We booked a few rooms to accommodate our big families. Standard family room, standard studio, deluxe family room and apartment 301. Rooms were spacious, clean, well fitted and restocked daily. Breakfast was good enough for us and convenient for our stay. All this for great value along with the amazing staff from the beginning to the end. Great communication and very welcoming. Parking free and so convenient on-site and offsite. Very close to everything, station 7/11, chemist, cafes etc. The default would be not staying long enough πŸ˜”. I would recommend staying here and we cannot wait to book again. Thanks again πŸ’―πŸ‘ŒπŸ˜Š

Great location, affordable, clean, safe, with everything you need. Rooms are large and quiet. Plenty of continental breakfast and tea/coffee. Bathroom supplies/toiletries a bit scarce. Only shampoo/conditioner/body wash in one in the shower. Also hand wash in sink. No other toiletries but happy to bring my own. Free parking on site is great. Wonderful view overlooking Hyde Park and war memorial. Little Juliette balcony is nice to open the door and let fresh air in. Air conditioning works well. Small table and chairs for eating near the balcony was nice. Staff are very courteous. Small kitchen has a little fridge, kettle, toaster etc. Was a great place for a few days stay. Cleaning staff were very good.

Location is perfect for those wanting to be close to Oxford St or Hyde Park. Staff are friendly and always great to interact with. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Car parking on site is tight for larger vehicles, though free secure off site parking is available as an alternative.

Absolutely fantastic! Great location. Big spacious rooms and friendly staff!! Travelled with friend who is in a wheelchair and the disabled room is perfectly accessible, spacious and bathroom designed perfectly. Best accessible room that we have found in all our travels. Highly recommend this hotel for those who require accessible access as well as to anyone else who wants a large room in a great location at an extremely good price.

Wonderful experience. Staff were exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. We had a disability room which was very spacious with views of the park. Very clean and modern. No complaints at all.

A clean spacious room in a great location at a reasonable price. Within walking distance of most of the CBD. One word of warning is about the included parking. The give a maximum vehicle height of 1.9m however a maximum length and width should also be mentioned. I had a horrible time manoeuvring my Mitsubishi challenger into my designated spot and I dread trying to back out tomorrow

An enjoyable stay. The rooms were modern and the photos depict exactly how our room was. Parking included was great and we could stay parked until 5pm on day of check out. The bed was super comfy. We had an eighth floor room with nice park views. Super central to everywhere.

The Budget Queen Room at Hyde Park Inn Sydney was absolutely dreadful! The "free light Continental breakfast" was just two pieces of toast wrapped in glad wrap, a little milk, a little fruit cup, four biscuits, some butter, some tea and some sugar (disgusting and disgraceful). The bathroom/shower was the smallest thing I have ever seen with hardly enough space to even dry yourself. It didn't even have a exhaust fan in the vanity area. To say this was a let down is an extreme understatement. The final straw was using the bowls to eat our own bought cereal, which the cleaners just left, unwashed when we returned. Once we notified them at reception, the next time we used any of the cutlery, they just left a used bottle of detergent in what I believe was an expectation to wash them ourselves, in a room that doesn't have nor include a kitchenette. DISGRACEFUL AND DISGUSTING! Don't stay here in this hotel. It was the worst I have ever been to and that's including other countries of much lesser means. THE WORST!!!!!!

The worse customer service I’ve experienced in my life. Firstly when I ask to speak to the Manager his unavailable. Not to ask if I’d like to leave a message. Next minute Shivanni threw down the phone on me. Unbelievable this front of house service. OMG, so many people looking for work. These are the people Hyde Park Inn has answering the phone. I am shocked and very upset by the way I just been treated….

I stayed in Hayde park inn for two days. Amazing location, in the centre of Sydney’s CBD. The rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly. The hotel provides a light in room breakfast.

I have stayed here 3 times since 2020 and have enjoyed the experience each time. The location is unparalleled, it is right in the city, opposite Hyde Park with a convenience store and pharmacy literally next to it. The best feature that I really appreciate is the free parking. Public transport is also easily accessible. The room is spacious, with a kitchenette and balcony overlooking the park. Storage in the closet and drawers are plentiful as are power points which is handy for charging of mobiles, tabs, cameras etc. The only improvement is for housekeeping to replenish the shower gel before it gets almost empty as we need to ask them for this to be done. Other than that, the stay was perfect!

Reception staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable and we had a view over Hyde park. Which was very nice as compared to elsewhere where your view is looking at other highrise buildings. We found the location was easy to get to light rail, train and buses. Overall we were very happy.

Great centrally located close to all Sydney has to offer, either on foot or by public transport. Lovely spacious and clean room, filled with all the features one would expect in a hotel of this grading. Staff were friendly and informative.

What a fabulous hotel with great prices in a great location. If you book early enough in advance you can also secure yourself a free carpark. A free light breakfast of toast, cereals and fruit is provided daily. They also have an onsite laundry you can use too. I'll definitely be back to stay.

Although clearly and older hotel the rooms are really nice, we had a deluxe room. The service was excellent however and the staff extremely helpful. The location is fantastic too.

Convenient location. Shopping, clubs, pubs and restaurants etc all easy walking distance from hotel. P/T accessible with Museum Train Station just across road, or easy 15 min walk to Central station. Rooms were neat/tidy 3 star rating. Reception staff efficient.

I enjoyed my stay. Room had everything we needed and it was great to have free parking. Breakfast simple but adequate. Great location within walking distance of a lot of attractions.

It's an older hotel, but I love that feel. Right across from the park and not overly busy at that time. Beautiful balcony views. My biggest complaint is the SMALL car park. Even match box cars would have hard time getting in and out. A bit scary

Hyde Park Inn was a little gem and exactly what we were looking for in a hotel for our city break. Great location, neat and tidy room with a queen and a single bed, kitchenette, decent size. Was a great base for us and walking distance to Capitol Theatre and other Sydney attractions. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again for our next Sydney trip.

Honestly, this hotel is one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed at, with it being at such a reasonable price too! Even more convenient that it is located right across the road from Museum Train Station. Definitely staying here again.

Amazing location- central to everything right across the road from the Anzac Memorial. Lots of things To explore in this beautiful leafy green area and is located right opposite a train station which is super convenient. A 20min stroll to the harbour and everything else is a short stroll away. No pool located in this hotel. Room was spacious and accommodated 5 of us wonderfully. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. Only thing to mention that can use improvement is the cleanliness of our room - could have been better cleaned prior to our arrival. A great stay overall, would stay here again.

We booked a Deluxe Studio when attending the NRL grand final and were very happy that we did. Getting in from the airport by train was a breeze, out of the Museum station and across the road and we are at our accommodation. The room had a queen and a single bed, a small kitchenette, a small balcony that overlooked Hyde Park and the Anzac Memorial (beautiful at night) with Darling Harbour in the distance. The bathroom was perhaps on the smaller side but was still okay. Everything we could ask for in the room. Room 114 was opposite the lift but we weren't bothered at all by any noise. The room is pretty much soundproof once doors/windows are shut and air con was good. Location can't be beaten - Museum station across the road (underground), buses up around the corner, walk to Woolworths a few blocks away. Walk down the hill to Darling Harbour. Staff were very friendly and we got a later check out to suit our plane departure. No pool though. Definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Nice room, soundproofing on the windows and doors and comfy beds. We had a kitchenette, which was convenient but the rangehood hadn't been cleaned in its life as it was thick with goo.

I highly recommend staying here. The location is great, get an Opal card and you can go anywhere at a reasonable price. The bed was very comfortable. It was spotlessly clean. Everything was excellent, including the price. We were able to leave our luggage until we had to catch our plain.

The location is fantastic, right in the city and easy walking distance to everything including trains. The hotel also has complimentary car parking, so that in itself is a winner. The staff are friendly and helpful, the price is good for being right in the city. The rooms are a little dated, but still very clean and fresh. My room was large and had a view of Hyde Park. Overall I would give it 4 1/2 stars location perfect and 24 hr complimentary parking, in my mind that's a winner.

Wonderful staff who are friendly, efficient and thorough. The room were clean and spacious. What a wonderful surprise to have breakfast included in the rooms with so many choices. The location is great with amazing views and close all the big sites. Would definitely stay here again!!

Hyde Park Inn is fabulous from start to finish. The staff are more than helpful and polite, the rooms are amazing and so very, very clean. The added extra of continental breakfast and the amazing view of Hyde Park just add to the 5 star rating. I would give it 10 stars if I could. I have been staying there for many years, ever since it was a Zebra Motel in the 1970s and it has always kept up its excellent rating. I love it!

A perfect central Sydney stay for our family of five. The room was spacious and clean, with all we needed for a simple breakfast in our room each day. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again when we're next in the city.

Very comfortable, nicely decorated large room. Fantastic view over Hyde Park from the 12th floor. Very clean, quiet and well equipped. Free parking on site was a total bonus and Ashley was very helpful over the phone when we booked. All the staff were helpful for that matter.

Room stunk of lamb fat from previous occupant for the whole stay Microwave had a glass of water in it and all internal surfaces where wet. Guess that was an unfinished effort to clean it. Rooms had not been cleaned. Had to wipe all surfaces down myself. Food on most surfaces and one cupboard full of bread crumbs. Hairs on surfaces and in bath. Floor with visible food and marks, and sticky to walk on. Clearly had not been mopped and was not mopped during stay. Old food from previous occupants was still in fridge and some of this was used to make up the supplies for the next day breakfast left later in the day. No tea or coffee making supplies in kitchen when we arrived Carefully check the date on milk they leave in the fridge for the included breakfast to avoid pouring yoghurt into you morning cuppa like I did. Milk in fridge when we arrived had next day expiry and was for the next day. When I asked for it to be changed was told "no" as was still in date ATM? Forget the car parking unless you have a micro car. The onsite parking is too small for even a mid size sedan. The off site parking has a 1.90m height limit and requires 3 point turns to get around in it so good luck with that as well. Certainly don't expect to park an SUV or full size sedan. Your guests are not likely to be driving tiny city cars so why? The "deluxe"? family room was worn, furniture all chipped. The Dark brown carpet made the room dark and dingy. The only windows face a view of the internal void used for a mass of ventilation infrastructure and there is a continual loud sound of the fans and motors running. Staff at reception were friendly. Coffee and food in the My Coffee Room nearby is good value and serves good strong hot coffee.

Good little hotel, great location (opposite rail so easy from airport), very friendly helpful staff, big room but could use a little TLC. Room was big and spacious with a small kitchenette that suited us 3 adults for 3 nights. Unfortunately though we had roaches out of floor waste, and on bench when returned to room. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan and could use an upgrade. Good resto downstairs and a great little coffee shop on the street next door. Don't get me wrong, apart from those couple of issues, due to its proximity and price I would stay again.

Staying at the Hyde Park Inn has, as always, been a wonderful experience. We stayed for one week. The staff are very professional, helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and spacious. It is a bonus that we can prepare light meals for ourselves without the need to dine out every evening. This place is wonderful and will be sadly missed by many who have stayed here over the years as it will soon cease to exist. The new development was inevitable I suppose. All the best for the future to the hard working management and staff. .

We were really happy with everything about Hyde Park Inn. Our room was good and perfect layout for our family. Good sized kitchenette and view over Hyde Park. Great location, easy walk to everything. Great value for the room plus free parking and laundry. I’d definitely stay again.

The lady on thw front desk was lovely, chatty and really helpful. Great location with everything in walking distance. Room was nice and big and comfy beds. We were surprised at how quiet it was given the location. Great continental breakfast included. Rooms not 100% tidy and could do with some updating and our soap dispenser in the shower didn't work. but all in all we had a great night here.

It was in a great location to the Downing centre courts. Loads of cafes and restaurants. Hyde Park at the doorstep. Free parking huge bonus for long stays. Bit knocked about kitchen a bit ordinary but had an awesome balcony for fresh air. Awesome night view. We'd use it again πŸ‘

Location, location, location. Great view of the park. Busy road though. Large room with bathroom, kitchenette, dining area and standing balcony. Best is it doesn't smell of smoke or mould. It's fairly clean room. Towels smell funny. Parking is limited but available if you get in quick. Buses and transport close by. Everything in walking distance. Italian restaurant downstairs. Food, Chemist Warehouse and convenience store close by to.

Very clean, very accommodating, would defiantly stay there again! Great size rooms and comfy beds. Just a tad loud but that's not on them. Also great views of the park!

  • 2/5 Virginia S. 1 year ago on Google
Very expensive! We were charged $240 for a basic room (the website called it a suite) for two with no luxuries and no toiletries. Just one bottle of cheap shampoo on the wall in the shower recess which was hard to dispense. We had to request soap and an extra towel because one of us needed to wash our hair and only one was provided each. The biggest issue regarding this hotel is the complete lack of security! We returned to the hotel after the show to find that the front door was open, there was no security and no front desk staff present and we were able to press the lift button to access all floors without needing a card! Very frightening for two women!!

We had a lovely stay here for world pride and even got an upgrade to a better room with a view of the park and kitchenette. This was such a great central location for the city and events in the domain and Oxford street. The breakfast in the morning was small and simple, however the price was reasonable compared to other locations. This isn’t 5 star by any means but the on-site parking made this a great economical option, plus the ability to cook for the fam it was perfect.

  • 5/5 Paul B. 1 year ago on Google
Great location, you can wander through Hyde Park to the Botanical Gardens with great views of the harbour bridge and the opera house. The room was a reasonable size, just be aware not all of them have proper windows, mine had frosted windows into a small internal courtyard and was quite dim, but didn't really bother me. Breakfast is yoghurt, juice, cereal and bread in the fridge, the room has a toaster though.
