Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and tasty enough food! Not a huge fan of pick your own sauce on every pasta dish but to each their own. Salad was decent, pasta had a few too many capers, and salmon had one small bone, but overall a good experience and I would come here again

It was my first time at Anthonino’s and I was in the mood for pasta. The place is classy, the food was great and the staff was phenomenal. I ordered 3 different pastas and each dish was consistently cooked to my request. All tasted amazing. I started with a pizza , sweet and spicy, as an appetizer. It was a great choice. It is a mix between thin and original crust which was crispy and a little chewy but not dry. Just the way a pizza should be. My favorite pasta dish was the Puttanesca with fresh tomatoes, capers, anchovies, etc. I do not settle for restaurants that don’t make their food from scratch with love. You will taste the difference at this restaurant compared to others. Thank you Chefs and staff for a memorable day.

Love this place! My wife and I went early in the evening and really enjoyed the family atmosphere. We had the lasagna and the sausage and pasta, it was fantastic. We also had the toasted raviolis. The pictures are of it half eaten because we couldn’t wait to dig in!

Good place with the home feeling. Felt like everyone knew everyone. Our server was super nice and helpful. Tried a dish that I haven't had before and just as our server said, it is delicious and now a favorite of mine! Definitely will eat here again when we are in st Louis.

Service was top notch. Food was good but not great. More Mediterranean than straight Italian. Tiramisu was excellent. Dark chocolate raspberry cheesecake was special, amazing.

We came in for dinner and really enjoyed it. Had to order the toasted ravioli, since they're so highly recommended, and they were worth the hype. The red sauce in particular was very nice. We also had the meatball sandwich and it was good, not dry. Prices are reasonable as well.

Unbelievable dining experience in the heart of St. Louis' Little Italy aka The Hill with an incredible staff! 🇮🇹 The menu is expansive and everything is delightful. Be sure to several shareable plates before you get your entrée! They have a full bar and can make anything that delights you. Highly recommend the tiramisu for dessert!

Absolutely one of the best pizzas 🍕 in St. Louis Missouri. Great undercarriage. Super cheesy. Awesome sauce. The four meat pizza is a must try! The charred underside and top is what makes this over the top! Don’t miss out on this fantastic place to dine. Wonderful staff with excellent service and food.

Really? Not understanding all the positive reviews. First experience with their food (pasta con broccoli) and I realize my order was a delivery order, but the sauce is basically just milk. Tastes fine but underwhelming. Don’t think I would try again. Eating it because I’m hungry.

Woah. Crazy good food, drinks, service, and ambiance. Absolutely will be returning soon, but with a BIG appetite. The quality of their ingredients is absurdly amazing.

Classic Italian with classy decor. The pizza had a perfect crispy crust and was the perfect amount of cheese. Service was great! Ordered my favorite dessert to go so I could enjoy it later.

Amazing! Seriously delicious food and amazing service. The lobster Ravioli is so good! The Garlic Cheese bread is a must order. The Salmon Pasta is a large portion and has the most delicious capers. The Chicken Parm Sandwich is enough to share and comes with a huge portion of fries or shredded Brussel sprouts. A MUST if you head to the Hill in St. Louis. We will definitely be back because the pizzas and burgers at the table next us looked too good not to try.

Dined in and ordered the Toasted Ravioli, Grilled Salmon Pasta and Lasagna. The lasagna was actually really really good. Also had the Palermo Styled Chicken with a side of Bolognese to go. It was very lemony. Overall great place, service, prices!

Friendly Mediterranean style restaurant on the Hill fits in well with the rest of the area that adds to the experience of first timers. Plenty of sidewalk seating along with a decent dinning room. Pizzas looked awesome as we walked by to our table. Toasted Ravioli appetizer 6 pieces loaded with meat spinach and cheese placed around a dish of marinara was tasty I thought the house (Greek) salad was a bit dry. Actually couldn't tell if there was any dressing on it. Wife got lasagna and she thought it lacked enough red sauce. More like pasta with plenty cheese but kinda dry. Chicken Palermo was excellent but I got white pasta as a side. Disappointed as the pasta was tough to chew. Next time we'll try the pizza as that looked awesome.

One of the many places on "the hill" this place is right next door to one of my favorite places for ravioli. I decided to try it here as I was passing though, and Anthonino's raviolis were good. In my opinion not as good as next door, but the lasagna was EXCELLENT. The lasagna contains the homemade Bolognese plus copious amounts of cheeses which makes it a stunning party in the mouth. I ordered takeout, but I noticed the ambiance seemed nice. Check it out, St. Louis!

Their sauce is amazing! Toasted Rav’s are good. Tad underdone for our taste but good none the less. Could be a little bit crispier. All of our food was delicious and my 4 year old loved the Mac and cheese.

Absolutely everything is on point, from the welcoming atmosphere when you walk in, to the personal and attentive (without being intrusive or bothersome) service...and what can be said about the food other than OMG yes! The toasted ravioli are amazing, the crispy artichoke hearts are to die for, and the lasagna is probably the best I've ever had!

Very satisfying for sure. Toasted ravs were really good, as was the gyro. Guys at the bar were great. Happy to have gone there, not sure if I'd make it a regular stop but would certainly recommend checking it out.

Skip the pomp and circumstance of fine Italian fare on the hill. Anthonino’s offers made from scratch pastas and sauces that are dream worthy! Featured in “Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives” this restaurant had more than doubled its seating capacity in order to accommodate the roaring demand yet still requires a reservation! The staff is happy and attentive. The food is perfection! I love that the atmosphere is warm and friendly without feeling like i I need to get dressed up. High ceilings allow for that crowded family reunion feel. A definitive family favorite!

We finally tried a new place on the hill and it did not disappoint! Everything was delicious and we even had some leftovers due to some generous portion 😊 I have put the description and price after the pic I thought this would help you know what we had and take out the guess work💁‍♀️ we also got dessert but it was so good we inhaled it and forgot a pic 🤣 definitely will go back and best of all our server Cherish was amazing. She made sure we had EVERYTHING we needed and got it with a smile ❤️

Whatever you do don't order the Alfredo Pasta. BLAND!!!!!! Top Ramen tastes better. I just threw it away. Look at this pic tell me how much sauce you see, or seasoning. Just boiled noodles and and cheap olive oil

Italian/Greek restaurant with so many interesting choices. Our waitress was very friendly and on point the entire meal. We started with Toasted Ravioli with red sauce, they were large along with hot and really flavorful. We both decided on the Big Anthony Burger. All burgers are 8oz certified angus beef brand. garlic cheese bread topped with gyro meat. The burger was do delicious along with cooked to order perfectly. The roll they use is just right to hold the burger along with being light. Next we ordered some pizzas to go for dinner tonight, as the prices are so reasonable along with unusual choices. Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza pancetta, mozzarella, crushed meatballs and cheddar. All pizzas are 14”, hand tossed and served with mozzarella cheese. Gyro Pizza tzatziki sauce, gyro meat, tomato, onion and feta. All pizzas are 14”, hand tossed and served with mozzarella cheese. They look so good and looks like a fire oven was used, the crust looks great too. Give you a break down on the pizzas after we eat them. Gotta go back and try their chicken pesto pasta as it sounds so yummy. They have Ravioli with a pesto sauce, not many restaurants have a pesto sauce. Please support your local businesses to keep them in our neighborhoods.

🌟🌟🌟🌟 Wandering into Anthonino's Taverna on The Hill in St. Louis, we were greeted by a fairly simplistic, yet welcoming décor. 🖼️ Not much to dazzle the eye, but the charm of the place lies in its simplicity, with a few pictures adding a splash of character to the otherwise plain walls and linens. 🪑 Our experience was elevated by the service we received. 🙌 The star of the show was Jeff at the front desk, who was absolutely amazing and had us in stitches with his humor. 😂 He's an absolute gem! 💎 Our server, Ian, also deserves a shout-out for his attentive and pleasant service. He was always around, checking in on us and ensuring we were well taken care of. 👏 The food? Well, it was certainly a journey to Flavortown! 🍽️ I decided to go with the Dolmathes - a decision inspired by its feature on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. And oh boy, it didn't disappoint! 🤤 My fiancée's choice, the Cioppino, was equally enjoyable. 🍲 But the real star of the meal? The famous toasted ravioli - truly one of the best in St. Louis. 🥟👌 Overall, Anthonino's Taverna offers a good dining experience. It may not be the most elaborate or eye-catching place, but the delightful service and tasty food make it a worthy stop on any St. Louis food tour. 🌇🍴

We ordered Lasagna, a little on the salty side maybe, but still delicious in fact in kind of reminded me of what my mom's tastes like....lots of flavor, POW. Pasta on slightly thicker side. Calamari, beautifully garnished and on the beam. Toasted ravioli, soft meat filling not my favorite even as much as I wanted to agree with Guy Fieri, but hey, my dogs were stoked! Salad had a decent dressing, and we especially liked the special sauce on the side of calamari Overall, a satisfying meal. Chef Mikey

I can see why it's rated easily in the top 5 restaurants in St Louis. Authentic location and food. My wife loves fried calamari and this one was the best. According to her, the tentacle tips are the best. She ordered the Tutti Mare with Alfredo. I ordered the 4 meat pizza with roasted garlic and basil. Outstanding. One of the best in the area. Service was impeccable and fast. Will come back.

The environment was wonderful but the food was average to say sadly. We had to send my husband's food back due to it being cooked incorrectly and the shrimp pasta was so so. Maybe we'll come back another time and try something different but for first timers we were definitely underwhelmed.

Me and my niece went to Anthonino's Taverna after reading reviews and sat at bar. I asked the bartender if it would be possible to try a small piece of gyro. He explained that theirs is not processed and went and got me a sample. My niece changed her order immediately after sampling. awesome

My experience at Anthonino's Taverna was fantastic. We celebrated my birthday on June 29th, My immediate family was all in attendance. The food was delicious. The service was great. The atmosphere was inviting. I was met at the door with a sign posted, wishing me happy birthday. A nice surprise. This was a great experience at a neighborhood restaurant on "The Hill, the Italian area in St. Louis. I ordered the pasta con broccoli, and it was delicious and flavorful. Even the bread was light and just the right texture. Not doughy. It may be bread from Missouri bakery. Also, a well established Italian business on "The Hill" The pizza was also very appetizing. That was ordered by my wife and son. My son had the meatball pizza. He could not stop talking about it. My wife had the goat cheese pizza, and she enjoyed the crisp crust and fresh ingredients. When you visit, come hungry. Thank you, Anthonino's Taverna, for making an awesome end to my birthday celebration.

Jake at the bar was great. Toasted ravioli was good. Carbonara was not my favorite but I am pretty picky about that dish. It tasted like it could have been fake cheese. Tiramisu was best I’ve ever had. Overall I would come back and try a different entree.

Food there is always good. Especially, Toasted ravioli was really good. And I ordered gluten free pasta to just try. I used to get regular pasta, but I really enjoyed the taste of gluten free pasta too. Only few dissapointment was our server spilled water on table when he gives us more water. And He didn't say anything about it. But Overall,I love this place!

Anthonino's delivers on quality, taste, atmosphere, and customer service! During our stay in St. Louis, we were fortunate enough to be staying very close to The Hill. Dinner at Anthonino's was worth every penny and moment! The toasted ravioli and a winning appetizer. Their homemade pasta was perfection. The marinara sauce was rich and flavorful. Even the olive oil and shaved parmesan cheese that was served with the bread was delicious! It all spoke of a care for quality that makes this place absolutely worth your visit. Not to mention that the best waitress we have experienced in a long time was our server!

  • 5/5 Angela H. 3 years ago on Google
Stumbled across this gem by luck. I am glad I did. The server Keirsten was phenomenal. Being our first time here, she was exceptionally good and helping us choose the best dishes. She did not disappoint us at all. The atmosphere was great. We will make a return visit.

New favorite restaurant on the Hill! We brought our visiting family to this restaurant and we were NOT disappointed. The appetizers (toasted Rav’s and calamari) were good quality, yummy, and fun to share. My favorite entree we tried was the Tutti Mare in white sauce, it was a great mix of seafood and was full of flavor. The Pizza was made to perfection. The Greek fusion really brings this place to the next level, I will be back!

We went around opening time on a Tuesday so it wasn't packed. The food was AMAZING and came out rather quickly. Everything was perfect, also appreciated the vegetarian options. We will definitely go back every time we visit St Louis. We had the garlic cheese bread, salads, chicken parmesan and alfredo broccoli. The waitress was helpful when we asked about the meat-free options and explained menu items as she was pretty knowledgeable.

The toasted ravioli was absolutely fantastic--crispy and flavorful. The caesar salad was also really good and made it, dare I say, enjoyable to eat kale. The chicken marsala was a bit sweet for my taste, but still good and cleanly butchered. The vegetable today was a broccoli slaw which was mainly broccoli in a caeser-like dressing. Superb. And the tiramisu's flavor was divine, though I would enjoy a stronger presence of espresso. Wonderful and friendly service and great social distancing. Not a lot of parking space, though. Overall, Anthonino's did not disappoint and seems to be quite a gem, and I'll definitely be back!

We just tried Anthoninos Taverna for the first time. & WOW. It was incredible. This was our first time in the area, and we are so glad we chose to try Anthoninos. The food was to die for. We had the toasted ravioli, which was amazing. It definitely lived up to their reputation. Their bread and seasoned oil was so so good. I was surprised at how tasty it could be, though it was so simple. My husband got the roasted garlic chicken pizza, which was wonderful and I got the specialty pasta for the day, Pasta allá Boscaiola, with filet mignon and their pink sauce. It was incredible. It all just melts in your mouth. Not only was the food top notch, but their service was wonderful. Jennifer was our server, and she was so kind and helpful. She made us feel comfortable and right at home. We based our whole meal on her recommendations and they did not disappoint. If you are traveling to St Louis, this is a MUST TRY kind of place. Ask for their recommendations, and you will be sure to love everything you taste. Thanks for the wonderful food & service. We will be back!

Sat outside Thurs, 9/25 Food was very good Waitress was excellent: punctual, not overbearing, quick, polite as could be. And although she wore a mask all night, I believe she was smiling the whole time. I did not get a chance to tell her how grateful I was for her service, hopefully the tip did

Stopped here during a socially-distanced roadtrip with wife and pup. After exploring Little Italy earlier in the day, we wanted to make a return trip for dinner. Had to try to Toasted Ravioli (was okay), but the real star was the lasagna. Quite possibly the best I've ever had with the rich and perfect meat sauce.
