I went there for my birthday dinner and it was one of the best meals of my life. Do the tasting menu-four courses! I was amazed how they made salad taste so good. Mushroom pasta was the best pasta ever!

Was pleasantly surprised!! While the menu is small everything we tried was delicious. Mastered to a tee! The gnocco fritto was so cool - an airy dough topped with prosciutto. The crudo, to me, is pretty much a salmon/tuna tartare (delicious). My mother loved her spaghetti alle vongole. I had the chicken milanese, and i ascended to the heavens and back. Cocktails were also delicious, good pour. Overall, a great place, I would come back.

Incredible! I recently had dinner here with my wife. It’s a very nice place for dinner / date night. The server was super nice and helpful. We had the tasters choice. It’s a 4 curse meal. Worth every penny. The atmosphere very pleasant. Can’t wait to go back

Simply fantastic food and service. NOT STL style Italian food, but instead authentic Italian fare. The food makes me feel like we are back in Italy. If you've never been to Italy, try Acero for dinner and you will get a feel for the flavors served like you were on your own personal trip. Excellent wine selection. We have received outstanding service on all of our visits.

Celebrated my 41st birthday at Acero. My husband and I opted for the Chef's 7 course menu. It was really good. The only downside is that the last time we visited Acero was 2 years ago, and I remembered some of the dishes as they were the same then as they were this weekend. Aside from creativity, Acero is a great place to eat and celebrate. Having the wine pairing, we found some new wines that we both like as well.

This place was awesome. The 4-course tasting menu was the way to go, and they had fresh morels to add to any dish, which was a nice surprise. Our server, Zarn, was so knowledgeable, friendly and funny as well, he really made the experience. We'll be back!

Fabulous tasting menu, 4 courses, unique Italian dishes, expertly plated. If you have Gretchen as your server you are especially fortunate.

Had an amazing experience here last night. It’s a small restaurant so with the restrictions in place right now you should definitely call ahead. We ordered the tasting menu- 4 courses. It allows you to try a little bit of everything. There wasn’t one thing I didn’t love. I highly recommend the egg raviolio. Great service and great food!!

My wife and I dined here tonight and the best description of the food was, sublime. Really outstanding, we both had the seven course chef's tasting menu, and each dish was consumately balanced. Service was impeccable. The wine list is impressive. The restaurant was a little loud at its peak capacity but elegantly decorated and lit, with a nice selection of modern jazz to suit the decor. This is a gem of the fine dining scene here in St. Louis.

Food was pricy but decent, but very unfortunate experience with the waiter when I went to pay with a gift card. I don’t know if this is restaurant policy or just bad manners on your servers part but the tip line was aggressively crossed out to make sure I did not tip short because of the gift card. Considering the cost of the meal and how much I spent over the gift card amount I was offended. This is something I would have expected at Applebees….. Maybe I did not look like I could afford it to tip…. Either way I won’t be back.

The food and ambience was so great. I love that they don’t use seed oils and the food is fresh and delicious. Our waiter was great too.

Just an amazing meal, I'm surprised this place doesn't get more press. A couple of minor service hiccups, but I'm already excited about my next trip back. The BYO tasting menu is absolutely the way to go btw

We had the four-course dinner and my wife had the wine pairing. The food was delicious and the courses were well-timed. The pairings were wonderful as well! This is the best Italian food I have had in St. Louis.

Decided to take the wife here for our anniversary. Excellent decision. The four-course tasting menu is the way to go. The seafood pasta was the highlight of my meal. The service was great. The patio was lovely. I highly recommend this place, though be prepared to spend a little money.

I was too enamored with my food to take a single picture! To keep it short, this is the best meal I've ever had in STL. My wife and I dined with another couple and we all chose the prix fixe. Pricing is spot on for the quality of food. A highlight was my pasta - the venison tagliatelle...it wasn't great...it was phenomenal! Our server was knowledgeable and skilled and his timing of our courses was perfect and paced us for a lovely two hour dinner experience. Acero will be our go-to for special events, opting for the prix fixe. However, we'll likely become regulars to pop in and enjoy their pastas, which are clearly their specialty. Do yourself a favor and go...you won't regret it!

Do yourself a giant favor and treat yourself to the tasting menu. You choose 1 starter, 1 pasta, 1 entree, and 1 dessert from the menu. Even with the smaller portions, you are pretty much guaranteed to leave happy and satisfied. Pro tip. Highly recommend the Tagliolini (but if you hate mushrooms, stay away from that dish!) ….and although the wine pairings were incredible, as a “tut tut, it tastes like red” person… next time we will just buy a bottle… or two for a comparable cost. Book a reservation. Now.

This is my number 1 dining experience in St louis thus far. Chicken Milanese is not to be missed. You'll definitely want to get the tasting menu.

My wife and I had the joy of celebrating our anniversary here - our server Jesse was incredible, truly made the best of our dinner and did a great job explaining the wines he was paring with each course of our meal. The mushroom tagliolini really blew my mind, such a tastefully done dish that leaves you wanting more; the only ding I really hold on the meal is that my wife and I both wished that the beef tenderloin had been seasoned a little stronger to help bring the flavor of the cut to the forefront, but it was still perfectly cooked and each bite was satisfying. atmosphere was chill but, a little loud, not so much so that you can’t maintain a conversation without raising your voice. Overall we really enjoyed our evening and we hope to return sooner than later.

Let me start by saying the ambiance of this place is so nice. Our service was great. Now, on to the food. EVERYTHING was outstanding! My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here and I’d have to say that it is the perfect date night experience. We did the tasting menu and so glad we did! I highly suggest the egg raviolo. My boyfriend and I both took a bite and just looked at each other in awe at how amazing and flavorful it was! For the main dish I had the chicken Milanese and my boyfriend had the lamb. Again, incredible! Finished off with the chocolate torte and the panna cotta. Both delicious! I can not say enough good things about this place! It’s a little pricey, but absolutely worth every penny!

Had a excellent evening dinner with a group of friends here. A very intimate setting, a perfect place to celebrate anything. They have a vast wine selection and a very creative menu. Server we had did an excellent job too, he knew everything. Get a reservation and don’t look back!

This is in the top 5 of my favorite restaurants in St. Louis. They obviously put significant effort into their food, the raviolo is ridiculously good, but so is everything else. I highly recommend the tasting menu in order to experience a bunch of dishes.

A wonderful special occasion place! I feel it makes most sense to do the tasting menu price-wise, and you get a really good feel for their food. The dessert and pasta were the stars for me!
