👍👍 This was EXACTLY how people have reviewed it and looked exactly like pictures from reviews. SOOOO fun and beautiful. What a gem in the middle of MD! It’s definitely worth the paid entry. I would get there early again to get a perfect spot. I wish more people would pick up after themselves and help k... People often mention beach, line, park, kids, water,

This was EXACTLY how people have reviewed it and looked exactly like pictures from reviews. SOOOO fun and beautiful. What a gem in the middle of MD! It’s definitely worth the paid entry. I would get there early again to get a perfect spot. I wish more people would pick up after themselves and help keep the park clean! The crowd was great and very diverse :) bathrooms were super clean when we first got there, Of course as more people use them, the dirtier they get so I understand that, just be prepared and wear your flops and maybe bring some wipes and hand sanitizer!! 😉

Swimming with your cat in a tiny life vest will get you some strange looks but it's still a very nice beach.

Bathrooms all closed and park was packed. Only one port a pot and visitor center. Staff inside visitor center kicks you out if your on the phone. Parks beautiful but park staff needs to step it up. $3 a person to get in should be able to manage bathrooms at the bare minimum.

It’s a great park and beach. But, if you want to get in, try to get in line before 8am. We got in line today at 8:30am and park closed before we able to get in.

This is one of the best place I’ve visited in the recent times. This has everything for kids to adults. You can do biking, trails next the pond, camping and picnic area. This is amazing place for picnics. I found very peaceful when I visited this place and I’m planning to visit it very often. There is a entrance fee of $3 for MD resident and $5 for other states, but its worth it. They’re maintaining so well. It gives you the resort feel. You have spots to sit on keep your feet in the pond water it has amazing views all around.

I planned my trip to beach according to the reviews. This beach is around 1 hr away so as per reviews i have to be in line before 8 and the line is usually 1-2 miles which takes an hr to get in and if we r not in before 8 so they usually close it and we cant get in…. That’s exactly what all the review’s said… Please see the pictures below .. Its Friday 1st September and i reached here at 7:30 and the gate was closed, and there was no line at all… like no car at all… we were the first one to be there and first one to go inside …we waited till 8 to open and we went inside and to our surprise there was not even a single person at the beach… we felt as if we r in a resort and the whole beach is ourself…. So blessed… Slowly and gradually people started coming after 9. We stayed till the 10:30 and we really enjoyed our visit to the Greenbrier state park/beach. Now about the beach - its very pretty. It a small beach with very very clear water and white sand. Many tables and grilling stations.. play areas for kids. Very neat and tidy place. Loved it completely. Its a hidden gem !!

I love it here. Ww got here very early around 6:30am and the line was loooooong. That's the only con. Be we didn't wait long, and there were plenty of tables and grills. The water is very clear, and there are plenty of shady spots to sit near the waters. There is also a walking trail that lets you veiw all angles of the water. There's food, there such as hotdogs, snow cones, fries and etc. Therr is also a lofe guard on duty from 11am to 6pm, which is a plus. The water is shallow enough for little kids to play safely. I can't wait to bring my family here again. I highly suggest this hudden gem. Just make sure you come VERY early. The line gets very long, like over 2 miles long, and that was at 6:30 am.

We got here at 710 and the park is supposed to open at 7. There is the longest line here on a Saturday morning, insanely long. It's 730 now and we are all in line on the side of the road and haven't moved.

Not bad for a local beach. The water was pretty clear. It was cleaner than the catoctin location.

Went there last fall and beach was close to empty. Water was freezing cold but yeah, picturesque surroundings.
