I
took
my
son
in
for
a
follow
up
after
he
was
sick
for
a
week
(I
took
him
to
TAUC
the
first
time).
Both
of
the
staff
who
helped
us
here
were
so
condescending,
it
was
obvious
they
didn’t
actually
care
about
treating
him,
just
being
right
that
he
should
have
been
tested
for
Covid
and
lecturing
me
about
how
bad
Covid
is.
They
wouldn’t
even
listen
that
I
kept
him
home
and
quarantined
for
the
same
amount
of
time
as
the
CDC
recommended
time
anyway,
even
though
he
was
diagnosed
with
strep
originally.
(He’s
had
a
fever
and
I
suspected
some
virus
on
top
of
the
strep.)
The
NP
went
so
far
as
to
tell
me
she’s
an
expert
on
Covid
because
she
lost
a
parent
to
it
and
worked
through
Covid
(I
assume
she
meant
lockdowns,
not
that
she
worked
while
she
had
Covid)
and
to
show
me
proof
that
his
strep
isn’t
strep—“See
that
mom?!?
That’s
snot!”
At
the
end
of
the
visit,
they
had
no
real
help
except
to
advise
what
I
was
already
doing
to
treat
my
son,
and
provide
a
note
for
his
school
and
work.
Which
is
fine,
that’s
all
we
needed
anyway.
One
other
area
of
frustration
is
the
med
assistant
went
ballistic
that
he
lost
20
lbs
over
the
last
year
(
he
has
Invisalign
and
eats
way
cleaner
than
he
used
to).
The
implication
overall
was
that
they
tried
to
make
me
feel
like
a
terrible
mother
for
taking
my
son
to
urgent
care,
allowing
a
strep
diagnosis
instead
of
having
him
get
a
Covid
test,
and
bringing
him
back
in
when
it
was
too
late
for
a
Covid
test.
When
again,
there
would
be
nothing
they
could
do
for
it,
that
I
haven’t
already
been
doing.
I
wish
I
could
accurately
capture
their
tone
here,
in
addition
to
the
conversation.
I’ve
never
been
so
insulted.
