Amazing experience for a family! It was a wonderful rain day activity for our family. We loved it! SO diverse in the type of knowledge to be learned. Also many activities for the kids and honestly cost efficient for family entertainment. We ate lunch before we went, so we didn't have that added expense.

We spent an entire day here. We were able to get through all of the exhibits, inside and out. Well worth the admission price, even if you have to drive a few hours to get there. I think there is literally something there for everyone. The kids especially liked the giant slide. All the employees we interacted with were both knowledgeable and very nice. We will definitely be back again. If you are planning to visit, arrive early to maximize the time you have there, you will need it. NOTE: Stand in the center of the inflated dome that looks like the moon, the acoustics are wild.

My son was lucky enough to go to Discovery Park with his class before school was out. Being 7 he was overwhelmed by all there is to see and didn’t really enjoy the whole park because of the whole elementary school being there. The last week of school before summer break he and I sat down and wrote down a bucket list of things to do this summer while he’s off. Number one on his list was to revisit the Discovery Park with his mom and dad. We chose a Tuesday that has cool weather and dry. And we were rewarded with the greatest weather to walk outdoors across the whole property exploring every inch of the property. His favorite place was the Children’s discovery garden where he made new friends and played for hours on the jungle gyms and zip lines. Once inside the discovery centers main building, he was able to have his hands on everything that he couldn’t before because there were not a dozen visitors on each level. The Native American display was so impressive, the classic and antique car collection was magnificent. The war section was very informative. The children are inspired every where in the main building. So much excitement in the voices of the children as well as grownups. They have two different food courts from which to choose from. Quite an experience for all. I highly recommend everyone visit soon.

Family fun for everyone: hubby and I and 4 kids ranging from 15 to 7 years of age. We all had a good time! Large facility, indoor and outdoor exhibits. Large outdoor area, if you had a little one, you might want a stroller. No outside food or drink, but the Sabin’s cafe inside the Discovery Park was reasonably priced and kid friendly food, including salad and other healthier options in a cold case. The exhibits were really well done, the staff were kind and helpful and we especially enjoyed Taylor the Rock Guy! We stayed almost the whole day and still didn’t see everything. The price of admission, without adding any of the extras (there was enough to do without the simulators) was acceptable, especially for 6 hours of fun. The only exhibit we didn’t get to enjoy was the outdoor maze, the trees weren’t planted yet. The train was super cool. The rocket with its launch buttons were a favorite of my kids. I didn’t get a picture of the giant human slide! They wanted to do that more than once. So many cool things to experience, see, and enjoy!

Great place!! We was there bout 5 hours and seen everything except for the special attractions. We was outside and it was hot but just about every building we went in except for the old time cabins had air conditioning so it really gave us a way to cool off along the way. It wasn't crowded we wasn't rushed to the next building. It was a great experience for the kids they loved it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. Well worth the money!!!

Never did I expect such an amazing place in western Tennessee!! We could have spent days here but only had one. We made the best of it. Enjoyed many of the exabits, focusing on the outer space, then the old town. The trains were fun and the gardens were beautiful. Inside they had a lot of hands on exhibits with science. nature, history! All of the exhibits were well maintained and the staff was very attentive and friendly. The kids were amazed every step of the way and we cant wait to get back soon.

What an awesome place! We took our 4 year old, and he had a great time, so did we! We spent about 3 hours there and didn't quite get to see everything. If you have an EBT card, you get in free with up to 3 people. There's something for everyone there. The antique car collection is really cool. They have plenty to see and do inside as well as outside. We'll definitely be going back to see what we missed last time. Great place!!

55 acre grounds. Can definitely spend more than one day looking and playing. Great for all ages! Plenty of hands-on playing for kids and historic presentations for elderly visitors. Elevator and escalators make it easy to go up and down floors, or you can take the huge slide! Nice, clean playground area outside to run off extra energy as well.

Actually I’ve been here a couple of times. There’s so much to see. It’s quite an interesting museum build with all different kinds of artifacts. The outside is really unique with all different kinds of exhibits throughout the year. They say that Christmas is the best. I know that they have concerts during the summer. Definitely worth a visit or two.

This place was amazing! It was like walking through time for myself and it was a blast for the children! There was so many interactive things to do for the children and adults too! I would definitely recommend for anyone to go here! Yes there is a lot of area to cover and your feet will get tired, lol, but to me it was so worth going to see! They offer other attractions that you pay separately for but it's worth it to have fun and they also have a wonderful gift shop and food is quite good! Although I will say they are a little pricey but so worth it to see so much history! I would love to go again myself, we walked around several times and always found something we didn't see the first time!

It's a great place to take the kids, very educational and fun too. The gardens were beautiful. I went with a school field trip and there were several other schools there too. It didn't seem super crowded, there was so much to see. I would definitely go back again. The food was good, basic fare but a little pricey.

This place was amazing! It was updated and the layout was easy to navigate and was super exciting, the exhibits were interesting and informative.. I took 4 kids ages 4-8 and they all found something to love! I will be returning in the spring/summer so we can further enjoy the heritage park.. wished I lived a little closer because the family yearly membership is very affordable!

Totally awesome and worth the hour drive!! The place was sooooo big we didn't even get to see the 3rd floor where all the great kid interaction stuff is. Lol we barely flew through all the stuff we did. Definitely a repeat adventure.. A repeat adventure. (See what I did there) The interactive rocket launch rocked my kids world!!! And mine too!!! See you again soon!!

Love this place! So much to do you can't really finish it all in one day! Definitely go up in the tower, the view is amazing! The outdoor play area is wonderful for kids, the train part is super cool and the have a giant slide inside for kids and the young at heart! Great place to spend a day as a family.

this is an amazing place to let kids play in a safe, easy to venture facility. with it being indoors and outdoors, its great for any day. This place is well funded by amazing and generous donors, run by passionate caring people and visited by so many people from everywhere. I get to call this town and museum home. my family loves it! we have the membership passes, which is a great was to contribute donations while having access to an amazing indoor park with so much to do with families of all backgrounds. I've seen masses of children coming in for field trips. they are all so proud and happy to be there and the teachers are stressed but the love I see and the happiness they show to see their kids' enthusiasm. that being said, please don't be rude when these kids are running a playing in front of you, this may be some of their only chance to be there. this is a safe place to let kids play and *run (to a point), that's what there to do, just like you and yours.

Such an incredible place to visit with the whole family. There is so much to explore, so it would be good to plan to visit multiple days. Our kiddos loved the dinosaurs and the rocket the most! There is an aviation exhibit, 3D educational films, natural history of TN, and so much more. Wish we had, had time to explore the little village around the museum as well.

Went with my 5 year old son and he had a blast. Lots of school field trips happening but still ply of room to move around. Paid extra to go to the tower (unlimited access) it’s a beautiful view and helps to get a layout of the park.

This was the place we went for my daughter's 3rd grade field trip and the experience was amazing. There are so many cool things to see and do. Us getting bored wasn't even an option. This is a place I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to experience the past, present, and future all in one place.

Very eclectic but interesting museum and park. Plan on spending 2-3 hours to get it all in. To be honest the outside was better than the inside as a lot of the exhibits are something you probably have seen elsewhere. The outside is also eclectic with everything from a train station with a few cars to explore to a replica frontier town. Also has some amazing metalwork sculptures throughout and a transplanted chapel. Don’t bother buying the “geodes” in the store though, they are just solid rocks.

This is a great museum featuring exhibits both indoors and outdoors. When you visit you will learn about subjects dating from pre-history all the way up through several historic periods and on to the present. It would be hard to see everything there in just one day if not impossible. The mix of interactive exhibits, more traditional exhibits, animal habitats, and educational media there all make the Discovery Park of America a good way to spend the day for people of all age groups.

Nice place to bring kids. Went for native American event/powow, but the event hadn't set up completely, even though Friday was listed as one of the days. that's why it's 4 stars not 5. Otherwise a really nice place for families

  • 5/5 Josh W. 3 years ago on Google
Great staff and facility. Kids loved it. There is a lot to see here so I'd plan for the entire 10-4 time frame to see everything without having to rush. Lots of history exhibits and reading and artifacts. Fun for anyone can be had here. Prices are good as well.

Absolutely fantastic!!!! Hands on for all ages. From trains to science to dinosaurs to full scale towns you can do and touch about anything. We had a blast. Way better than expectations

  • 5/5 Kyle L. 7 months ago on Google
What an amazing place. The testimonial they put on the website summed it up well about it being like your favorite rich uncle bringing back cool things from around the world and putting them in your yard. It was fun and great for all 4 of us and it's a phenomenal spot for all ages and backgrounds. We will be becoming annual members for sure.

5/5 stars for the most bewilderingly chaotic museum experience I’ve ever had The metal hypnotizing lawn art, the two replica Rosetta stones, the display case of replica skulls and like some seashells I guess, the bald eagle recording that plays every 30 seconds, the Rocky Horror church, the replica arc of the covenant, the shrines to politicians, the train/KKK founder exhibit, the replica medieval torture room, the fact that the entire building looks like Space Mountain and the Marietta Chicken had a baby. Thomas Jefferson, Abe Lincoln, Prometheus, Ronald Regan, Ayn Rand statues side by side gazing upon the sunset off center from the Vietnam memorial was a personal favorite. Whole staff was super nice and helpful and we spent probably 2hrs in conversations with staff members. Would like to see better animal handling from staff at animal encounters as they let toddlers poke at the snake continuously instead of controlling the crowd and allowing for 2 finger touches one at a time

I cannot say enough good things about this place! I had no idea how many things were included in the price of admission! They did an amazing job at having hand sanitizer everywhere. We were rarely around other groups of people, so it felt more like an adventure and less like you had to hurry because people were coming up behind you. There was such a wide variety of things to learn about, everyone in the family will be excited to go. We drove 2 hours to check it out and we will definitely make that trip again.

  • 5/5 Erica M. 3 years ago on Google
Visited in January, so the outside features weren't all open but it was still a super fun day for the family. We spring for the VIP passes but don't think it was really worth the extra cost. Will visit again when it's not freezing out so we can really enjoy all the outside features.

  • 4/5 bracken m. 3 years ago on Google
I only drove through the Christmas light display, so I am not reviewing the facility. The light display was well worth the price. It is a short display of lights compared to some, but for the price, it was well worth it. And in a year challenged with ways to enjoy your time but social distance, this was a very enjoyable reprieve.

If you are wanting a place to take your kids, or to ignite your inner kid, this is the place. Not just a one stop and done, there is enough here to fill a weekend! Homeschooling children should definitely come here on field trips! Good pricing and indoor and out door attractions. There is just too much to say about this place!
