Not open 2-7pm despite what it said, save yourself a very hot walk

I'm giving this a 5 star because it's a little treasure. Unfortunately it's clearly under appreciated and underfunded. It is well worth a visit. €4 for some incredible mosaic and a brilliant example of a Roman ship displayed in a way you can walk through. Please visit and support this little gem as it could do with an injection of funds and since the top 1% are unlikely to donate; an increase in visitors would definitely help.

Pretty cool salvaged and reconstructed shipwrecks. Various other naval items on display, worth a quick visit if you're in the area.

Unfortunately I can't say its worth the money. Maybe free entrance or symbolic like 1€ would change the rating to higher but for me it was not worth it. The building is very small, toilets are disgusting and smell really bad. The worst part is outside because lawn was very neglected, grass was very high and you would never know what can jump out of it, there were a lot of lizards everywhere. The signs are poorly deployed so you don't really know if there is something interesting there or not . Definitely can't recommend, maybe if the outside would be more taken care of. Instead of nice time we were terrified and had to very fast find the way inside. From good side the boat is worth seeing

Pretty spectacular museum of you consider what they’re actually doing and working on. Things over 2000 years old. The two ships they’ve recovered thus far (at least in part) are really impressive to think about. The architecture from so long ago was still great. There’s also a lot of history about the city and the ruins underneath that used to be the city. 4€ per person, well worth the price of admission.

Personale gentile e competente. Pet friendly. Location fantastica. Unfortunately there are a lot of rubbish in the surroundings as always and everywhere in Sicily. Marsala is the most beautiful town in the western Sicily. It worth a visit.

Amazing experience! One of the most amazing roman museums I've ever visited, with great presentation and for a very cheap price! A must visit!

This museum is very much worth stopping at. Far exceeded expectations. The ship which is the main attraction is well presented but there is much more to this museum. Numerous artifacts dating back centuries BC. Large grounds with ancient site. Paths are easy to walk and artifacts well described. Very inexpensive entry fee.

Inside is excellent, with english explanations. The outside areas feels abandoned and not interesting. In summer I would go in the late afternoon.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful experience, if you pass by Marsala I recommend you to see it. If you are an architecture student you don't pay the ticket, I recommend the green pass, they perfectly observe the laws, I suggest you visit it in a period where there is not much sun to see the excavations.

(Translated by Google) Really complete museum. In addition to the remains of the Punic ship there is really a lot, both in the rooms and outside. In fact, I suggest not stopping only at the museum, but also taking a nice walk up to the Roman peak. (Original) Museo veramente completo. Oltre ai resti della nave punica c'è veramente tantissimo, sia nelle sale che esteriormente. Suggerisco infatti di non fermarsi al solo museo,a farsi anche una bella passeggiata fino all'insùla romana.

(Translated by Google) I gave only three stars because if the part of the finds and the rooms of the ships are well maintained and with the possibility of multimedia explanations, especially for the descriptions and findings of the Punic ship, the state of almost abandonment in which they are found leaves much to be desired. the remains of the ancient city. I do not think herbs and shrubs on the finds, deteriorated descriptions, protective constructions made on the ancient mosaics are the ideal setting for this corner of history.

The staff was very unfriendly to us, as non Italians. They did not even say hello when we came in and didn't even try to help us understand anything. We felt like a burdon to them, disrupting their coffee break. The museum is modern from the inside, but a disaster from the outside. We would not recommend it to anyone.
