My partner was heartbroken after dropping his favourite Inner-Westie coffee cup after Christmas, which since sold out. However the wonderful Georgina assured us they were getting more in and even hand delivered it to our home - talk about amazing customer service! A great shop with interesting, unique artisan product and one very happy customer reunited with his precious coffee cup :-)

What a refreshing business. I really liked the old store but n Marrickville Rd, but the new Smidmore St is the perfect place for gifts and local art. Staff and owners are a pleasure to deal with making for a top notch shopping experience.

Hypmotive Hub is an incredibly unique place and my favourite shop in the whole of Sydney. It’s filled with amazing original products by local artists and creators, from jewellery, accessories and clothing, to prints, ceramics and just so many different things that you wouldn’t find anywhere else. Hypmotive is perfect for unique gifts, for any occasion. My partner knows that I’m obsessed with their jewellery and accessories so I’m lucky to own a few pieces which I absolutely love and always get complimented on. The owners are lovely and clearly very passionate about what they do, they even run various creative workshops, oh and they have two really cute dogs which just adds to the experience of visiting Hypmotive!

My beautiful Son and Daughter in law gave me a Resin workshop course for mothers day at Hypmotive at Marrickville. I really didn't know what to expect as I am not an arty person. I had a fabulous time it was very relaxing and the teacher was lovely . I now have my piece of art on my bedroom wall. I also loved the shop it is so unique with so much talent in the Sydney region it is well worth a visit. If you get the opportunity to partake in a resin work shop you wont be disappointed. Thank you Hypmotive !!!!

Recently I visited a unique little gift shop in Marrickville called Hypmotive Hub. It was my first visit and I was totally amazed by what I found there. Every nook and cranny was filled with a dazzling array of original pieces of art and craft, gorgeous jewellery, prints, cards, enamelware, and locally made items of clothing. What particularly caught my eye were beautiful ear rings crafted from layers of graffiti that had fallen from walls in surrounding suburbs. I was fortunate to meet Renee, the owner, while there, who told me stories of many of the pieces found within this little store. This personal touch added to my desire to return to Hypmotive Hub when I have more time, to choose some unique birthday gifts for some special people in my life.

Organised a photography workshop for Sydney-based makers and Hypmotive was the perfect spot! We hired a lovely small space upstairs that was perfect for 10 guests and 4 staff. Very affordable, supportive of makers, plus they have a beautiful shop downstairs!

Amazing store with such a mix of interesting and unique products most of which are made by Australian artists. Recently my partner and I did a pottery workshop there which was incredibly fun. Despite not having done it before, we both ended up creating a few lovely new vessels. Would absolutely recommend!!

A lovely eclectic space full of locally made artists. Staff are friendly and passionate about their store, which makes the whole experience that much better. The classes are wide ranging and very interesting. And Angus and Juno are the cutest mascots ever! A wonderful place to find high quality handmade items of all different kinds.

Hypmotive Hub is a lovely space and it is so heartening to have places that support local artisans and creators. I recently attended the Kintsugi workshop and it was absolutely fabulous. Two wonderful teachers spoke of this ancient tradition, all materials were provided in meticulous fashion and we were gently guided to mend a beautiful plate provided by a local potter. I loved every minute of this class and I am grateful that places like Hypmotive Hub exist for such experiences. Thank you Renee.

My friends and I did the FRIYAY Workshop for Four with Geenie and it was the best experience! She was super friendly and approachable, we had a great conversation about the beginner's journey to throwing and even about comedians! Her instructions were super clear paired with great demonstrations and hands-on assistance. She was incredibly attentive and very considerate of how we were doing (especially when we were struggling a little bit at first!). The store was so well set-up to allow us privacy with our little group of 4 and the equipment and materials were of high quality and made it very easy for us to adapt to the foreign experience of doing pottery. Thank you so much Geenie and Hypmotive!
