Have stayed here a couple of times before an early morning flight. This time we were given the room closest to reception. Did not sleep at all. Reception being 24 hours has background music that was too loud throughout the night and kept me awake. The area is also extremely noisy with guests checking in/out and the lifts right next door where every conversation could be heard. Will have to ensure we request a quiet room if we stay again

Forced to stay a night in Sydney at this hotel because Virgin Airlines cancelled our flight. Room disgusting. Unknown stains on the carpet floor. Shower had dried snot on the walls and was like having a shower in a caravan due to size and plastic walls. Would never recommend anyone to stay in this hotel. Having said that, the staff on Reception, dining room orders and kitchen were pretty good. We witnessed them dealing with new customers over a 4 to 5 hour period with no back up because of many cancelled flights. Perhaps the owners/managers of this hotel should give the staff they do have a bonus to recognise what a great job they try to do in difficult circumstances. Won’t be flying Virgin again any time soon. The hotel owners would have made a lot of money tonight due to the number of cancelled flights.

We got this room because it was next to Sydney airport and we had an early flight to Brisbane the next morning. Juanita checked us in at the front desk and that was really the only service we received. She was very pleasant and helpful. We got there late at night with many bags after a long trip to the US and there was no luggage cart in sight. The guy at the desk begrudgingly went to fetch the one and only cart and he was not quick about it. The room itself was clean but very tiny with older furniture etc. and a weird boat like bathroom. The only saving grace was a comfortable bed. They do have a shuttle bus to the airport but charge $15 per person for it, despite telling us it was only $12 per person and then charged us three times instead of twice as there were only two of us staying there. Then the icing on the cake was the desk clerk on duty the following morning! I truly believe that if he smiled his face would crack and fall off! Not one kind word or thank you. Spend extra and get a better room!

Great hotel located close by Sydney Domestic and International Airports. Rooms were nice for a one night stay with clean and comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. Breakfast was included in my price and was a nice buffet. The hotel also runs a shuttle bus to the airport for an extra fee which is convenient.

Basic hotel room in close proximity to Sydney airport. The bathroom is huge but there is no shower curtain and a lot of the water drains to the middle of the room so most of the floor gets wet. My room had a large entrance area with no furniture so seemed like a lot of wasted space. Convenient if you have an early flight the next morning. A shuttle service will deliver you to the airport terminals.

Rooms are getting dated and need a deep clean. Also, parking is not included in the room price and I was not told this until checking out. The room I was in had a small fridge but no microwave. I asked if I could heat some food up downstairs in the kitchen and they refused. Be warned! Vent in bathroom was filthy. Again, all rooms need an annual deep clean.

The room is being cleaned every 2 days. Well, I understand but when it comes to cleaning, so many things you missed when you delivered the service. I work in hospitality industry too. I normally do not make any complaints but this time went too far and needs your attention. I came back from day out today and found out that my room wasn’t being cleaned pr. I can tell by the carpet was still dirty, garbage crumbs everywhere(was not mine that made me more upset), my shoes weren’t placed properly (when I left the room, I never place my shoes like that) the side table was misplaced too plus the other side table was still dirty and I can tell it’s not being wiped. The carpet in my room also has so many stains. The doona cover has stains too. The toilet bowl ring was too dangerous to use. Look at the pictures! If this is not your concerns, at least people out there know how’s my experience. Plus, the lady who came here vacuumed my room after I called the receptionist was really rude. When I open the door, she asked me “what do you want me to do?”I literally called reception about it. She asked me to go out from my room rudely. And I had to wait for her to grab vacuum machine but left me with no clue outside of my room. I waited her for 3 minutes wondering where she’s going?! Eventually she came back with the vacuum machine, not saying a word to me and shut my door rudely. Less than one minute she vacuumed the room, and she went out from my room while I was waiting for her outside, she just walked away and not saying a single word. How? Where is the hospitality in this hotel? I called back the receptionist and told them about that. I asked for a help to clean my table but I don’t want her to do it for me. A nice young man I Putu he came to my room helped me to clean my table. So stressful with this cleanliness drama. This is my second time staying here. Because I had bad experience about the day cleaning drama, I asked if my room can be cleaned the next day. Receptionist said that he would ask the duty manager. I was expecting room would be cleaned again but on the next day, my room is being untouched at all. Lack of caring to the guest!

The room was clean, cozy, and nice. The beds were good enough comfortable. The bathroom was clean and ergonomic albeit a bit small in size. But that is understandable. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

We’ve stayed here a few times. 25 minutes walk from the domestic terminal. The team are very friendly and for the price excellent value to stay here. The window blind needs repairing, but the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast options were excellent especially the coffee machine much higher quality than I expected. Everyone we came on to contact with were super friendly. Again great value for a quick overnight stay. There is even a paid laundry you can use.

Avoid staying here is you can and only stay here if you have to. I stayed here for 11 nights for a work trip. The rooms are dated and small. The freezer in the tiny fridge was frozen over and needed defrosting. The day I checked in the found a small bag of white powder next to my kettle. Not a huge deal but just showed that rooms were not cleaned and checked properly. Went and reported this to the "manager" at the bar and she just basically said "that's no good, and she will send someone up to wipe the benches down". She then just took out her phone, took a photo and posted it in, what I can only assume was some sort of work group chat to tell room service to clean the rooms better next time. All this was done if front of other customers which I found unprofessional. Went down stairs on a few occasions for a meal, once for breakfast and twice for dinner. The breakfast was $22 for a very average buffet. The atmosphere was also very average, on two occasions I had to ask another random guest (some lady in her 50) to stop shouting to her friend across the restaurant as staff were not doing anything about it. For dinner I first got a parmigiana which was so tiny it was embarrassing. The second time I went for dinner I had the fish and chips, this one I could not eat. The fish was old, clearly frozen, cheap fish for $26. The salad dressing also tasted off. Returned it and told management who didn't seem to care at all, no real apologies. Got a myself a refund and when next door to the Pullman hotel for dinner as their food was Amazing! I know this is just a 3 Star hotel but I believe this hotel could do better.

What you’d expect for 3 stars. Small rooms. Bed was comfortable enough. The bathroom was quite a cool design, made you feel like you were on a boat. Staff were not particularly friendly nor went out of their to assist you - in fact when I went down to reception to ask about food/drinks, the girl couldn’t even be bothered to look up from her phone to answer me. It did the job for a quick overnight stay before an international flight.

Clean, quiet 🤫 and friendly helpful staff. Nice dinner, and then breakfast before early flight next day! I have accidentally written a scathing review, meant for IBIS BUDGET hotel on Ross Smith Drive, stayed there overnight because of late time flight ✈️ into Sydney. The IBIS on O’Riordan Street is extremely good value, and CLEAN!!!

Was a good stay overall. Room was basic but functional. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Great for just a night’s layover. The soap dispenser was empty which was annoying but that could be easily rectified. Has a small fitness room for some cardio workout and a surprisingly nice diner with a comprehensive menu.

So the experience at checking in was good. It was late and the lady at reception was lovely. She gave us water and a card for welcome drink. The downside to this hotel is cleanliness. I think the hotel requires to change their entire carpet because it is so dirty. The couch/seat near the window has a whole, and it kind of smelled like urine in the room. I was definitely not impressed and quite disappointed. I understand ibis hotels are budget, however, with the price paid, I would’ve been able to get something more clean. The restaurant part looks good and clean, I had a coffee in the morning which was very nice.

Close to airport, I added the buffet breakfast for $1 person and was good. Rooms quiet , comfy bed but the lounge was unusable, needs replacing. Quick, easy meals for dinner available as not much else close by to eat.

Rooms are clean and neat. Budget friendly.. staffs are very helpful. Restaurant is there but the menu is limited. Stayed for a day and liked it.

Three star hotel, four 🌟star review. Make no mistake, Ibis Sydney airport represents a great 3 star hotel, expect a three star room and you'll love your stay. One of many hotels in very close proximity to the domestic terminal, if you only need 1 nights accommodation, this hotel is suburb for the price. Adequate size room for two people with small amounts of space for bags. Bathroom big enough to lift your arms and do a twirl, which was welcoming. All rooms with windows which open for fresh air. Air con individual units so can bring temperature up or down to suit your preference (ice cold baby) Restaurant downstairs with buffet breakfast. Hotel offers airport transfers to domestic or international for $10/pp. Domestic terminal within walking distance if fit and able bodied. Hotel staff super accommodating. Note: The sofa seat in my room had quite a lot of use from heavy set individuals - rendered the seat useless but made a good spot for the bags. Top tip: Ask for an internal room to help reduce some of the road noise as trucks operate 24 hours to the port.

Very low value for money - very small, dirty rooms at very high nightly rate. Rooms were very small, smelly, dirty linen, old towels, limited toiletries. Lack of security as lift had no resident-only access. Front desk staff was very courtious, allowed to use washing machine till oate, otherwise everything else was bad.

Arrived in Sydney late so stayed at the airport. Walked to the hotel which was a little further than expected but a comfortable walk on a lovely evening on paved footpaths (maybe about a 20minute walk). Busy weekend at the hotel but plenty of staff even though after 10pm and we checked in quickly. Even managed our complimentary drink in the bar before it closed. Also give cold water bottles which was appreciated. Room small but perfectly fine for an overnight stay and very clean also.

This is my second time staying here to make an early flight easier. The shuttle bus is quick and efficient, and the hotel meets all the needs for a nights stay. I however wouldn't stay longer than that.

Very strong chemical smell in the lobby. Even though I booked direct I got a ground floor room. The rooms are renovated 70’s with the popcorn walls. The rooms originally had no bathroom, so they have put in fabricated plastic pods, like in a Campervan. You can hear the neighbours water running. Booked a queen room and the bed felt like a double. Bed was comfortable which was the only plus. Not worth the $170 I paid.

I needed a overnight stay between flights. Just somewhere with meals available so I did not have to hunt a restaurant down. I was getting in late afternoon and leaving early the next morning so I did not need flash amenities or big prices, just somewhere to rest my head for the night. The room was small but adequately appointed, clean and serviceable For Sydney thought it was good value for Money. There were friendly and helpful staff. Good priced breaky, the evening restaurant was good.

This is a great, simple, bang for your buck hotel. The rooms are quiet, clean and the beds are comfortable. Small bathroom but clever design (even had heating elements in the mirror so it doesn’t fog up) and the wood floor is a nice little touch. Little couch and table as well so you can do work or watch things on your laptop instead of the tv (it has a streaming function but only works with android devices and nowhere to plug in an hdmi cable). 1 Power point in the wall next to the bed has USB ports as well. Good 24/7 room service menu and also strong AC. Parking on site which is $30 per day. Overall, it’s nice, simple, clean and comfortable.

We had a great stay, the staff were amazing. We booked 2 rooms. The bed was so super comfortable, I slept amazing. The shower was great. The room super cosy. The bar was great at the end of the day topped off with a few plates of nibbles. The meals looked huge & appetising but we had eaten late in the city, so we were happy just to share some starter meals while we enjoyed a few drinks. The lady that was serving at the bar was lovely. We had an early flight so it was perfect location as it was a 4min drive to airport.

Alright hotel, Room was cozy and comfortable. Bathroom was great, friendly staff. Be aware as the room does tend to get very chilly at night but overall its pretty ok, great buffet breakfast with alot of selection on offer

Establishment is old and shows it. Carpets look as though they haven't been cleaned ever (cleaned not vacuumed). The air conditioner registers in the restaurant also were in need of major cleaning and the floor looked as though it had not been vacuumed in a week. Room was clean and fairly comfortable.

Good location but terrible room. No one cleand the toilet and the was so terrible and smelly. Welcome to the pee room, the smelling will be with you for all night. You won’t never ever ever feel lonely:)

Trying to order room service, restaurant doesn't answer the phone, so i call reception to ask, no one at reception answered either. Please make answering your phones a priority, overall close to airport, its quiet and staff are quick to assist except by phone.

Just What you need when you have to be close enough to the airport, wouldn’t recommend it for longer stays. The room was fine, although it didn’t feel exactly neat (one of the glasses they put there for you wasn’t well washed). Breakfast was ok, many options. They offer a shuttle to the airport for a fair price that arrived on time and leaves you at the international airport in approximately 25 minutes. It is at a 20-minute walking distance from the T2 domestic terminal, so be aware of that if you’re carrying heavy luggage

Room - Styled like a cruise ship with it's bathroom seemingly slotted into the room in a corner in a prefab form. It is very well appointed and works well. Very comfortable bed with crispy sheets. There's a small mini fridge to store a drink or two and some snacks. My room looked over the road to offices across the way so no view to speak of but enough. Service - The staff was very friendly and attended to our every need with smiles all around. They were very knowledgeable and efficient. Location - It's a longish walk from Mascot train station and access public transport with large bags but if you have a wheeled suitcase it wouldn't matter too much. There isn't any views of the runway or airport so to speak even though we're quite close to the airport. Overall - Very comfortable place to stay for what we needed a place to sleep and that's about it as there was much exploring to be done in and around the city of Sydney. The advantage of this hotel by far is it's proximity to the airport allowing for minimal effort for transport to the airport to catch those early flights.

Comfortable and reasonably priced. Could do with more staff as waiting was a minus. They need at least one extra pillow per room. Staff were polite and competent but due to only being one person in reception were overwhelmed at times. Has a good shuttle service. Restaurant was ok with basic fair.

  • 4/5 Brigett T. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms are small but they are well set out. They made the most of the space they had available. The bed was really comfortable and pillows perfect. They don't have room service but you can call down to order and pick up your food from the restaurant to take to your room. And the food was great, certainly worth the trip downstairs.

I stopped by here for a travel. This is an airport hotel. I was supposed to arrive to the international airport, but I arrived to domestic and decided to walk to the hotel instead of taking the bus per information and bus drivers suggestion. I didn't realise that was the best choice. Ibis is walking distance to the domestic terminal. The airport shuttle is ten dollars a service. Which kind of makes the airport hotel kind of odd. The rooms were clean and the hotel staff was courteous. I also liked that the hotel is on the train line of you want to discover Sydney Central station during your lay over.

Great room, very comfortable bed. This food is superb with many choices. The staff are very friendly and helpful and all in a short walk from the airport... or you can take the free shuttle bus..!

We always find this to be great value (Accor members) basic accommodation walking distance from the domestic airport. Good service and food is nice. Great option for sleeping after a flight or before departure. Basic 3 star accommodation.

I would unfortunately like to express my disappointment on our recent stay. Upon our arrival after a 5 hour drive, we discovered that our air conditioner was not working and had an error. I phoned reception from our room which I was hung up on. I then went downstairs to see the reception staff to express my concern that the aircon was not working, it was suggested that a maintenance member would attend ASAP. Upon the maintenance inspection, we were greeted with a pedestal fan & our aircon was in fact not serviced (it was also full of dust build up, so no wonder it had an error). The reception staff mentioned that we were to open the window as the weather was starting to cool down. I mentioned that this was not an acceptable response as I am quite pregnant (with twins). I then asked for an upgraded room, this was not able to be done as there was no vacancy. I also asked for two more fans for my fellow guests and the response was 'we have no more fans'. The second night was an awful stay, it was hot and none of us slept very well. Upon checkout, I requested a refund, the lovely lady said she would pass on to her manager. The manager told me she was in no position to grant a refund but instead she could waive our parking fee of a lousy $60, I declined this offer. The manager said she would have someone higher up contact me within a few working days & it has now been 2 weeks and I am yet to hear from anyone. I have also expressed this in an email direct with no response.
