empty with a half drank bottle of wine and cup ring marks on the bench tops. I told them immediately when I noticed, and on again on check out and I still got charged 24 hours later, despite the assurances. First time I stayed - house keeping didn’t come… it is a shame because the staff are friendly and the space is cool, but these are basics you expect from a hotel. My advice - head to the restaurant and bar, but until they up their housekeeping, I wouldn’t recommend.

    We had a great time at ACE. After staying at the New York Ace several years ago we were keen to check out the Sydney one. My cousin and I had a wonderful time, talking and drinking cocktails with Anthony in the bar. What a great guy! The vibe is great, so many happy friendly people, and even a brush with fame in the lift! Definitely will be back :) Only downfall was the room and lobby cleaniliness. Would have loved some milk for my tea too.

    We experienced an amazing time, the food, the view, the comfort, and most of all, the service. The service was amazing. Every member of the staff was so helpful, pleasant, cheerful. They made the stay absolutely... bliss. We had arranged to go out to different restaurants or bars around Sydney but found ourselves staying at the hotel's restaurants or bars. The atmosphere was just so fun, vibrant, exciting, and even peaceful at times. I really have to put that down to their wonderful staff. Whether they have trained them a certain way or they just employ genuinely amazing people. Or even a mix of both. So, thank you for such an amazing experience. We'll definitely be returning.

    My partner and I recently stayed at Ace Sydney and I cannot express enough how impressed we were with the overall experience. The hotel is beautifully designed. The room was unique, spacious and clean. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, Ange from reception provided us with outstanding service that made our stay unforgettable. What truly set her apart was her service as well as the extra effort she made to make us feel welcome as guests. Not only did she provide us with all the necessary information about the hotel facilities and amenities, but she also gave us a small tour, highlighting the unique features of the hotel. Upon entering our room, we were pleasantly surprised to find a birthday card, drink tokens and two delicious cookies! This thoughtful gesture made our stay even more special. Thank you, Ange & the Ace team, for making our visit an unforgettable and truly special occasion. We are eagerly looking forward to returning to Ace Sydney for another exceptional experience.

    An amazing addition to the local area. Awesome decor and super cool design. I really loved the team (even though brand new) they worked well together and made me feel very welcomed. Food was fantastic and the Frothy Boy cocktail was way too good.

    Elegant and stylish room with beautiful design interior. Very clean and the perfect place to relax and feel inspired. Funky details like a modern retro record player added a special atmosphere, in addition to the really cool and high quality linen bathrobes. Very comfortable bed and fast room service. Welcoming, friendly and accommodating staff as well, which made this stay a real pleasure. Very good location. Both my fiancée and I feel happy, relaxed and inspired leaving Ace Hotel Sydney.

From the moment I arrived, Ash greeted me warmly and was incredibly helpful. She provided clear and detailed directions about the hotel, ensuring that I had a thorough understanding of the facilities and services available. Additionally, I appreciated the convenience of being able to order food from the restaurant downstairs for room service.     What an incredible stay! Originally planned to stay for two nights but extended it to three because we had such a fantastic time. We booked a Double Double, and we got a small but very comfortable room on the 5th floor. Beds super cozy, loved the blankets. The bathroom was gorgeous and had a great shower. On our second night, we started getting a bad smell coming through the vent. We chatted to the front desk and they were so lovely and helpful, moving us to a room on a higher floor that was actually bigger and had a beautiful view of the city. They moved our bags to the new room for us and even gave us drinks tokens for the trouble. Thank you Erika and the whole Ace team for helping out! The lobby bar is incredibly beautiful and it’s so nice to see it so busy on a Friday and Saturday night. While the bar is busy, the noise from the lobby immediately goes away as soon as those elevator doors close, the building is solidly built so no noise escapes from downstairs which was great. Breakfast at Loam was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. Great service, coffee, and selection of food. Great location of the hotel to roam around streets and feel like a true local All in all, it’s really hard to fault the Ace. Will definitely make this a spot to visit and stay at regularly!

    What a place! We have stayed at a few Ace hotels in the northern hemisphere so we excited to try Ace Sydney for my birthday. It did not disappoint, the service was amazing, everyone working there went the extra mile to make sure my day was great (and it was). The service at kiln and the set menu (group of 18) was perfect, wine pairing spot on and thoughtful. Room service for my post party hangover was great (particularly the afternoon margs) Rooms were well appointed and matched the style of the building. We will be back, and thank you so much :)

    $100 per night bond, made it tough when I had exchanged $500 for 4 days (heaps for taxi, food, etc.) but then Ace Hotel left me with only $200 left. A surprise I didn't want to have. The room was okay, nothing that blew my mind away. Gym is relatively well equipped. I didn't do any washing here as $60 for a tiny bag is pretty insane (even though I could expense claim it, I couldn't bring myself to spend such a silly amount on washing).

    Really liked this hotel. Very cool design throughout the hotel in the rooms, restaurants etc. Staff were really helpful when I had a few issues that they sorted. Room is super comfortable and spacious. Rooftop restaurant was great as was room service food and breakfast. Would stay again.

    The staff were amazing, all of them. I had a medium plus, the lounge was perfect. Bar downstairs was great and always had a good vibe. Kiln upstairs was an absolute pleasure to dine at. I really feel at home here.

    Rooms are small and overpriced, dark and cold hotel. Not comfortable, you do not even have a table to work. Impossible to sleep as well, the rooms are noisy, even if you switch the AC off the air continuous flowing making so much noise I had to end up sleeping in the bathroom. Terrible for a 5 star hotel. Makes no sense

    This review is long overdue. Last year the team at both the hotel and restaurant went above and beyond during a work lunch. I was pregnant and had not yet told work. The team (with a special shout out to Erin) devised a code word system for food and drinks orders and secretly gave me 'safe' versions of everything. Lunch was delicious and my colleagues didn't suspect a thing. Thank you!

    What a find! This hotel is COOL! My room came with a record player and records! Great mini bar options too. The bed was super comfy, and I had a great night sleep. The lobby bar had a DJ at night and the cocktails were delish. We tried all three dining options the Ace had to offer, and they were all great. There's also a permanent photo booth near the lobby bar too! Fun! Also, it's pooch friendly!

    I feel incredibly lucky to have booked this hotel for my first visit to Sydney. The location is perfect for anyone looking to explore the city, and the staff, rooms, and bars/restaurants within the hotel are all wonderful. Modern lodge style and super smooth and relaxed atmosphere. Ace Hotel helped me fall in love with Sydney.

    Great service by their friendly staff. Checking in & out was smooth sailing. Room was very aesthetically pleasing… Ambience was amazing too! Loved the fact that they used cardboard/paper keycard! Called them in and booked on the very same day we checked in, was very lucky we got some discounts on the room!

    Our favourite hotel in Sydney for fun, funky vibes. Having stayed several times with my partner, decided this was the place to pop the question. Stayed in a Large room for the weekend, complete with freestanding bath, large king bed, day bed that is the length of the room, a turntable, guitar, his and her sinks and walk-in shower. Vibe as usual was excellent, and set the room up very romantically for the big moment (think lots of rose petals, tea light candles, bath bombs, love songs on vinyl etc). And she said yes! The biggest highlight of staying at Ace Hotel was the staff. They’re always so attentive with a relaxed and fun personality. I’m terrible with names, but thank you to the lady at reception that helped sort a few things out in the room, and to the gentlemen in the fantastic lobby bar providing a few sneaky shots of liquid courage beforehand. The rooftop restaurant, Kiln, also absolutely amazing. Thank you all, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend Ace for a little getaway, funky escape or just to chill amongst all that Surry Hills has to offer.

    A WELL DESERVED 5 STARS! After a cancelled flight during a Sydney stop over, I was fortunate enough to land a night at this hotel at a very late check in. Staff were so accomodating and friendly - I felt at home straight away after the stress of a cancelled flight! The beautiful receptionist upgraded me to a larger room for my one night stay and I was aided with my bags at my taxi where the man took all my luggage straight to my room! Everything about my room from the stylistic decor to the high level of cleanliness left me feeling relaxed and rejuvenated! To top it off was the awesome breakfast at the hotel restaurant Foam - with some of the best hospitality I’ve ever received from the gorgeous waitress Minji! I really love this place, and will be back for sure! I wish this hotel the best in the coming months and congratulations on the opening of such an amazing hotel

    What a vibe! Absolutely loved our stay here. Amazing decor, great food options (you must eat at LOAM and have a drink in the bar, it goes off after dark), beautiful rooms (albeit not the largest but very functional), and really nice staff. Not worth marking down a star but a couple tiny builds would be having a pillow selection. We found the feather pillows not right for us so a choice of an alternative would have been fab! And the last tiny build is a toilet brush in the rooms. That's all I'm going to say about that haha

    Great rooms, comfortable, warm beds, big bathrooms. The lighting in the toilet and shower is a little dull but pleasant. The restaurant/bar downstairs was also great. Table service. And very friendly and welcoming staff. Felt very looked after.

    This new hotel is really outstanding. Seriously - the perfect mix of fun, funky and friendly. Already feels so comfortable. The rooms are good size, so quiet, perfectly set up - including turn table and vinyl! This hotel is VERY special. I cannot consider going back anywhere else when in Sydney.

    Was interested to check out the new kid on the block, stayed one night in a medium room. Very comfortable room. Ate/drank in both Loam Restaurant and also in bar area. Exceptional food and beverage quality, the burger was legendary - the only thing that lets the side down here is the attentiveness of waiting staff, on nearly every instance of wanting to order an item one of our group had to get up and hunt down a staff member. There are plenty of staff around they are just busy looking busy and somewhat aloof and good at avoiding eye contact.
