Sculpture by the sea used to be special, however still a major event on the calendar, has lost its unique style succumbing to the soul less chase of a quick sale😫.... Back when almost every piece was Site Specific, tailored to compliment and elevate the beautiful environment. Now, it's immediately apparent that most sculptures are created to fit in someone's collection instead. It's a sad thing to witness the decline of the mind freeing forms that used to blend nature and humanity in a spontaneous celebration, now restricted by price tags and tied down by the intention to make a sale. The shift in the event's spirit and priority is disheartening.

I have been living in Sydney since 2018. First time I went to Sculpture by the sea in 2018. After that I am always looking forward to enjoying the next one. All the pieces of the artwork displaying there was beautiful and meaningful. They added beauty to the most popular and beautiful beach in Australia- Bondi.

We've been to a few sculpture events in NSW and the one in Bondi and Tamarama is the best. Not everything is five stars but heaps are. Enjoy a degustation at Icebergs while you're there. T

We missed the exhibits by a day, however we still were able to see quite a few as they were removing some already.

Beautiful artworks. It was my first time visiting sculpture by the sea. I thought I saw all the sculptures, but there was quite a bit I missed. I only found out later when I went on the website to find names of the artists. I'm not sure if anyone else had the same issue, but maybe an interactive map where the sculptures are located may help. Shame I missed some beautiful pieces. Nonetheless, it was still enjoyable.

Easy to get to so long as you catch the train and then the bus to Tamarama. When looking at this exhibition you can be looking at the sand at Tamarama and think that you've seen all of the sculptures you take a little break and then you realise hang on a minute missed one there's another one there's another one there's another one and it's the same as you walk all the way to Bondi. It took us an hour to walk and we stopped along the way then went to the markets at the end and saw the photo exhibition at the pavilion all in all a lovely day out.

An excellent event, with some amazing sculptures, and a brilliant location, best enjoyed early in the morning to miss the crowds, and the best weather. Brilliant atmosphere on a spring morning .

The sculptures are unique and the artists talented. This is the last weekend to see them so if you can make it dont miss out. The walk from Bondi to Tamarama has stairs. Parking can be an issue in Bondi so use public transport if possible.

Mind-blowing sculptures every year. If you are into art and photography I would def recommend doing the walk from Bondi to Tamarama. Go early in the morning or towards the end of the event to avoid the crowds.

I am very grateful to this awesome organization for providing a beautiful piece of sculpture art to my community. The name of the piece is "The Moonwalker" and she is a whimsical female form that graces a seaside park here in Hawaii. She blends seamlessly with her natural surroundings and her best feature is that she is free for all to admire. Mahalo nui loa Sculpture by the Sea!

A nice coastal walk in such a good weather ☀️ Artistic and creative works - some got me a good laugh 😆 while others were just mind-blowing. Great experience and don’t forget your sunscreen 👻

Always a few interesting sculptures! Pleasant walk during week days as you can peacefully soak the art in! Weekends are crowded and hard to concentrate at the actual art! However I love it, it is an inspirational event!

Popular tourist attractions, free, once a year beach sculpture show attracts a lot of photography lovers, especially in the beautiful sunrise and sunset moments

I went to See the Exhibition for the first time in 2022, but regrettably for admitting that I wasn't very much impressed, as I am Not a big fan of Modern Arts. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful experience while I embarked on the beautiful Bondi to Bronte Walk, I could view and admire many Artists Creations at the same time! Fortunately, Among several dozens of sculptures, there were some Nice pieces of artworks, enhanced by the fabulous Coastal scenery! I definitely will attend the event in the future. I have chosen a few photos of Artworks that hasn't been seen much online from my "Collections" to post here; Because I like them.

It’s an awww experience taking a stroll to marvel the works of ‘ Sculptures by the Sea’. After a 2 years plus hiatus, returned to the Bondi to Tamarama Beach coastal walk. Don’t missed the largest free to public sculpture exhibition till 07Nov22. Great for the whole family.

I always love coming to Sculpture by the Sea. What an amazing collection of Sculptures strategically placed by the cliffs so that you have an marvellous view of the ocean and Sydney’s beaches and also able to appreciate these wonderful pieces of art. It’s definitely a favourite of mine to come to this.

Great walk but gets quite busy as the path is shared with runners, joggers as well. I would recommend to go early to avoid the heat. Bus can be caught back to Bondi junction at the end of the walk Quiet a lovely short walk and family friendly

Sculptures by the Sea is a great annual outdoor exhibition. This year had several standout works throughout. Unfortunately I found the display on Tamarama Beach weren’t as interesting as past years.

Most of the sculptures are ugly and uninspiring. No sense of beauty and creativity.

It was nice admiring all the sculptures by the beach. The artists, talents, and time they spent - it is very remarkable how they came up with such a unique piece. The piece speaks about their individualism. Congratulations to everyone.

Went there last day and it was quite fun. The view was amazing tho mountains of people. The only problem is hard to find volunteers to ask questions. But finally it seems like lots of volunteers were serving in those merchandises.

The Sculptures by the Sea between Bondi and Tamarama Beach is a great way to enjoy nice scenery, see some interesting sculptures and get outside. Some sculptures are excellent and some not but then it's all a matter of taste. Lots of people but definitely worth a look.
