Absolutely beautiful, perfectly clean and awesome hotel. Staff is very friendly and professional. Rooms? Spacious, fabulous view, amazing comfortable huge bed, mini bar, perfect bathroom, I loved the whole design.. Not only rooms but the whole hotel. Really perfect service, breakfast was amazing, big selection of fresh food, delicious! And I'm picky, something good for everyone. Swimming pool - perfect. One of the best hotels with best service I have ever visited around the world. I highly recommend, thank you and I will be happy to come back.

This is the only 5 star hotel I have ever given a bad review to and will never recommend to anyone or book again. when checking in I was told to come back at 11pm with my kids and suitcase because I didn't have my credit card (as my husband had an 11pm flight to Sydney) even though I had already paid for 7 days. When I said I needed to speak to the manager, she very rudely said she was. Over the next few days I repeatedly checked with the receptionist and the manager and was told that my room included a breakfast buffet. When it came to the final checkout another manager at the front desk told me that there was a problem with their system and that my room did not include breakfast. Even though I had a recording of the breakfast confirmation with the front desk, it did not help! My complaint about the check in staff on the first day was not responded to until the last day. There is no cleaning service for the hotel room after 4pm and if you call to request it, they only give you clean bath towels and empty the bin. My arm was injured in the previous car accident and I needed help from the luggage attendant to take my suitcase from the 8th floor lobby to the ground floor on check out day. I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes, but no one was there to help, so I had to struggle with my child to push it with my left hand to the lift and carry this heavy suitcase to the taxi. I can't believe this is five star hotel service, except for the location. Very disappointing!!!

Very convenient and easy to get to location. For the amount of money we paid to stay for one night, it was absolutely not worth it. Website is not current or accurate with available facilities. Long wait at check in and then had to wait an additional hour for our room to be ready. In the days following I have found that I was charged twice for the same stay. Very dissatisfied, and highly disappointed.

At check-in the guest service agent ran through the facilities of the hotel and engaged in friendly banter. The room was immaculately clean and spacious, despite being an entry level room. The view was lovely and the bathroom was extremely large. Evening canapes were brilliant, as was afternoon tea and the breakfast buffet. The real highlight of the property is the staff, from the doormen, to house keeping, the wait staff and guest services, everyone we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. In the past I've previously been put off by the price, as the Novotel is usually more affordable, however I can now see the level of service warrants the price. Will definitely stay here next time I'm in Sydney.

I'm currently staying here. I think the rooms and hotel are fine not the newest but not the worse. My rating is based on the cleanliness. Found a hair as soon as we got here on the toilet which grossed me out, fingermarks in cupboards, dust on cabinetry and stains on couch. All very basic cleaning items. Second time here and will be last time unfortunately

Honestly what a let down! We get a weekend away from 4 children and decide on a 5 star hotel.. was not worth it! don’t bother with breakfast, coffee vending machine I had to go to McDonalds it was better.. Waited 35 mins to be seated for breakfast to then not be able to order, even bread was stale and they rarely restocked! didn’t bother getting it the second day. stayed 2 nights and couldn’t get reception to ever answer. Room service never answered! Uber eats it was! When I just politely told reception (as I never complain, especially coming out of lockdown) staff shrugged and said ‘Sorry’ and took our $800+ At least the bed was comfy

Very good hotel. The rooms are comfortable, including the bathroom and the bed. The personnel is very friendly. Location is perfect. The only thing tho is that the rooms are not thoroughly cleaned. The outside pool is fine but the bar service didn’t work. And the gym is maybe a bit too small.

Excellent location but cleanliness from room to restaurant is a concern. Upon check in , threes are left over cholesterol bits in the fridge. When the room service came it clean it , they just swept the food crumps to be floor . I didn’t use the mini bar and fridge for my entire stay. The workload on the restaurant staff is evident given the long weekend especially for breakfast . Tables are not wiped down between diners and I had a free chip on the seat. I am disappointed for them because the location and value is impeccable ,but it’s details like this that matters. I wish they take this feedback seriously

The rooms are okay but not worth the price when you can get far better for your money at other hotels in the same area (The Fullerton is my go to). Most hotels provide a small booklet telling you what services are provided/ helpful tip however there was no such information provided to us other than what floor our room was on and where the restaurant is. The technology in the room is considerably outdated. One of the bathrobes provided in our room had what I assume were very noticeable red lipstick stains on the collar and the other had a hole in the side. The flush on the toilet was partially broken so you could only use the half-flush. The food is ridiculously over-priced and very very bland. A $90 breakfast will get you 1 small coffee, 1 juice, and 2 plates of the savoury breakfast which came with half a tomato, 1 strip of bacon, 1 hashbrown that had clearly been sitting for so long that it had turned rock hard, 5 small mushrooms and 2 cold eggs. If you walk 3min out of the hotel you can easily find better food for a third of the price. The one highlight was that during our stay the staff were all incredibly kind and efficient. This was later overshadowed when I returned home and realised that I had been charged twice for the one stay. I called the hotel to try to have them cancel the second payment however I was told that I would need to send an email and wait for them to read it, forward it to their accounting team and then possibly receive a refund. I feel that for a mistake that expensive the response should be much more immediate. As someone who has previously worked at a 5 star hotel for 4 years I am well aware of how quickly my team were able to process a refund without the need for days of emailing.

Upgraded rooms. Thank you very much. Pleasant stay and always friendly staff. Some issues on check out with billing which required following up a few times. Waiting on the final outcome. Some double charges were rectified. I would check any room billing charges before leaving, rather than opt for express check out. Other than that it was a great stay with the kids.

Last time we had a great experience therefore Booked a room with my complimentary night as part of Accor membership. Receptionist was unfriendly, did not receive complimentary water, and were given an ordinary room in lower floor. During breakfast waited for considerably long time then we called another staff member to give us two seats. Breakfast buffet pretty ordinary. Coffee took almost 45 minutes and wasn’t as good as it supposed to be.

A friend and I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past month or so. It is very conveniently located in the city centre within easy walking distance to Darling Harbour. Parking and unloading luggage can be difficult on busy Market Street but the concierge is usually able to provide assistance. Parking is several streets away. The rooms are very comfortable and surprisingly quiet. Great bathroom and shower which is important to me. The beds are very comfortable. We really enjoyed our meals at the in house restaurant’10 Stories’. The bar area is well designed and cozy but service is variable and it did seemed understaffed at times. My martini was very ordinary (could not taste any gin) and my gin and tonic was also very light on the gin. I only ordered wine after that. Reception staff were usually friendly but again the desk seemed understaffed at times. Overall though, a very nice and comfortable place to stay in the heart of Sydney. January 2022 update: At a recent stay my friend and I had excellent service with a most charming gentleman, Thiago, who went out of his way to ensure we had a very good experience. It was a 5 ⭐️ weekend! I also noted the bar had a few more gins to choose from! 😃 🍸

What a lovely place to stay as I was told we couldn't check in till 2 but was pleasantly surprised to find that the room was ready as we got there at 11am. The actual room was very large and spacious, and the hotel itself is within walking distance of most shops, theatres & restaurants 😁🍽. The hotel staff were friendly. I would definitely recommend 👌 staying here. And I can't wait to stay again.

Broken Bed, Don't bother getting Club Lounge extremely disappointing. No food for breakfast and evening canapes and drinks definitely not worth it. Do not get valet service smashed our car. Broken bed! No sleep! a total waste of money. Advised reception of issues and all I got was an apology. This hotel has undergone renovations in loby/reception area but they have let down their guard in regards to rooms and service. At breakfast had to ask for a coffee 4 tines as waitress forgot our order. I would recommend management look at overall hotel and service. Rate it a 3 to 4 star at the moment.

Hotel Manager: David does a great job. Concierge Staffs @ the front entrance always go out of their way for me not only with friendly greetings but with help finding transport & locations. Reception Staffs are very accommodating. Breakfast restaurant chef always cheerfully cooks me my eggs & bacon to how I want them. The rooms are beautiful, extremely clean & very comfortable with a bath which is great after coming back tired. With chronic medical conditions the Swissotel is an ideal location to get my train back to the Domestic Airport.

Went for a Friday night dinner. Very underwhelming $40+ steak meal. Only 12 fench fries and very overcooked limp veggies. Definitely will not dine here again .... but I did get to see the meal again at 2am in my bathroom sink. Still very sore and suffering from this 2 days later. Should have gone to a restaurant that relies on its food for business.

Location has interest, but it is about half a mile to the waterfront. Rooms are well appointed, but lack storage space. Bathrooms are plush with both a standard tub and stand alone shower.

Stayed 1 night for a wedding. Valet were very friendly and helpful. However the restaurant is weirdly placed in the middle of the lobby/reception area, so we did not feel comfortable eating in the midst of the hustle and bustle. The rooms were average but clean. Valet MUST be organised prior as the location of the hotel is on a busy road. My husband had to circle 3 times just for a space for Valet to unload bags & take our car.

A fantastic hotel, great staff and service. Only complaint was the craziness with the elevators. They take forever and are full very quickly. Just cater for this in your day and the place is otherwise awesome.

I went here with my family for 2 nights, and it was quite frankly the best hotel I've ever stayed at. The bed was comfortable, really nice chair by the window, a lovely bathroom and big bathtub, complete with a really good hairdryer. The view was absolutely breathtaking, I was almost directly above dymocks, the pool, and I could see the QVB. The one complaint I could have about the room is that the TV was a bit small for a 5 star hotel, but I don't mind as the quality of the rest of the room makes up for it. The pool was beautiful, the perfect temperature for this time of year and the cabanas/chairs were comfortable and provided shade. The gym was perfect, had everything I needed, rowing machine, elliptical trainer, bike, treadmill, weights, and other machines. I didn't use the spa but it looked beautiful and said it had won awards. The lobby is beautiful, and the arches bar is designed stunningly, with a beautiful display of alcohol and cyan arches towering above it. Behind that is the 10 stories restaurant, where my family and I had buffet breakfast 2 mornings. It was by far my favourite part of the hotel. They had a wide range of cereals, and hot food (sausages (chicken/beef), bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, tomatoes, mushrooms). They had orange juice, pineapple juice, apple juice, milk, water, and vitality juice. They even had a pancake/waffle corner with an absolutely gigantic tub of nutella with a pump, plus sprinkles, choc chips, marshmallows, and cream. There was also fresh pastries, muffins, a fruit bar, a nut bar, cold cuts/ salad bar. But enough of me rambling on about the food. The hotel is within walking distance of saint james station, dymocks, QVB and Myer. The staff are polite and lovely. The receptionist, (I think her name was pushu/pishu?) Was very kind to me and told me I looked beautiful. She was lovely as were the other staff. This hotel is definitely worth the money and is a must stay in sydney!

Loved the location! Walking distance to nearly everywhere, train station is 5 minutes walk away. Rooms are old though, and service is definitely not on par with other Swissotel / 5* properties

Awesome location, right on top of Pitt St Mall, close to theatres, shops and food. Highly recommend Executive lounge access - well worth the splurge for breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner canapes. Pool supposedly heated, but on the cold side.

The hotel is in an excellent location. I was able to walk to all my meetings around CBD. Well connected by train tram bus. Plenty of food options surrounding. Near Hyde Park for running. The room is clean, comfortable, and basic.

Conveniently located in the Sydney CBD. Great rooms, amenities, food, and service. Shout out to the nice staff at the Spa Deck for their excellent customer service! By the way, make sure to bring your physical ID when you check in as this hotel is not yet digital-friendly.

Location was ideal and the hotel is easy to find. The room overall was clean and the beds were super comfortable! Unfortunate that the TV has no options on screen mirroring since being a 5 star hotel :( I've been to a 3 star hotel and they offered that. Customer service was good, check in was quite easy but I think it was very busy so it took a while. Check out however was fast. There was issues on the day where elevators never came down and always went up, causing many lines and waiting time. No clear indication of stair ways (if there is one) so me and my partner had to climb down 11 floors on the emergancy stairs, then go back up to the reception by elevator, to check out. Staff were nice but something about the hotel doesn't feel 5 stars... if anything, even the 3 star hotel nearby does it better.

Unmasked staff member touched my baby's face uninvited during a pandemic... This hotel has lovely rooms, and the staff at Crossroads are fantastic, but the behaviour of the front of house staff is truly concerning. A female member of staff got into the lift with myself and my baby (in a pram), with her masked pulled down around her throat (there are very clear laws around this, that have been in place a very long time). Before I had time to react, she put her face into the pram and cupped my baby's chin with her hand - it happened so fast I honestly did not know what to do. I am not a confrontational person, and was stunned. Given we are in a pandemic, and this person works in tourism/hospitality, one would think they would know better/have better training. Further, none of Swissotel's staff should be touching guest's children. I am angry at myself for not pulling her up on it at the time, but I believe it is symptomatic of a larger problem because, as soon as the staff were not in view of the front desks, every one I saw pulled their masks off - entirely inappropriate and unacceptable.

Excellent stay. The receptionist is nice and professional. We are offered an early check-in before noon which is appreciated. The room is smaller than the previous visit but that is all right. The best thing about Swissotel is it’s location, just right above Myer in CBD and next to Pitt St shopping mall. Can’t beat that. All in all, we are happy repeated customers and will continue to stay at Swissotel when visiting Sydney. Two thumbs up 👍👍

I am sure at better times this would be a fine hotel. But if you are traveling here from overseas during periods of travel restrictions, then I don’t recommend it. I am staying for 7 nights, first 3 in self-isolation. But on Day 5 and Day 6, and after providing proof negative PCR test result, the hotel still refuses provide any house keeping. Every time I inquired, the hotel customer service rep gave me a different reason as to why they don’t clean the room. No clear guideline or communication. Day 7 and the last night in this hotel, and I would not be surprised if my room is never cleaned during my entire 7 nights stay. The in-room dining men is not only limited but they charge $9++ PER DELIVERY from their own restaurants downstairs. During self isolation you would have no choice but to order from them. Also the wifi login never worked. They did provide a working generic one, which gave me 24 hours wifi connection for the first few days. That meant I had to re-log in every day. To be fair, the room is good sized, bed is very comfortable, shower is strong and hot, and there is a bathtub. Wifi, while unsafe, is stable. Location is fantastic. But I won’t be returning until travel restrictions ease. Their procedures are not designed to support guests under the ever-changing rules.

It was mixed experience that ended up on rather good note! The check in was awful, the room was not ready in two hours after arrival, and it was especially annoying that it was not ready after which is their usual check in time. Make sure you call and ask for early check in, if you are arriving early. Most of the time in Accor hottels there is no issue and you are accomodated quite fast, this one was not the case and it was not pleasant. In addition the reception was buisy and lack of staff was obvious from the long lines at reception to the restaurant. Please note that executive lounge is not operating on Sunday, however the canapes and drinks are still available from 5:30 till 7:30 at the main bar area. It is also good to note that the bar is closing at 8pm on Sunday to serve drinks. Generally the experience at the bar was good, the house wine was acceptable and the service was ok, although undestaffed. The canapes could be better as you would be served a few mini sausage rolls and a couple of mini spring rolls with tomato sauce. For the exacutive lounge access food you would wish for better options. Also please be sure to check your bill at checkout if you pay at the bar, as we were double charged at the bar and on the room for our main course. Now the room quality was good size and up to standard. The pool spa and sauna was also working and good quality. In fact it was the best sauna experience in Australian hottels over the last few years as it was decent temperature and working well. Spa and a swimming pool were also good, not to crowded and fit for their purpose! Our spoiled check in experience was saved by Sylwia, the girl send from heaven. Swisotel is lucky to have her serving guests at reception and do the hard work of turning mediocre experience into wishing to try it again! Unfortunately she was not there when we arrived. However she was the one to work out our check in issues and get our experience in order for which we are so very greatfull! Also a lot of people in previous reviews were complaining about breakfast quality. We believe that breakfast experience was outstanding, on par with the best out there. We stayed at Shangri La in June this year and we could say that breakfast quality at Swisotel is on par if not better. Overall, we could still recommend this hottel for good quality upgraded rooms and good overall facilities and most importantly for its fabulous location just in the heart of Sydney's CBD.

The Rooms are modern and functional with large bathrooms. The Hotel always had a welcoming and elegant European flair to it which we liked. The colour combination of public areas I find a very tasteful selection. Been there often and will come back. My most popular rooms are the corner suites.

We had an epic stay at the Swissotel! First of all we got greeted by the funniest, nicest staff member on ground floor named Shawn. He was seriously one of the best hotel staff members I have ever come across. He even went to see where we where from on the guest list in his own time to make us laugh. The lounge was luxurious and had all of the facilities we needed to accommodate our needs. Rooms where quite nice and so was the buffet breakfast. Great location near the city and they had many umbrellas we could use if it rained. Overall awesome experience with epic staff members.

I booked a executive suite room with club lounge access. View from the living room and bedroom was stunning. Staffs were very friendly. Club lounge is open all day so it’s good to just drop by for little snack and drinks when I got little bit tired from city trip. The best part of staying here is the location. It is in the center of the city, easy to get anywhere from this hotel. Highly recommend for someone who wants city trip and shopping.

My family and I stayed for a week. It took until the 4th day to have someone to acknowledge us when entering and exiting the building. The reception staff didn't look up at all. We had breakfast included in our room and would go down daily with a 1 year old. We would have to chase down staff to get a high chair. We would also have to approach the staff for coffee, which when we did we were rudely told it was a 10 min wait. Overall the facilities and location was amazing, the staff were really unfriendly. Shaun and Sylvia (might be incorrect spelling) were very nice to our family and the only ones to actually acknowledge us. Compared to other hotels at their level I would find this one on the more disappointing side

Room was spacious. Good housekeeping. The only negative was the limited TV channels, and having to pay $34.99 for 24 hours unlimited viewing fir films, when guests are likely to be out and about for most of the day. It would be better to pay per film. There is renovation work being carried out, so the bar area lacks ambience but this will no doubt change when work is complete. Great location; lovely room; helpful and pleasant staff.

Great location in the heart of the CBD. At the moment there is renovations within the hotel itself so, there’s no real luxury upon entry or at reception to suit what this hotel really should be offering. I tried calling reception from my room with no answer and l even tried calling via my mobile with the same result. Staff are doing the best they can with what they’ve got to work within. I’m sure once these renovations are completed it will be a wonderful experience. Louise, Sydney

Wifi wasn’t strong enough for calls Check in queue was 20 minutes Mould on shower Have been chasing for an invoice for 4 days over email as it wasn’t provided on check out Despite having a ‘do not disturb’ light on, found people had been in my room having turned on lights, moved a chair and opened a cupboard. Nothing was missing but was unsettling. Still trying to get an explanation. Also bear in mind Spa and gym closed -virgin active access instead

The Swissotel redeemed the Accor brand for me. Fantastic hotel, lovely rooms that were soundproof and nicely furnished with a cool mini bar. Very comfortable beds and good shower. I absolutely loved the lobby and restaurant areas. Anything with the rooftop beehive honey is excellent, I had it in my truffle honey fizz champagne (yum!!) and as part of my cheese plate and it was delicious. Location is second to none. I'm coming back, thank you

Went for a spa treatment for the day which included access to the pools and sauna. Massage and facial treatment was excellent, would highly recommend. The pool was busy with children, so if you prefer to swim without kids i recommend not visiting during school holiday. Otherwise a great experience

This Hotel my family and I liked very much. It was central to everything we wanted to visit. The rooms we were allocated were clean, bright and very comfortable. We had room to spread out. The bathrooms were spacious and clean. Plus the staff were friendly, professional and proficient. I will stay here again without hesitation.

I had a lovely experience here. It was a bit tricky finding the place as it was a bit discreet. But when I arrived, I was greeted by the warm smile of the friendly concierge, Mahdi. It was a breath of fresh air to the city that I was unfamiliar to. The rooms were a bit smaller than expected, but I guess it was because it was in the city. The lounge area of the hotel was lovely and had wide spaces and was filled with beautiful sunlight coming from the large windows. It was the highlight of the hotel. It was very close to all the main shopping areas which was very convenient for me as I had injured my ankle recently. It was a pleasant stay.
