My husband had gone in after puncturing his eye with a snake plant, loosing part of his vision, was super light sensitive and in extreme pain For a couple days even after receiving antibiotics. The reception and nurses were great but Dr. Planchard was extremely rude upon arrival, rolling his eyes at our explanations and completely insensitive to my husband’s pain and vulnerability. We will never come here again. Dr. Planchard rushed through the exam, treated my husband like a child, telling him he was acting like a baby then continued to tell us that there was nothing wrong. It’s a month later and my husband is still having problems with his vision and pain at times. I do not recommend coming to this facility.

I had PRK surgery. My recovery was very long and every visit the technician literally looked terrified and wouldn't make eye contact. Dr. Planchard always made excuses and tried to convince us that I was just one of the unlucky ones. However, after seeing a specialist and having her say she "had never seen anyone's cornea so flattened after PRK surgery", I am quite certain that my surgery was botched. I have blurry vision which has gotten progressively worse and I can't even wear contacts because of the damage to my corneas.

I had paperwork sent from my insurance because they won’t pay my for eyedrops almost a week ago. Just found out today that you refused to fill it out unless I see the doctor because he wants to talk in person before he does the paperwork which will cost me more money for an appointment on top paying full price for my eyedrops because I can’t wait that long. You had received the paperwork last Thursday and did not call me out all once you had made decision. I had to call twice to get an answer. After I get my paperwork filled out and pay unnecessary for an appointment I will be never returning.

My appointment was at 100 pm.At 230 I had not been seen. There were 30 people waiting to be seen. The front desk was lying to people saying the doctor had an emergency. Everyone was complaining about the wait.If the office staff is incompetent I'm sure the doctor is as well. They treat you like cattle. I will never go back. Don't trust your eyes to a doctor that can't control his office staff.

Saw Dr Planchard who I was referred too by my optometrist, he contradicted everything my optometrist told me and was rude and obnoxious, he got in my face not wearing gloves or a mask. He also prescribed me steroid drops after clearing stating I was allergic to steroids on my paperwork. He would ask me questions and wouldn't even let me answer them. Needless to say I wont be going back I switched my referral to white Wilson opthmatology. He also ran 2 hours late

Shady business practices, avoid at all cost. Trying to get glasses for my Mom (elderly). Called them to have her prescription faxed to location closer to where she is now (assisted living). Called their office, Brittany said no problem, she would do that shortly. Next day, it hadn’t been faxed. Talked to Megan, who said a technician’ would have to call me. Samantha called and said she couldn’t do that without her being seen. After my insistence, she said she would talk to the Dr. I quoted her Florida Statute 64B13-3.012(2) which says - “ (2) A spectacle prescription shall be considered valid for a period of five (5) years, and a licensed practitioner shall make available to the patient or his or her agent any spectacle prescription or duplicate copy determined for that patient. So after insisting on a copy of the prescription, which is my legal right, Darrin called me and said he would fax over the prescription…never mentioning they said it was expired. They faxed over to the new place a prescription that was only valid for 1.5 years and now expired. Deceptive, sneaky and in violation of Florida Statute. I will be downloading the State complaint form to file a complaint with the Florida Board of Optometry.

I've had a problematic eye for about a month and saw a local optometrist. He did what he could for me but suggested I see this office for more help. I had an appointment scheduled for several weeks and the day before my appointment Em Coast Eye Inst office calls me and says they have to reschedule me and the next available was end of November! That's 6 weeks away! I told them that was unacceptable, I needed to be seen much sooner than that. They wouldn't help me. Even being a Type 1 diabetic and susceptible to more eye problems they wouldn't find me anything sooner. Based on other reviews, they may have done me a favor though. Beware.

My husband, and myself, are very happy with Dr Planchard, as well as his nurse who is so kind and caring. Also Brandi gets 5 stars for staying with me after hours when I got drops in my eyes and could not see to drive and had to wait for a ride (after dark) she refused to leave me standing alone out in the parking lot until my ride arrived! Most of the staff are very pleasant with the exception of one male tech that has an attitude problem and tries to rush you through the eye exam.

I had a very successful surgery provided by Dr. Ken Belville. I had a new lens called PanOptix implanted and have had absolutely no issues. My vision is nearly perfect and once completely healed I should have perfect vision. I had one eye corrected to overcome a cataract issue. My eye site was getting really distorted and it was hampering my day to day. I could not be happier with the outcome and the new lens. Just a perfect result that I would recommend to anyone considering this operation. Thanks again!

I recommend this place wholeheartedly. I never met Dr Planchard. My procedures were performed by Dr Bellville. He’s got a great bedside manner and a sense of humor. I like him a lot. I went in for cataract surgery. Left eye done in September, right eye done in October. I elected to get the the multi focal lenses by Panoptix. The surgery was quick and easy. No discomfort. The next day my vision had improved somewhat, but after my one week checkup, my left eye had gone from 20-200 (legally blind) to 20-25. My right eye went from 20-70 to 20-25 in the same time period. My reading vision is 20-16. No glasses. No need for them at all. I see things I haven’t seen in 3-4 years. I find it almost miraculous. Don’t put it off, there’s nothing to it and the benefits outweigh any price.

Not punctual. Waited for nearly an hour while the doctor casually talked to other patients in the Waiting room before being seen. Upon being seen, the doctor ignored or played down all concerns or medical issues discussed. Terrible service do not recommend.

I had one visit and it was a pleasant one. All of the staff was nice including the Doctor. Time for another appointment, hopefully I can get one.

😠 Staff is horrible. Wait time is ridiculous. They aren’t considerate of your time. Uses the “they’re new” excuse for the unreliable receptionist at the front. Receptionist also set her own amount on what I would pay for an arrangement. MAJOR TURNOVER on staff!! Someone new every time. They send you e...

😠 I have found out ,,, I will not be treated as such. I want a doctor I can see and maybe even talk to. This place is so wrapped up in getting your money and moving on to the next patient that they don't really care how you feel or what's going on. This needs to be labeled as medical malpractice.
