I am starting a class action suit against this company. I have several bills from this company in which I have given them insurance information for. Some of my bills during my stay were paid for and others were not. I only learned after looking at my credit report that I had outstanding balances that went to collection agencies. I never received any mailings regarding that I owed a bill. The same visits that were connected to West County Radiological Group bills were covered by my insurance. They wait until after your allotted insurance coverage dates pass to send bills. I am not only filing a formal complaint with the BBB, but the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, FTC, and NHCAA for report unethical medical billing practices. This company has a long term history of this repetitive billing practice. I am also filing a complaint against the hospital for not informing patients that they are being billed separately for Radiological Services. I suggest any patients that are having the same issues to do the same. The attorney associated with the several other cases will contact you.

I had dual insurance so I shouldn't have received any type of bill. Between both of my insurance companies, the bill should have been paid in full. When I called the insurance they said the claims were denied because West County Radiology did not bill in a timely fashion, therefore it is their responsibility for the balance. Their contract with the insurance says that they cannot balance bill me. Well, low and behold, I'm being sent to collections. I'm not paying. It wasn't paid by the insurance because they messed it. If I had a choice, I would never use them again. But, I have no choice when I'm at a hospital. Such a scam!!

Same problem as most here. Though I'm lucky to have received the bill prior to being sent to collections. When I had an ultrasound performed at Mercy, I was told they prefer that I "pay in full upfront", so I paid ~$380 for the ultrasound prior to going in for the service thinking that was it. Fast forward two months and I get an ~$80 bill from this company for reading the ultrasound. I get it, someone has to read the ultrasound, but WCRG and Mercy need to get on the same page.

This business tries to destroy consumer credit scores even for small amounts billed. The send you to Americollect ASAP. If I ever see them billing for services again, I will file a complaint immediately in GP! Mercy Health system is at fault too with their billing administration that helps to create surprised billings from them outsourcing services and not helping to notify the patient in a billing statement this item will be billed separately by ****. Glad I have found out the CFPB will have them remove medical bills paid from credit reports . And in 2023 these predators can't report you as collection for 1 year in order to give consumers more time to settle medical debt before it is reported to the credit bureaus.

The one star is due to not being told how much my out of pocket would be ahead of time. I asked to pay before having mammogram and they charged me $250 (I only have 1 breast due to cancer). I find out 18 months later that they sent me to collections for $87. Now I’m dealing with credit collectors. When will healthcare in America be transparent? Anything else in the world I can get an accurate estimate, but not a mammogram? Did they even check to see I already paid $250 and my insurance was billed? Make sure you know how much it’s going to cost BEFORE getting anything done in writing! Now I have to find a new place to get mammogram this year. Ugh 😩

I would give Zero stars if possible! We paid our bill on time and come to find out last September 2018 we over paid by $160.00! We have called them every month since then trying to get our refund and get the same story over and over! It’s just a temp answering phones. They are merging with another company handling the money but will not disclose said company or phone number. Never a manager to talk to only temp agent answering phones and a different one each time. I can never talk to an actual employee and here it is May 2019 and yet to get a penny back. I will be contacting channel 2 news, channel 5 and channel 4 to run this story and hopefully many others!! It’s a shame they’re so quick to send everyone to collections and yet when they are responsible for giving an over paid refund it’s been 8 months and still no refund- if only I could send THEM to collections!!! 😡. I just want what is due back to me!!

No complaints on the people that took care of me with my breast biopsy and surgery. First class all the way! My complaint is with the billing procedures that they have in place. I received my THREE statements and paid the balance due after the insurance had all gone thru. My Fourth corrispondance was telling me I was turnes over to collections for non payment. I paid them in full on the last statement dated for June and now in July I'm in collections for non payment??? I would think sending another statement would have been a better way of handling this than to send me to collections. Poor customer service!

I had the experience of paying the bill promptly, then 3 months later I get a collection letter. So, I look at my bank statement and the check I sent had never cleared! So, either the company lost my check, the post office lost my check, or I didn’t mail it. And of course, I get the collection letter on Saturday, so I have to wait in a state of consternation until Monday to clear up this mess. Plus, the radiology group didn’t bother to file a claim with Medicare! What’s up with that?! I thought it was THE LAW! Hahahahahaha!!!!

I am very displeased with this company. Several years ago I had to get imaging through Mercy but they sent me here. After I made sure to pay my bill, which should have shown on Mercy's system. Instead this company held if silent until recently and charged 3 separate charges. I had no paperwork or proof of these charges and the consequences are my credit score is ruined. I am disputing these charges as this is very poor practice. I have no actual proof that I owe this yet they decided to silently charge me and cause issues with my credit. I suggest to never go here, if Mercy sends you here find a different place that's not a third party. I will dispute these charges until they are cleared as it's not my fault.

Same as the other. Even tried calling to pay my bill I never received and got hung up on. I couldn’t pay over the phone with the promps because I didn’t have a bill. Was sent to collects.

Terrible billing department. Have had BOTH my primary and secondary insurance info since my very first visit. A year later and still trying to get them to correct their billing mistake with insurance, They never bothered to even send the claim to my primary on the 1st visit. Only my secondary. I had multiple visits afterwards, before I knew there was a billing issue, and they sent those claims to my primary, but refuse to send it to my secondary. (Both of which they accept as insurances).

Like everybody, I also received a bill asking for payment pending. Cheaters! why would they not tell that during my hospital discharge. Sending a mail after 2 months of my discharge.

Have not been here but their one employee John O'Keefe accidently got sent wedding gifts through Venmo to him instead of me. I messaged him but he does not have the decency to do the right thing. He is a radiologist here. If you see him, let him know that he should have more character.
