Location 5* - Food 3* - Service 1* - Quality Price 2*. In enchanting setting of the famous salt pans of Marsala in front of the windmill, this restaurant will let you be a part of one of the best known pictures of Sicily. Now let's talk about the food, it tastes good but it is not what you would expect to find in a place like this. Given that this area is famous for local fish products ( prawns, tuna and their derivatives), the menu doesn't give you any of these options and the tuna salad is made with Tuna purchased in the supermarket... WHAT THE HELL... are you serious? - Now let's talk about the customer service. My friends and I who are not from abroad were treated with disdain by the restaurant staff even by the manager. Not acceptable, don't forget the main rule, customer is the king, without discrimination. The only one who deserves my compliments is the guy who spilled the coffee on my wife and he was truly sorry - thank you. The other senior waiter made fun of him in front of us very cowardly, never do that. Now last judgment - place good only for breakfast or a spritz, as Sicilian I suggest you to have your lunch somewhere else.

Tourist trap! Completely rude service! The hostess is the most impolite person I’ve ever seen in my life! The sunset is amazing, but nearby are better places not so touristic!

5 stars for the location, 1 star for the service and value for the money. The aperitivo is awful: 10 euros for a glass of wine, cheap chips, salty olives and peanuts. Their trick is to charge for an aperitivo even if you just get a glass of wine. Stuff is pretty lost or bored. If not for the location and the sunset it would be awful.

Perfect place, great atmosphere, incredible views to the Mills and sunset. The food and drinks I can't describe how good are. If you have time take the boat to sunset.

I really don’t know from where to start. I used to come here years ago for its atmosphere, food and of course to admire the gorgeous sunset. Things have changed, for the worst. First of all… it a tourist trap now. The aperitivo was 10 euros and what you get for it is shameful ( and plus they bring chips which you have to pay separately without even asking). Cocktails are far from good and we didn’t even get what we ordered. Staff is lost, and the atmosphere is just not there anymore… even the new look of the bar doesn’t fit the scenery. I really don’t know how this place went from being great to very very very bad. Will never go back

It doesn't look posh but this fish restaurant is exceptional. In fact, in my opinion, the best seafood restaurant in Sicily. It opens in Winter at 7pm and is located on the first floor. The dining area is simple and small. The fish however is excellent and worth the wait. We had swordfish and croacker. Most people visit the ground floor open area to the restaurant, taking a drink or two and watching the sun set over the sea and salt pans. Several old windmills that used to pump salt sea water from one pan to another still remain in the sea - giving a joyous evening view. There is free parking very close to the restaurant.

Very touristic place to see the sunset. We booked a table but was worthless as people jump on top of you to take photos. Service was terrible and so the food

Had pasta here after a tour of the salt plains. Quality of the pasta was pretty good but a bit overpriced IMO. Also, for coperto charge of 3 Euros per person we were not even offered bread, which every other table had...felt a little ripped off by this...

If there are 10 most beautiful places in the whole world than Mammacaura is one of the 3 best! The well organized Restaurant serves excellent food and the waiters are well educated, correct and experienced to convins international guests in the best way! The Patron and his wife observes continuously with human behavior the activities and support their Service. I would like to point out that every invoice is handle correctly with official print out and TVA visibility. Thats a very positiv Benchmark in Sicily. Thanks a lot vor one of our best Diner in Sicily!

Horrible place! The waiters were extremely rude, we ordered food and it came with dirty hair. Seemed like we had to beg to be serviced. Would never recommend this place to someone! Save your time and money going elsewhere.

Beautiful views at sunset! Very special location. The bar felt poorly managed, staff is lost and some are very rude. If you go for aperitivo in summertime, expect to wait unnecessarily (many tables are available but they are kept to possibly create some trepidation, hype and “exclusivity”) for 45 min. Our Cocktails didn’t come together, were basic, one was not available (after we waited for c.a. 20 min), nibbles were very basic - all for 15 Eur. It was not worth the hassle. Maybe worth booking way in advance for a 30 Eur proper aperitivo. I will not be back so soon.

The location is amazing, being there during the sunset is a great experience, unfortunately the food and the service are not worth your time and money. I went there for dinner so I will not comment about their cocktails. The menu only partially reflects what Sicily can offer. The choices are honestly so poor that we were really disappointed. The two pasta dishes we ordered were way below average quality and taste. The wine glasses were dirty, when I asked for a replacement the new ones were even dirtier. So at the end maybe a lovely place for a cocktail but definitely not recommended for dinner.

Great place to stop by when road tripping through Marsala. It was a suggestion from our driver and did not disappoint. The pasta and seafood were fresh and delicious. And the breeze on the large covered patio made for a refreshing afternoon respite. The menus are also in English which was helpful for our group.

Really nice view but haven’t enjoy the experience. Went there, was fully booked but they said we could wait for 30’ and get a table. We waited and took a cocktail from the bar (mixologist was super nice and cocktail super good!) then went looking for the sunset. The waitress call us and we went for a table, we asked for the menu, waited 10 minutes then asked again to another waiter, the same waiter that we asked at the beginning came back and told us that the menu was coming, we waited another 5 minutes and decided to leave. What a shame because it could have been a better experience with the landscape.

Good food (even for us as vegetarian and vegan). They were understaffed but very friendly. Nice place with reasonable prices.

Wonderful place, definitely worth few hundred kilometres for sunset…

😐 Overall a good experience at the Antica Trattoria da Pino. I have worked, travelled & eaten in Italy for more than 25 years and the quality of the food has definetly dropped in recent years & it has become more challenging to find good restaurants. 🫤 Personally I wouldn’t recommend. Ordered a large salad to share and it was tiny. Also for me pizza was very cheesy (too much). Ordered a seafood pizza and minimal topping to account for the extra cost. 2.50 euro service per person also just fyi. I’ve eaten in much better places in Sicily.
