View was absolutely amazing!! And such a good hike up! If you go, there's a box at the top that has a notepad inside to write your name and the date you hiked it. Find it and sign it!

Really great peak despite the association with cannibalism. Fun to ski in winter and rock climb in summer

It's somewhat ridiculous to rate natural places, don't you think? Either you appreciate the outdoors, or you don't. That said, this is a moderately strenuous hike, that leads to great views from the top of Donner Peak. Definitely worth a trip.

Incredible hike, easy to snowshoe with a breathtaking view at the top. Easy to find your path and the reward is awesome. You also have Mount Judah right next to it. A lot of ski touring in the area.

Donner Peak is an amazing and beautiful place. It's a fun hike and not too difficult. There's another peek just across the way. Learn a little bit about the geology the place and you'll enjoy your visit more.

One of my favorite hikes in the Sierras! Awesome views from Donner Peak, and even better if you continue along the ridgeline to Mount Judah. Snow sticks around until at least early summer.

Gorgeous as long as the smoke isn't in the air! Parking can be crowded but once out on the trail it's not too bad. Beautiful climb all the way, don't forget to catch the Mt Judah loop too, views of Donner are spectacular.

Great summer hiking and winter skiing. Head up from the parking lot near the summit of Donner Pass Rd.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ I loved this trail. Took us to three beautiful lakes. I should bring my swimsuit and blow up donut next time! I had to use another app for navigation so the GPS cut out a couple times. Our hike was about 7.5 miles but we took a β€œshortcut” to make it a loop instead of going back the same trail. Would...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Had the most wonderful experience hiking this trail. It is absolutely breath taking and so quite. We took the walk right before sunset. It was a little chilly so bring a warm blanket or sweatshirt. Enjoy the scenery while hand in hand with that special someone. Perfect spot for a Date

πŸ‘ Great trail we loved the views and never had problems before… but 🚨BEWARE & BE VIGILANT of surroundings always!! We kept left on the trail up until the last chance to go left or right by the water. We took right to get to the water quicker and there was bags of trash, some sketchy older men, who a...

😠 Only $10 a night almost always a campsite available, except for major holidays. And gold panning fun, rafting, and swimming. Well, forget all that I said above. Now you have to make reservations and they have more than doubled the price per night. Plus they even charge you $8 on top for the pleasure...
