My wife and I started our walk at about 10am this Thursday. We had the trail all to ourselves. It was cool and serenely quiet. By 11 the trail became quite busy but all nice cheerful people. It is a very flat and wide trail. Easy for walkers and wheel chairs

A lot of really beautiful trees, this place is really relaxing. Fun to go with family and friends and have a picnic.

Loved seeing these trees! The ranger at the gate was super helpful and there was nothing to disappoint us. The temperature on the trail dropped nicely. The trail was very well maintained and accessible for everyone in our party.

A very enjoyable experience to have. You can park on the shoulder outside of Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve, just do not block any private driveways. The thick canopy of trees brings much cooler temperatures. There are child friendly and accessible trails to tour for most of the visitors along with picnic tables surrounded by redwoods along with restrooms. The more strenuous hiking trails get you away from most people and offer great views of wildflower blooms, fern covered grounds and sounds of the wildlife.

The best memories from my little girl’s trip from Missouri to California were probably at the beach and the Armstrong Redwood trees. My daughter felt like she was walking through a movie set about an enchanted wilderness where only peace and magic come from. She skipped. Walking wasn’t good enough. The redwood grove brings out the best in children’s imaginations.

East ridge trail ery nice. Only saw six other people despite a full parking lot. Not surrounded by redwoods on this trail but they are around. There are redwoods everywhere on the lower trail that runs by the road. With waterfall trail closed, no clear signage on where to go at end of east trail. Ended up walking down the road.
