Badde Manors is an longstanding institution in Glebe. I’ve been there countless times and I will go countless more. You don’t love it because it’s perfect. The bathrooms are never clean. The staff is rarely friendly and seems to change every second week. I once spotted a cockroach crawling across my table. It’s fine. You don’t expect it to be anything it isn’t. You love it despite all these things. The vegan brownie is to die for. The brewed chai is one of the best in Sydney. The portions are big and the food is consistently good. The menu is creative and exciting, featuring a mixture of comfort foods and healthy dishes. The environment is at once cozy and artsy. They have WiFi so you can spend your afternoon there working while sipping tea and eating a vegan pastry. As far as vegetarian restaurants go, it’s an absolute staple. Don’t expect a fine dining experience. It has character, including some rough edges. Take a shot at anything on the menu except the bagel. For the love of all that is holy, please don’t order the bagel.

I've been to a lot of cafes in Sydney and I work and study in them almost four days a week, and this antique style cafe is the most satisfying I've ever been to in terms of food and coffee and ambience in general, I'm so happy to have found a relaxed cafe, especially the soup, it's delicious! I love it so much! And the owner is very patient and friendly! Highly recommended.

What’s not to love? The cafe of our misspent youth. :) Wandering along Glebe Point Rd I wondered was it still here? I was greeted very cheerily and the food came quickly. Had a lovely English breakfast tea with almond milk in I guess an adorable cast iron teapot. Indestructible. :). Managed to order a breakfast dish at 130-2pm ish. May Badde Manors live on!

This will become my regular spot each time I visit Sydney. The Staff are extremely friendly, helpful and kind, they serve you with a smile which is not very common these days. The food was delicious, we ordered Chai lattes, Vegan Breakfast Burger, Vegetarian Big Breakfast and Acai Bowl, Cappuccino. The only item I didn't love was the Banoffee smoothie, I've never had a smoothie with coffee so it's an acquired taste. I highly recommend all items and I'm looking forward to trying their lunch one day. The atmosphere is also really nice, it seems they have many regular customers as well which is always a good sign! Add this place to your list!

My favorite vegetarian place in Sydney with variety options of drinks and food. Provide Breakfast and lunch. Friendly staff as always. Coffee always great. Plenty of table inside and outside.

Hurts me to write this but the food is terrible. I keep giving this place a chance because I used to love it. The last three meals have been badde! How can a veg nachos be horrible ? Stale corn chips one time and no cheese the other. The veg breakfast was just reheated dried out potato’s, tasteless baked beans, I ate the bread - with the hard avocado left the rest untouched. Even the beloved chai has been hit and miss sometimes perfect other times cold and weak. Two stars because I live in hope and the staff are friendly and welcoming.

The cafe gives me “Friends” vibes. Can’t wait for it to be open late again 🥹 Great vegan options as it’s a vegetarian cafe 👌🏻

incredibly cozy place for a lunch / brunch break. i was very glad that they're open until 4pm instead of typical 3pm and menu variety was a perfect fit for me. the interior was especially nice, will likely come again :)

Sticking to their original vibe, good selection of cakes and drinks. Friendly, quick and accomodating service. Breakfast menu is an ok, common cafe food. Would love to see more creativity on the food.

My friend highly recommended me to this coffee shop, she said: This coffee shop is the best choice for environment, service, coffee, food, all can't be beat! I was intrigued, and indeed the service was very friendly and the food was delicious! I really enjoyed it! Highly recommended!

It's been a while since I've been to a pun named establishment, fortunately it wasn't as corny as the name. Something about it reminds me of an American diner. The odd 3 seated tables, quirky kirtsch and little things like funny signs. Admittedly I took a punt on the lentil burger, not normally my burger of choice but it's nice to not eat a fake beef patty. It was delicious, the bun was wholemeal and soft, the mayo and pickles made it complete. The beetroot I could've left behind. The wedges I got were also perfectly cooked. My lunch partner got a vegan big breakfast. Usually my sort of meal but I'm glad I didn't. Didn't do it for me. This would've taken a dark tone if I had it. Too plain. Proportions all wrong....ok I'll stop. I'll be back. There's more to their vegan menu to explore.

I went there just for the chai but unfortunately it was really bad. It was made with way too many spices in it and tasted more like an Indian curry. Cute little cafe though and open until late at night

Two things. One, the food smelled so good that I forgot to take a photo before I started. Take my word for it - it was great. Two, I didn’t realise it was a vegetarian menu until someone pointed it out after I’d ordered. Great offering, great atmosphere, great value.

I met up with friends at Badde Manors in Glebe. It isn’t the most ideal place for dinner; it’s more suited for breakfast or lunch. The tables and chairs are really uncomfortable and tightly packed together. The menu is vegetarian which was great and the food is ok. I had a falafel plate with hummus and pitta bread.

This cafe is a hidden gem. Very rarely do places serve coffee past 4pm these days, but this one does! Had the matcha latte and brownie here and it was mind-blowingly good. Will be coming back :)

Visited on a Sunday afternoon and the place was a little busy but it wasn't hard to get a table. Was delighted to see an extensive all vegan/vegetarian menu! We ordered Nasi Goreng, the lentil burger and a fritter stack. Also, the bad manors chai is a classic and must try! We enjoyed the meal - no complaints, albeit the spacing between tables can be tight and the place can get stuffy during summers. All being said, I can't wait to try their other meals :) P.S. - Bonus points for punny name!

My wife and I stopped here after visiting a local art gallery. We had some nice Gabriel Brand Coffees, an almond flat white and a soy latte. They were well made and tasted very nice. They were accompanied by a very enjoyable tasting, Apple and Rhubarb Crumble, with a scoop of vanilla icecream. Staff were warm and friendly and very efficient. The atmosphere was nice and the décor was eclectic. A nice place to sit in the sun or the shade. The café is located at the Broadway end of Glebe Point Road and is close to transport. A coffee and cake sojourn here is highly recommended.

The place is really bussy on weekends but you can find a table. The pancakes were good but i dont like the idea to add straight away the honey not everyone likes so sweet them. How the place is bussy we had to wait for our cutlery and they gave us them hot, I understand that we have to wait but it would be really good if you give an advertency. And the water drink place it isnt no the cleanest place.

There's something about just the setting and sitting having a coffee on these really nice quart green tables in the shining light. As you should expect from great environment should come great service and as follows, also great food, tis it was a lovely meal infact. I ordered a smashed avo on chia rye sourdough with self added poached eggs + mushroom and a large coffee. Coffee was great. I always get caramel with my coffee, and it's good to see and definitely taste the quality in what they brew is top notch. The meal was delicious, they must of added their style to it because there was definitely some thyme or rosemary maybe, definitely thyme or such seasonings that were well received by my palletes. In the past ordering avocado breakfast items was a bit of a wager game because you never know how fresh the avocado is, sometimes it isn't even fresh (shocking I know!) but Badde Manors.. their avocado that they had used on the sourdough was very fresh, and I would even say probably the freshed and most well presented I've ever had in a cafe. Honestly in a summary of words, that meal alongside the coffee I had in such a beautiful spot where the sun shined through the windows of our tables, I felt relaxed and healthy. Definitely says I should visit again someday

What a great place for a family celebration. Catered for everyone, literally from 19 to 95. Sat in the courtyard which was warm and toasty with a lovely heater. The staff were so helpful and friendly, especially Jacky. The food was fresh and wholesome and delicious. Big portions! Would definitely recommend. Would love an online booking system as sometimes it was hard to get through on the phone, but persevere as it is worth it.

New management after covid and man have they gone down hill. Multiple orders wrong and food was undercooked. Vegan food came out with feta cheese. Rude waitress. There are absolutely no positives about this place anymore.

We ordered Shakshuka and Stuffed Crumbed Mushrooms. Stuffed Crumbed Mushrooms was so delicious, it was not too strong nor too mild. The portion was big and filling for two people. I have recommended few friends to Badde Manors and they loved it too.

My favourite cafe of all time! My mum used to take me here as a kid and 20 years later, it's still the spot! Hands down the best brewed chai in Sydney, no contest. Delicious vegetarian menu, heaps of variety, everything super yummo. Can't wait for you guys to open back up again! Xxx

Badde Manors holds a special place in our hearts as we went there on dates 27 years ago. We now return for coffees & meals whenever in the area. Best coffee EVER. Wonderful warm service. Thank you. 😊

A nice cozy place to have great food in the middle of the popular Glebe Point Road, just outside Broadway Sydney shopping centre. Although it was very busy, the service was quick and friendly. We were very impressed with the delicious flavours and left with full happy bellies.

Got the french toast and big brekkie and both were great. However got the french toast about 35 minutes after ordering and the big brekkie came out after 45min. Very long wait probably would have been less annoyed if one of our five waiters would have updated us about the delay. Not typical to bring out meals separately either? Perhaps if each table had a single waiter things would be less hectic and frazzled as they appear.
