Be mindful that if you have to park your car, there is $30/day charge. Swimming pool is cold. If you need coffee, the hotel's cafe inside is only available Mon-Thu. You would have to walk somewhere else in Newtown to find a place for coffee. The room is clean and and there is enough space for your clothes when unpacking, there is room for everything.

Great value for money 💰. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was good. Had a burger for dinner once but did not appreciate the taste. The patty tasted of onion and was not fully cooked. Parking is not included and cost $30 per night. Very excessive. No laundry service but facilities available for self service. Would have appreciated a bottle of water in the fridge but none was provided, only milk capsules and some instant coffee ☕️ and tea.

Spacious Family Room. It’s clean and tidy. Good size flat screen TV with Netflix 👍🏼 Good size table. Clean and tidy bathroom with amenities. Coffee, tea, milk and electric kettle. Wardrobe with coat hangers, ironing board, iron and blanket. Underground parking available. All good, we are happy with the room, only AC need to be cooler and we couldn’t change anything on the AC controller.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great (see photos). The bed and all the toiletries were good. The room with all blinds closed is very dark for a good sleep in. The TV seemed pretty new and had access to log into my Netflix. The size of the room itself was larger than I expected which was great. The office desk and chair were perfect for doing work. There is a dry cleaning company a few doors down that will wash, dry and fold your clothes for $15 a kilo. The loss of stars were that a few of the surfaces were not cleaned when house cleaning came by and the airconditioning was not cool enough. All in all I would come back again and found the pricing pretty reasonable for the experience.

My stay in here had been delightful. The room is very spacious with complete amenities I needed. I also would would like to commend their amazing and friendly staff specially to Sam who had been a great help while I was staying in Rydges Camperdown.

Really comfortable rooms. An exceptional dining area and close to everything.

Pros: Location is good if you visit University of Sydney , rooms big and modern. Friendly staff. Neutral: Breakfeast, bit expensive for what they provide compared to other hotels I stayed in. Cons: Internet is shockingly bad. I had to do some zoom meetings early in the morning and had to go down to the pool area to get a good connection. Requested a room change, but the room I got was almost as bad. Had to go to the bathroom to send email !! Also the road is super noisy, it sometimes sound like an airplane is about to fly into the building. Would not stay there again for work.

Very nice clean and tidy motel. Nothing was a problem and very enjoyable stay. Close to eat out and takeaway and short walk to Main Street with plenty of shops to explore.

Pleasantly surprised with how great our stay was! Needed a hotel for a night during Mardi Gras and this was next to an event we were attending. Rooms are super spacious! Plenty of room and toilet amenities are Thankyou - which is a great brand. Check in and out was super efficient and bus right outside that takes you into the city in 20minutes. Great hotel option without paying inner CBD rates!

Had to have a procedure at RPA and it was so handy to have Rydges Camperdown so close. Great room and service. A bit pricy. Could have gotten a better deal if I had gone directly through Rydges and not used Webjet to book.

Extortion prices for Saturday over double what they ordinarily are - $479 for a studio room. No bar so you should not advertise it as open. Hours for room service weren’t as advertised. No gym. Drinks service to room slow 60 min+ and got the order wrong twice. Staff do need training in this area. Also, staff asked me on the phone ‘how many people are in the room?’ What on earth would you need to ask such a question for when ordering one whiskey and Coke no sugar???? Drink service was so slow that I didn’t even get to drink it as I was heading out for the night. Rubbish service. Nearest ATM miles away. Heating wasn’t accurate I don’t think. 26 degree setting and still cold. Rooms were spacious and staff were friendly though and location is central.

I am very dissatisfied with the reception phone service!! Especially the women receptionist who answered the phone. When I just said 'If I book accommodation from an agency website, do I need to inform the agency to book a parking space?', then she hung up on me. I called again and was answered by a men. I said 'the women receptionist just hung up on me when I asked about the parking', he didn't say a word and kept silent, made me think this call was hung up again. Anyway, I ended up getting an answer from the male receptionist.

The staff were lovely and didn’t charge us extra for losing one of the room keys. In saying that, the decor is dated, and there was no mini bar, although the room was advertised as having one.

Horrible carpark. There are multiple pillars in the middle of the underground one level carpark and the space is very cramped and small. I can’t believe they charge money for using this atrocious carpark. It should be illegal even having a carpark like theirs. Even worse its expensive. I damaged and scrapped my car due to the impossible parking conditions from the unnecessary pillars. I’m so traumatised and devastated that I’ll never visit any Rydges hotel ever.

no water in rooms on arrival. Strange for a Rydges Hotel. Seemed to be very low on staff also unusual for a fantaxtic Hotel Brand. I'm a black member

Family room with no toaster, microwave, even biscuits with our tea & coffee. We expected ...being a family room that there would be more than ONE ROOM !! Fat too expensive & we were going to dine in the restaurant but..... It was closing early!! Why have a notice saying OPEN till 9 pm. 3 stars ⭐⭐⭐

Love this place, stayed here for the first time for my graduation. The attention to detail, relaxed atmosphere and upscale rooms were lovely.

Great location for Enmore Theatre and hospitals but when we stayed (it wasn’t even a hot day) our room was like an oven. We asked a number of times for help with the AC and all they offered was a pedestal fan. We hardly slept. It was a miserable stay. Do not recommend and will not be staying again.

A nice room and breakfast area. Everything else was a little tired and tatty. Under ground parking is tight. Elevators noisy. Lots of stains in carpeted areas. But.... Room was good

Stayed for two nights here last weekend it was a good hotel very nice not as clean as i would have imagined for the price but overall really good. Toilet needs fixing tho didn’t flush much. Customer service was good especially for room service. We enjoyed our stay the best thing is the parking it was very service and safe. Will definitely go back for sure

Close to Chris O'Brien hospital, very accommodating staff. Lovely people to deal with and very understanding. We weren't sure exactly how long we would need the rooms for after I had my surgery, they made it easy for us. Thank you so much.

Location is good with only a shortwalk or Uber trip to Newtown. Room was OK but complementary Wi-Fi was useless. Also be aware if you are driving and want to park there that the carpark lighting is not great and the car spaces are poorly marked. Also the car park has a lot of concrete support pillars so if you are inattentive you could easily run into one.

Facilities were lovely, pool was amazing. However the food options were a little expensive and somewhat bland. We were in an empty restaurant but food still took 30+ minutes to come out. Staff were mostly helpful though. Big thank you to housekeeping

Whilst the beds were comfortable, and the room was clean and well looked after - we had cleaners come in without knocking on multiple occasions, one on the second day of an 8 day stay asking if we were checking out. I ordered room service breakfast for myself and my little one, but his breakfast didn’t come & when I phoned to ask, a lady blamed the new person, and sent her up with just butter & vegemite - no toast - it was eventually resolved but would have been easier to be allowed to dine in the restaurant, but was told we had to order room service. No microwave was disappointing also, as we couldn’t heat anything up when the food finally did turn up cold. Then we wanted to leave a day early due to tornado warnings - the whole 8 day stay had been paid for already, and we were told we had to pay the full $200 again for the “extra” night. We weren’t cancelling, just wanted to avoid the extreme weather & were happy to pay the amount for the food we ate there, but this was an issue also. Finally resolved with the “manager” getting the other manager who kindly sorted it out for us. But very rude staff members on the whole & not pleasant to deal with.

A great place to stay. It might not be 5 star but it definitely makes up for that by excellent service and fabulously friendly and accommodating staff. From beginning to end our stay was delightful. The restaurant has a concise but broad menu with something to please everyone. With a well selected wine list , it make the perfect choice to accompany your meal very easy. The rooms are generous and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast and morning coffee is fantastic , a great start to the day.

Average rooms, clean and tidy. Beds not very comfy and sagged in the middle. Shower was broken. Great staff very approachable.

We stayed at rydges for 4 days recently and were pleasantly surprised by how quiet and clean it was! The hotel was perfect as our son was in RPA having brain surgery and it was so convenient to just park our car when we got there and just walked where we needed to go for lots of food option and shopping as well! Will definitely be back!

Been there for a training session, had morning tea and lunch there. Had to say, very impressed with the vegan options. The vegan scones were delicious and the roasted veggies sandwiches was really tasty. Thank you for not giving us just salad leaves 🙂

I didn't sleep here but my family had 2 rooms and I spent most of the day with them while one was in day surgery at RPA. This is an incredibly convenient reasonable quity hotel near the RPA with no bad surprises. The rooms are fairly quiet, modern and clean. Excellent TV in the room with Netflix and Prime available to watch. The building itself is a bit dated and the car park is a maze, but the insides have been kept modern and fresh. Ideal for anyone needing to be near the hospital. It's also close to buses, and there's a GoGet carshare out front.

Comfortable spacious standard room. Pillows were awful and uncomfortable. Staff pleasant. The dining room ordinary along with the meal. But you wouldn't opt to eat there given the variety of restaurants. It is convenient.

The location is perfect, walking distance to Newtown and all vegan/vegetarian restaurants in the neighbourhood. Room was spacious, clean and tidy. Same for the ensuite. Bed was pretty comfortable too with clean sheet. Aircon was a bit noisy but didn’t use it that much to warm up the room. There is no ventilation in the toilet! Pretty good price for what it offers. Will book again for sure.

In the last few months we have spent many nights at the Rydges Camperdown, the rooms are newly refurbished and modern, the beds are very comfortable, the staff are amazing and are prompt to help when required and the location is great and it's a short walk to King Street Newtown for amazing food choices. A great place to stay!

We have 2 kids at USyd, so this is a PERFECT location when we come to visit them from Melbourne. AMAZINGLY comfortable beds. Don't know how they do it....but I want one! Short walk to all the great eateries in King St. Bus stops right outside. Great little convenience store about 100m away. SUPERB cafe (The Twelve) about 200m away. Maybe because we are so familiar now....but we love it and keep coming back!

Rydges Camperdown accommodated us at the last minute and we stayed for 5 nights, with a child and baby, plus other family in an adjoining room. The service was fantastic, they heated things when I needed for baby, the restaurant was great food, it was very clean and the housekeeping service was really lovely. We were so thankful for being looked after like we were and was a great location for what we needed. A close cafe Happy Campa was so good and lots of nearby restaurants for delivery. To top it off - great city view! Thank you so much.
