I had a very good time here. The whole house and the dorms look really nice. The dorms have normal beds not bunk beds which I found quite nice. It also has good fans that will keep you cool during the night. In Popoyo you cant do a lot of things, surfing is the thing there and it's the reason why I came to this place. You will meet a lot of surfers in the hostel and around, so don't worry about being lonely if you travel alone like me. The hostel has some boards, some of them are quite nice. The main break is not far away, but it can get really crowded. If you're a beginner you probably want to walk a little further towards the Magic Rock. To the right side of the rock you can find a nice left, if it works haha.

Popoyo reef break: one of the best big waves spots in Central America. Advanced surfing; small lineup, please be careful and look after each other! Be sure to find the right place to paddle out, breaks way out there, but not bad once you are out. Can be hard to paddle into waves when the off shore wind is strong. Rest & aftersurf: finca Popoyo offers snacks and hangout spots to watch people surf in the shade.
