Terrible hotel. The only thing it has going for it is the location. Rooms, bathroom and staff are terrible. Do not waste your time and money at this hotel. Compare the Grace Hotel prices and do yourself a favour and book there. The rooms do not match the photos of the rooms it’s false advertising at its best. There was vomit near the entrance to the hotel and it took the incompetent staff two days to clean it albeit people were slipping in the vomit as they walked in and out of the hotel or passed the entrance. The showers in some of the rooms are useless and there is building works going on during the day. Some rooms are dog boxes. DO NOT STAY HERE! So many other superior choices for there money or a little bit more. I recommend The Grace Hotel not far from this dump.

Got what I paid for essentially. Hotel is very tired and dated and needs a refresh but acceptable for the price during a peak event. Hotel needs new beds, they’re not great but was acceptable for a few nights. Bathroom is very small and only a shower curtain, poor water pressure. Room was clean, wasn’t noisy (we weren’t near the lifts) and staff were helpful. Hotel is fine to stay at if you just need a place to sleep

I would like to preface this by saying that the staff were fine and the review is not a reflection of them. This is without a doubt, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in - and I have stayed in some real doozies! It was booked by a friend who was under the impression that the hotel was MUCH better than it was. The hotel is absolutely nothing like the photos, which are incredibly misleading. There is an absolutely dreadful smell throughout the hotel. The rooms are extremely tired and in desperate need of work - paint is peeling off everywhere, windows are dirty, furniture is very scuffed. We arrived to a filthy bed cover which had a dirty hand mark on it. The bathrooms are equally tired and frankly, not a space you want to be in. We didn’t even want to touch the shower curtain. The carpet is filthy and you don’t feel like you want to walk on it. The pillows were incredibly thin and the bed uneven and felt old. The location might be excellent but I would really urge you where you can to pay the extra money and get somewhere decent, clean and well kept to stay in. This really was an absolutely dreadful and we won’t be returning.

For a three star hotel the Park Regis more than delivers. My wife took a deal which gave us a king bed suite. So check and see if any deals are available when booking. The rooms had everything expected in a three star hotel a well as a microwave (excellent!) And plenty of tea and coffee. Staff are friendly and helpful. I understand that while parking is available it is in short supply so if you are staying here make sure you check in early. Rated are reasonable. We also took a trip to the roof for the lovely view in the evening. Bonus is that there is a pool. I would say that the entry and access to lifts is not wheelchair friendly but am happy to be corrected if I'm wrong so double check in this regard with the friendly staff. Last but not least the location is excellent. In the middle of the city close to transport, shopping and entertainment. Enjoy your stay Cheers Brent

Great location and friendly staff, hotel is dated and needing some TLC, that said the price if fair for CBD and reflects it is a mid level hotel, certainly would not avoid staying here again but it's not usually our type of hotel, we stayed for a cheap weekend to see Vivid and it done a job. Room has iron and ironing board and hair dryer, tea and coffee facilities and small carton of milk is a good bonus rather than the stupid 2ml pots.

I recently stayed at a hotel that was a complete disappointment. From the moment I entered my room, I noticed a strong, unpleasant smell that made it difficult to breathe. The room was outdated and not as advertised, with furniture that looked like it was from the 1980s and a bathroom that was in dire need of renovation. The tight spaces and bad design made it difficult to move around the room comfortably. But what made my stay truly unbearable was the rude and unprofessional manager. When I tried to discuss my concerns with him, he was dismissive and refused to address my complaints. He went back on his word and failed to deliver on the promises he made when I booked my room. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. It did not live up to its advertised standards and was a complete waste of my money. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and urge others to avoid it. In summary, the room had a strong, unpleasant smell, was outdated and not as advertised, had tight spaces and bad design. The manager was rude, unprofessional, and went back on his word. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and urge others to avoid it.

Nice enough small room at a discount rate. The noise of elevators was a little intrusive but I could sleep through it. Great views from the pool area and observation deck on the top floor. The main issue is the water pressure on the hot water in the shower, which was almost non-existent. They know about it as they have a little plaque saying so. You can have a warm drizzle but that's all. They really need to fix this, and then it would be a recommended cheap stay.

Hotel is in a great location. Everything is in a walking distance. This was the only thing I found good about the hotel. Customer Service was very poor, they weren’t overly welcoming. Room was outdated and was badly painted. Bathroom was very small and shower was a rectangle which you could barely move or feel comfortable in. Upon leaving the hotel there was a very noticeable smell of cigarettes throughout the halls. Elevator was very loud and could hear it from your room whenever it was used. Parking garage was very small and had rubbish laying around the places. Wouldn’t recommend for a nice place to stay.

This was acceptable, great location, bed was OK. Room was OK. TV was old. Bathroom was small. But. The price makes it alright. Would stay again. Rooftop was amazing! Remember 3 stars for 3 star price. You don't get 5 star for 3 star price. Keep that in mind.

Staying here at the moment and ran out of toilet paper (was only half a roll when we checked in yesterday). Couldn't call reception from the room phone so my son went down to reception to ask for a roll and they declined to give him one and without giving a reason!!! Incredible!!! I then tried to call reception using my personal phone and a message stated the hotel number (from the hotel website) was no longer in service. I cannot be bothered to run down to reception to demand an explanation as to why we cannot have 1 toilet roll but suffice to say I won't be staying here again.shame as check in process was really lovely and room not too shabby.

Contacting them by phone is very hard. I needed to see if on the day of arrival there was any off street parking, because you can't get confirmation when you book and it is in a difficult area of Sydney for parking. The room we stayed in was small, there are no facilities on-site. Location is great for walking around and shopping.

Rooms are not so good. It's pretty old kinda hotel. But service is very good. And QVB, Hyde park, Town hall , westside mall is just walk away. Till 15th floor hotels are available above that residential floors.laundry and swimming pool is at 45th floor.

Old run down place, bathrooms are tiny, hallways are tiny, rooms not very clean, old spring mattress with mattress topper to mask the poor quality mattress, no fitted sheet and the quilt was just sandwiched between two loose sheets! No quilt cover. Location is the only half decent thing about this place.

1 queen size bed should not be 2 single beds put together! Bathroom size was quite small. Customer service was nice. Location is good but very difficult to find the carpark and navigate to get the entrance or any taxi rank areas. Great for walking and public transport. Not worth the price but perhaps due to Xmas season... not very sound proof when walking in the hallway. Rooms were nice and clean and air-conditioned.

Great position, clean room, great service. Happy with our holiday. Very helpful Manager. Vivid spectacular. **May I suggest you point out for Visitors - Opal public transport (never heard name before), free walk; fantastic (lucky to join Guide in Hyde Park) and would have $39 joined bus tour, didn't see till leaving. Maybe add to your "welcome email" or highlight on "city map" on your counter.

  • 5/5 Jayden B. 6 months ago on Google
Older facilities, but the perfect location for exploring Sydney as a tourist. Close to various public transport hubs, lots of food around, and a cosy enough bed after a long day of walking. Sure, it’s not the most luxurious, but I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

The rooms are exceptionally noisy, especially if you are staying in a room faving opposite to the main road. The windows need some level of noise insulation but there is none.

This is a good hotel in the city centre of sydney right next to the town hall station. Location wise, this place is very good, but the size of the room and the corridors are very narrow and relatively congested. For 1-2 days within a budget of $200-$250, this place is ideal, but one shouldn't expect a high class stay in this place. We had a very disturbed sleep in this hotel because of the indisciplined guests shouting and laughing throughout the night, and the hotel staff didn't care about the sound sleep of their guests. This is the plight of their service. It's a hyped hotel, with an only advantage of location.

Very handy location. Room was very nice and modern. I would say renovated recently. The bed was very comfortable and even though it was cold outside the two air conditioners kept the room comfortably warm.

Awesome location. Lovely clean room. Very comfortable bed. Awesome customer service. For the price you pay I think they provide an amazing service. Thank you!!

It in a great location but its a construction site next door and works continued until midnight and restarted at 6.30am. Also elevators very loud. Rooms are small, our bed had a bed spring poking out on the edge. Car Parking was a joke. Small car only.

  • 3/5 Tracey S. 8 months ago on Google
The good stuff: Fantastic central location. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Downside - bathrooms are very small with no storage and beds are very hard. Overall - An older hotel with basic accommodation. Good for short stays.

  • 2/5 Eric G. 7 months ago on Google
The location is very good and the price is reasonable. However the noise from elevators is very annoying, sounds like a tram passing your room every few mins. Rooms are very outdated, bed was definitely the most uncomfortable bed I've slept in for years, old spring filled mattress. I'd recommend paying a little extra and go for another hotel.

  • 1/5 Joshua B. 7 months ago on Google
False advertising with the parking, and if you are going to pay for parking here, its 45$+ a night on a cramped space, literally squeeze in the car when getting in. Left with a big dent and scratches on my car and they couldnt even assist me with anything. Never bothered to give me footage for insurance for an “under cctv” parking. Id rather pay an extra 100 for the convenience of a better hotel. Not the best customer service either. Stay away from this hotel. Good location but there are other hotels that are just around the vicinity.

We arrived very early for a four night stay and were able to leave our baggage with the concierge and check in later. The rooms are clean and comfortable and our 12th floor room had a good view and was quiet and clean with comfortable beds. The room could be described as cosy, but plenty of room for bags purchases and clothes hanging. Ideal for business or pleasure for those who want to spend their time out and about and not in the room all day. The corridors are narrow but manageable with luggage and we are not as young as we used to be. Don't stay here if you are looking for every luxury feature but it is an excellent CBD location. 150 metres to the Town Hall Rail and tram station and QVB. Shops are very close by but not a big selection of cafe's in the evening. Plenty of dining places at Circular key, which is ten minutes by light rail, [tram]. I have stayed at many 5 star hotels in the past but few could beat this for location in the heart of the CBD. If you are on holiday or limited business travel budget, the room rate is a bargain for Sydney, and the staff were very helpful and courteous. Again we were able to leave our luggage at 10am check out and callback in the evening for collection. the view from the 42nd floor is a must for tourist photo's.

Stayed here recently for my birthday weekend and had a great time. Yes it’s an older building but the rooms were clean, quiet and the beds and pillows were super comfy, had a great nights sleep. If you’re 2 singles highly recommend paying the extra for the executive room, it gives you enough extra space you don’t feel like you’re on top of each other. The bathroom is small, especially the showers and I have a phobia of shower curtains so didn’t love that. Would recommend if a refurb is happening to put in shower doors and some shelving by the sink. The car park is narrow but able to be navigated if you pay attention and don’t try to speed up the ramp and it’s the cheapest parking I have found in the city. Great location and good price and staff were always lovely and helpful to us.

Unfortunately there is a lot of construction next to this building at present, 24/7. Unless you are a heavy sleeper and unaffected by dust, give it a miss for now. Otherwise, modest rooms and friendly housekeeping are adequate for short stays. Maybe management would be kind enough to supply earplugs as standard in rooms until the construction has ended?

    Been Here before, good rooms if a little small, staff excellent and helpful. Very close to transport and other amenities. Higher class restaurants no very close, but casual eating very handy. My choice every time I visit Sydney;

What a horrible place. Built in 1968, this place needs demolishing. Rooms are tiny. Bathroom is even smaller. Shower is an 80x70cm area in the corner with a shower curtain, no decent water pressure. The toilet is so close to the wall, that if you're using it, you have to sit at an angle as you touch the wall. The 8 button TV remote takes 6-7 seconds to change channels, 1 up or 1 down at a time. No amenities here. The desk chair is a $10.00 Kmart fold up. The lifts are very noisy. A musky old smell permeates every where. Choose anther place!

worst place i’ve stayed. the parking situation is terrible, only 15 parks for the whole 100 guests staying there and they charge $30 a night. had to drive in an out to even be able to find a park, mind you the car park was only one way. so having to reverse out of it was stupid. the staff forgot to service our room, we had to ask for towels. the place smelt SO bad. the lifts took forever. the front staff were also so confused and check in took forever. the bed was so uncomfortable, the pillows are like paper. won’t be staying here again

  • 2/5 Kevin H. 2 years ago on Google
Good location. Friendly staff. Cheap. Horrible room and bathroom. Shower is a joke. . Nothing like the photos. I had read some 5 star reviews which said the rooms and hotel were great so maybe some of the rooms are... Mine was not good. Constant noise from the lifts.

Well, the last time I was here besides last week was about 41 years ago, when I left working as a porter in what was called 'Koala Park Regis Motel. Amazing how they don't have porters any more. I used to love getting tips. Now people staying in the motel carry their own bags. We also had a restaurant downstairs - where we were providing breakfast in bed meals. Great staff at premises at present!

Location is perfect but it’s not everything. I really recommend looking into all the photos and reviews before booking. The good thing about the place is the value for your money (sometimes).

  • 2/5 Law 1 year ago on Google
I think the staff tried for me but they really have the job ahead of them at the Park Regis. My first room 710? was intolerably noisy at night. It sounded like being inside the titanic when it was sinking with metallic bangs and groans. I was certain a laundromat was in the room above with an endless roaring sound of dryers and washers. I was assured by staff that this wasn't the case. Late at night I was offered another room that wasn't much of an improvement (a window was locked open without an insect screen.?) I eventually decided to tough it out and remained in my room. The next day I moved to 1512 that was much better at the rear of the building. The showers need an overhaul. I spent most of my time trying to work out how to work the hot/cold successfully. Also, shower head came off in my hand in 1512. Poor ventilation so towels never dried. To be fair I think the big building works nearby go all night and that is a source of much of the noise. And again the staff were nice and tried for me. The TV was good. The bed was fine (pillows a bit high? Maybe one thin and one thick would be better.) Location is ok with the Park nearby. I think 3.5 stars is a bit much for this accommodation. The entire building needs renovation. Very noisy at night but I am a bit sensitive to noise also. For me, I'd say 2.5 or 3 stars would be more accurate.

  • 1/5 Minji H. 1 year ago on Google
The worst hotel experience in my life. Poor noise-proofing (and the overnight construction in the same building didn't help). The shower didn't work properly, and the rooms were too close apart I could hear people walking/chatting. Felt like a 2-star motel rather than a 3-star hotel.

  • 5/5 Mark L. 1 year ago on Google
It's not the high end of hotel accommodation but it is both clean and comfortable. In fact, its simplicity makes all the difference. Why pay exhorbident prices for something that you only really use at night? Their service was excellent and professional. It is located centrally in the city with shopping outlets only a short walk and Town Hall railway station and the light rail only about a minute away. A pleasurable experience.

  • 2/5 Tashi R. 1 year ago on Google
Super dusty room, smaller than expected, uses mainly 3rd party booking sites that do not have up to date information on the rooms or parking services. The staff clearly are trying hard, but seem to have had issues with the 3rd party booking sites leading to expectation of guests not being met. Do not expect parking as this is not guaranteed in spite of what some booking sites may promise. Location is pretty amazing though, so is about what you're willing to compromise on

  • 5/5 Stuart H. 1 year ago on Google
The staff were very friendly and so helpful. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms were nice and clean. The hotel is within walking distance of the various local shopping precincts.

  • 3/5 Monique S. 1 year ago on Google
Room was okay, but wish the bed cover was tighter because the king bed (two single beds side by side) kept separating throughout the night so my partner and I never got a proper night’s sleep. Also hope the shower water pressure gets better… Staff were friendly and kind. Location is super close to the shopping areas, but a bit far from food places. The hotel is less than a block away from Town Hall train station and a Woolworths.

The location is good but that is the only good thing. The quality of experience is very poor. 1. The wall is not even painted properly and the room is smelly. They keep the window open when we just arrived. The room is very dusty. 2. The room is not sound-proof at all. The traffic outside is very loud even during mid night. You can also hear the lift and people drag their suitcase outside. Loud and clear. 3. Believe or not the shape of shower room is triangle. They don’t really have proper hot water system. Only have a small one under sink for washing your hand but they use it for shower. The hot water can barely wet the body during the shower. You don’t even need to turn on the cold water as even hot water is not warm enough. This is something we paid nearly $200 per night. It’s even worse than the backpacker I lived when I was a teenager. Highly not recommended.

Great location, Lovely friendly reception staff. I found the room had everything I needed for my recent stay. I will certainly stay at Park Regis when I return to Sydney. Close to Town Hall train Station if coming from the airport. Lovely soft pillows. Great price for location.

  • 2/5 Laura C. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely staff, great location but the rooms are poor quality - dated decor and awful bathroom. Though the windows are thick and you cannot hear traffic, The elevators within the building are so loud & keep you up at night. BUT location is ideal!

  • 3/5 Ha N. 1 year ago on Google
Extremely convenient for the location, and quiet given construction is ongoing. However, shower pressure was very difficult to control. I just contacted your team via email and the contact to retrieve the receipt of my stay. It was a business trip. Please respond to my request. The phone is always busy and never rings.

  • 4/5 Phil T. 1 year ago on Google
The economy rooms are a bit less spacious than the site photos would have you believe, but they're comfortable enough. The service is very good and the location is very convenient for getting about quickly and easily. If you're waiting for an Uber, go round the corner: no stopping on Park St and you'll probably end up with drivers simply canceling rides which is frustrating.

  • 3/5 Emma R. 1 year ago on Google
Stayed here for the nice, room was okay, needs to have more sound proofing though can hear absolutely everything. Bathroom needs helps maybe put shower screens in as the curtain does nothing and most of the floor gets quickly wet. But very accessible to the city
