Fantastic hotel, lovely rooms, in an excellent location and the best part waking up to the smells from the bakery! We didn’t pay for bed & breakfast after reading a few reviews instead choosing to do our own thing, coffee and goods from the bakery are very reasonably priced so not expensive to have breakfast at the hotel or could go to some of the brilliant local cafes and coffee shops. We booed the Praktik Love package which was a nice touch and the late checkout good as we had a late flight out. Would recommend this hotel and look forward to trying some of the others in the Praktik family.

Location is good, room was clean and it was nice to have the bakery below. We really didn’t enjoy walking into the bathroom, which wasn’t private and had the only space to hang your clothes (but it’s not well ventilated). It was very clean and the bed was comfortable, but instead of a duvet cover there are two sheets around the duvet which was kind of gross. It feels like it’s about €20 a night too expensive, so wouldn’t stay again.

Well, it is always nice to try new places when traveling, but Praktik Bakery is so good that it became the official place for breakfast during all days of the trip. Everything is so well done and tasteful. Just go for it. The only thing I didn’t like very much was the toast, it is good, but not as all the other thinks I had there. Cheesecake, chocolate fondant, croissants and baguetes are unbelievable good.

The staff was super friendly, the room is small but very cozy and clean. Mine didn’t need any updating. Everything was working fine. I got a room with a window facing a small pedestrian street so I had no issues with noise during the night, except for the odd guest who let the door bang loudly when walking into their room. Location is great. And you do wake up to the sweet smell of bread! Overall experience was really good.

I LOVE this hotel. This is my new go-to place next time I'm in the city. 1. The rooms are beautiful, with lots of bright natural light and a comfortable toilet and bathroom area. 2. It's a great location: close to shopping streets, restaurants and public transport for easy mobility. 3. The bakery attached is delicious, cheap and always busy (which means people love it!). We had a super good breakfast with so much to choose from every morning. 4. The staff is friendly and helpful. It was easy to book an extra night and leave luggage behind while we went out exploring.

I love this hotel so much! The room was lovely, with a great shower. The staff is welcoming and very helpful. The location is great. Having the bakery in the lobby made this already super sweet hotel even sweeter. Their breakfast had everything we needed/wanted to get us started each day. And on our departure day we were leaving too early to have their breakfast, but they sent us off with hot, fresh out of the oven croissants and coffee. I will definitely stay here again. Thank you to the Hotel Praktik Bakery for giving us such a lovely stay in Barcelona!

What a great way to wake up to fresh baked bread every morning. The breakfast/lunch was fantastic although we just bought individual breakfast items and did not get the buffet. We took sandwiches from the bakery to picnic at Park Guell and Montserrat. The room was clean, quiet and had all of the necessities. This was my first stay in Barcelona but the location seemed to be great for everything we wanted to see.

We had a great experience at the hotel. The room was small, but efficiently designed. It's a hotel in a large city....it won't be huge. Check-in was quick and the person who checked us in was super helpful. She was just as friendly and helpful when we checked out, even though she was managing a LOT when we checked out. We got breakfast, which was more limited than the items for sale in the shop. Not a bad thing, necessarily. Watching the bakery activities while we had breakfast was fun. Waking up with the smell of fresh-baked bread in our room was BETTER! The hotel is very conveniently located for our stay in Barcelona. Just a great experience all around.

Excellent experience staying at Hotel Praktik Bakery. You absolutely can't beat the location - so close to different attractions, cafes, and public transit. The hotel staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The rooms are a bit small, but are comfortable, updated and clean. It was a treat to be woken up by the smell of fresh baked goods every morning. Definitely would stay here again - thank you!

This is not a co-living space!! I spent 2 months in this place and I'm very disappointed as this is not what I was expecting and feel mislead when I've made the booking. The service was rude, the common spaces always dirty and you will need to buy your own washing liquid, sponge and toilet paper! I don't recommend this place. I am putting one start for the room.

It was honestly one of the best stays we’ve had. The bakery is AMAZING! Everything so tasty especially the almond croissant. The room was small but had everything we needed and was clean. The hotel is full of life, and it’s close to the most famous monuments. The location was absolutely great!

Great boutique hotel! Waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread is literally the only way I want to wake up now. While the rooms are on the smaller side the location is great. One downside was being close to the school and hearing the kids playing outside and late at night hearing people outside near the street. It didn’t bother me too much but it’s something to consider when booking if that would bother you so you could ask for a room not facing the street. Otherwise I would recommend this hotel.

Compact but very clean rooms. Comfortable accommodation and wonderful reception staff . Simply appointed rooms . Being mingled with a bakery makes for an interesting stay and busy downstairs. I thought it was well located for what I wanted to do . Lots of places to eat nearby . There is a very good cake shop across the junction . If staying here try dinner at a superb restaurant called Teoric- short walk away ….

Great location Good quality 3* hotel Bedrooms are not big but bed are very comfortable. Shower is amazing The bedroom’s layout is only suitable to be shared with a very intimate person. Please put trash bags and toilet brushes inside bathrooms!!!!

Amazing boutique hotel with a bakery on the main level. The hotel is a 20-30 minutes walk to most attractions however is also located right beside the metro connecting you to all of Barcelona. The rooms are very clean and the service provided by staff is wonderful. Reception was always responsive and had everything available when needed. One night I asked for tea very late and was able to take a kettle upstairs to the room with a selection of teas. The bakery on the main level always had a fresh selection. Would recommend and will definitely return on my next trip to Barcelona.

Not sure if all, but some rooms are definitely on the older side and a bit dingy. They have a bit of an interesting set up with the bathroom and foyer all being one space. It’s doesn’t leave for a ton of privacy and the air circulation isn’t great so the walls retain a lot of moisture and look a bit rough. The shower is a nice big size though and the bed and pillow are fairly comfortable. The best part about this hotel is by far the location. It’s very central and convenient to get to and from, is close to many restaurants, walking distance to places like Familia Sagrada, and the convenience of having a lovely bakery on the ground floor is unmatched.

Never again. I hate writing bad reviews but I really wish someone would have been honest in the Google reviews, because I would not have chosen to stay here if they had been. So, here is my honest review, do with it what you would like. Check-in was excellent and the customer service is fantastic. The bakery is quaint and cute. Location is fine and there are some good restuarants around the area. However, I couldn't justify this with all the negatives of this place. The beds are rock hard and very uncomfortable, the walls are paper thin, and the room is very stuffy (can't even run the fan for the thermostat). Trust me when I say the walls are paper thin, you will hear everything from the noise in the courtyard, to your neighbors having sex and shaking the other side of your wall at 2AM (not opposed to people having sex I just prefer not to hear it), to the upstairs guests walking around, the other side of floor neighbors entore conversations, and any guests in the hallway coming and going. It is impossible to sleep here and very uncomfortable. I have never stayed in such an establishment and unfortunately wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve stayed here about 4 times now, I always choose here when I go to Barcelona. I think I almost always get the same room :) The rooms are very adequate for what you pay for, it’s clean, it’s quiet. My only marks would be that the toilet door is , well basically , they could just remove the door and the sound isolation from the rest of the room would be same. If you fart loudly be prepared for a holding a concert to your roommate ! :D And no mini-fridge, but I think it’s fine. The bakery at the floor level is amazing and it’s so nice to be greeted by it when you come down. The location couldn’t be more perfect if you are coming in to Barcelona for the first time.

Loved the bakery, but for the hotel and breakfast there is still room for improvement. The room facilities were good, but especially the cleaning in the bathroom needs to be done better. They were very noisy; you could hear everything from the hallway and you could hear the bakery downstairs. Check-in took very long. We had booked 4 rooms, and we had received a link for a self-check-in beforehand, but the link didn’t work. Therefore, it took at least 10-15 minutes until we could go up to our rooms. Breakfast had very good quality of products, but it was lacking in warm dishes and service. Tip; don’t put a cart for dirty dishes in the eyesight of your guests. It looks shabby to eat a croissant while you’re looking at the food leftovers from the guest before you. Overal; okay experience but would pick a different hotel the next time.

The hotel is above a bakery/restaurant. The aroma from the bakery in the morning is fantastic! There is no fridge in the rooms but we didn't come to Barcelona to stay in the room. We found it on AB&B. All the attractions are within walking distance.

I would recommend this hotel- it is simple and small but has everything you need. We had two rooms and they could also be locked off from hallway should you have children- u can leave both doors wide open to hear them and still be safe. Go down the elevator and there is a whole coffee and breakfast place. Service was wonderful. Really had no complaints !! Def would stay there again

The staff at the hotel/bakery were outstanding! They were extremely friendly and helpful! The location was perfect and in walking distance to many attractions. We started out each day with cappuccino, pastries and delicious sandwiches to go. We will return to Barcelona and will stay at this lovely location again!

Excellent location Room just good Appreciate that providing conditioner and lotion. Christiana was excellent. We arrived late at night. We needed to heat up our dinner. She helped us to do so in their microwave. She was polite hospitable and great! Only you have to go to lobby downstairs to get hot water. Tea coffee has to pay 1 Euro. Will definitely come back to stay if visit Barcelona again.

We went for breakfast, what an amazing place. The seating area is beside the bakery itself so you can watch them make all the delish goodies from scratch. The selection was immense and also dangerous as you just wanted one of everything as it all looked mouth watering delicious. So much so that for our 3 days visiting Barcelona we ended up there for breakfast twice. It's well worth the visit! Good luck making a decision 😂

An interesting concept for a hotel, that looks... better on the Instagram pictures. The rooms are very small and not recommended if you like any kind of privacy : the toilet door is... half transparent and the furnishing is very minimalistic. There is only one towel hanger so both towels have to dry squished together, there is no trash bin in the restroom, nothing to make some coffee or tea, no mini fridge... however the shower is ridiculously big. Not a single vegan option in the bakery downstairs for breakfast. The staff however is super friendly, ans arranging and the location of the hotel is quite perfect.

The good: the kind receptionist who answered our questions and even spoke a bit of Italian. Clean room, comfortable mattress, nice bathroom. The room was very nicely scented and the decor was pretty. The bad: "breakfast". 9 euros per person and there was absolutely nothing for us to eat, and no plantbased milk (like soy) available so we couldn't even eat the cereal (my boyfriend ate it dry with his hands, how sad)...so all we could have was bad coffee. A Nespresso capsule for 9 euros. I think this hotel has the potential to be really nice and the concept is lovely, but it would be a good idea to remember that not everyone consumes milk products and not everyone eats ham. I know the bakery was closed due to a holiday, but I believe in that case that hotel management has the responsibility of making arrangements accordingly. I was dismayed to see that there wasn't even any fruit. I would have been content even with dry packaged toasts and jam. It was an unfair experience and I am less inclined to recommend this hotel unless I hear that they have made arrangements to include more variety at breakfast, and plant milk at the very least (and most hotels, in 2021, have it). But as it costs 9 euros, I think I would rather stay somewhere with free breakfast and a varied buffet.

The hotel itself is excellent, the rooms are very nice and have it all. Very clean and tidy. The ac is centralized but was very weak. The reason for my 4 stars rating is the breakfast as it was very restrictive. You can ask for a coffee/tea/milk from the reception and make your coffee and have cornflakes and you get only one piece of pastry from a very small variety and one sandwich which mostly is ham. No variety in sandwiches.

Second time in this cute little hotel with cozy rooms in a fantastic location. Our receptionist was incredibly charming and helpful (16.08 to 18.08) The bakery staff were also very friendly. And the offering? Sensational! We can't wait to be back!

Trendy, modern hotel and well located. 10 mins walk from Plaza Cataluña. Staff are friendly and helpful. Nicely design room, clean with spacious shower. It has a nice popular bakery which can be an issue too for in-house guests, it gets super busy and we had to queue for the breakfast, then not enough tables. Maybe try to improve the order system ? You have 5 staff behind counter but only 1 serving and it takes forever. Apart from the busy & slow service for the breakfast in the bakery, we are happy with the hotel. My tip for future guests is get early for breakfast to avoid massive queue or get breakfast somewhere else, plenty of options around, all within walk distance.

Great simple hotel with rooms on the smaller side that however are very fresh and well taken care of. The bakery by the reception is just great with everything you can dream of when it comes to sandwiches and pasteries for breakfast and lunch. Nice location that also feels quiet and secluded while still being in the centre of the city.

We stayed here for a long weekend. The rooms itself are a bit weird - you enter into a bathroom. Also missing the small stuff like glasses for water, fridge, etc. However, the bakery downstairs is amazing. Food is delicious! Coffee needs a LOT of work though.

  • 3/5 Can You Feel i. 2 years ago on Google
It's not worth booking breakfast as it's cheaper to buy it yourself from the bakery on the ground floor. Rooms are okay, but not really clean - there were dark hair in the bed. The Bakery is great!

The perfect hotel in Barcelona! Comfy and practical rooms, very warm as well (we were there in January and outside there were 4º degrees). The buffet breakfast included had a lot of choices between salty and delicious pastry from the bakery inside the hotel. The quality of coffee wasn’t excellent, but tea choices were great. The check in/out were super fast and the staff super available. We loved it all!

Super friendly staff and nice spot overall. Location is good - not too touristy but still close enough to walk everywhere. Bed and bathroom were great. Bakery was excellent. Only issue was that the AC automatically reset every few hours so the room was often a bit too hot - even after having the front desk staff attempt to fix it.

Great experience at Praktik Bakery hotel. Staff is lovely, helpful and full of good energy. The bakery is wonderful and we had breakfast there every morning. Super clean and very well located. Would highly recommend !

Loved the hotel and personnel. Only complaint was shower was extremely slippery, put a towel down on shower floor. Air conditioner very difficult to operate, english version would have been appreciated. The bakery was great. Front desk helped with directions and booking tickets for museums, etc. Definitely will come back.

Great location with just about everything you need within walking distance. Rooms are small but well planned and really all u need, cause why spend your time in the room while in Barcelona?!?! Café downstairs offers great breakfast before you hit the town for the day. Staff is super helpful and always greets you with a smile♡

The only good part of the hotel is the location. The door to your unit enters into the washroom, so you have to walk through it to get to the bedroom. Also, there is no mirror in the bedroom. We were two girls, and there was no garbage bin the washroom, so any sanitary products had to be in the thrown in the bin in the bedroom and there's no good spot to leave it in the washroom. No closet in the room, so we had to hang our jackets in the washroom. The bedroom was tiny, to the point where we can barely fit our suitcases. Bakery food was okay, but you can definitely find something better in the surrounding cafés around the hotel which have shorter lineups for a similar price. For the price we paid, this hotel was definitely not worth it and you can find something much better in the area.

The staff was very respectful and nice. The rooms were extremely beautiful, minimalistic and always super clean. I would 100% recommend this Hotel, since I love the concept overall, but also where it is placed. 5 stars are not enough!

We found the room very comfortable for a 4 day stay. Bed was large and comfortable, location was great. Very clean, great people at the desk. Only issue (small) was temperature control of the room, but staff took care of it.

  • 5/5 Nicole B. 1 year ago on Google
Very nice and clean rooms. I especially liked the big shower and the kind of shabby chic style. The bed was very comfy so was the pillow. I had chosen street view and thus had a light and sunny room. I did not opt for breakfast but had a coffee and croissant at the bakery every morning. Totally recommend!
