Everything was great! We checked out of Lancers Inn (noise all night from clubs across the road!) and arrived at the Avani Lesotho at 07h30. Check in was 14h00 but they made a plan and got a room ready by 08h30 for us - great service! The food is superb, the views are great, rooms extra comfy & quiet, the decor is amazing and Eddie the chef is proud of his food! Definitely a 5-star experience!! #Kruger2Kalahari

A very amazing place to be with friends and have great drinks at, I would give the whole place a solid 9.5/10 and the customer service 8 because we didn’t quite get what we wanted but it’s fine they provided solutions so I would say I want to go back.

Lovely hotel... For a hotel with a casino, ot is odd that there is no ATM on the premises. The bar closes too early as well.

Stayed here for a work related trip. I did not have a great check in experience. Check in is at 2PM. We arrived by 2:15, and our room was not ready until about 3:45PM. When we ultimately got into our room, it was clean and offered complementary water, tea and hand sanitizer, which is nice. The staff is receptive and nice. The complementary breakfast is a plus. We always ate lunch elsewhere so cannot comment, but dinner service was very slow and it took about 1.5h to get our meal once ordered from the menu. It was good though and you have the option of buffet vs menu. We had the lamb curry. Overall I would recommend staying here but keep in mind that check in may be delayed and the service is slow but ultimately a good experience.

The rooms are neat and clean but fairly standard. The spraying of the shower rose didn't work that well for me. Otherwise the staff at the hotel is very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely come back again, hopefully the shower will be better.

Disastrous, appalling service tantamount to fraud I paid for the Christmas luncheon on 20 December 2023 upon arrival in Lesotho; subsequently cancelled it timeously prior to the actual luncheon on Christmas. I was assured that, provided that I furnished them with my proof of banking details, identification and confirmatory receipt for the luncheon, I would be refunded. That was done on 24 December 2023 when I left the country. It has now been over a month, with repeated requests of when I may expect to be refunded my money, to no avail. The staff are non-responsive and tardy - a bunch of shysters! The service is a far cry from discerning.

One of the places that are a must to be at in LESOTHO. Stuff super friendly, service is top notch, and the casino is my favorite including the pools out side. Must see

Requested for suite room and was told not available. Charged me LSL 2800 when Avani Website show LSL 2042. Spoke to reception Mr Tisang, not able to explain on this big difference. Requested for an invoice but not able to give me. 1 lift broke down, left with 1 lift working, long wait time. Rooms are run down, bed sheet linen are not clean.

Hotel is falling apart. Lift not working. No hot water for 6 days. Restaurant food not very tasty but expensive. Carpets stained. Toilet doesnt stop flushing. Not worth the expense.

I had a very unpleasant experience in this place. All started when I and my colleagues arrived at the hotel, our company made a booking via booking com on our arrival the reception staff did not acknowledge the booking, were told that the hotel police states that should pay on the spot or else we could not be assisted with any service. Now we had to run around try to call back our director in SA about the situation luckily one of our colleague had his bank card with him.we settle the Bill and proceed to the rooms. We got the rooms they are small, no fridges, TV screen around 27inch screen, the channel are sabc, and local channel, The following day in the morning, I requested for an Iron to Iron was told that was no irons, all of them were takenby guests, if I wouldn't mind I should go to third flow to room 350, to do my ironing had to leave west wing and down by South with my shirt on hand the entire lobby looki g at me. I complaint at the reception there was no definite answer. We request to see the general manager never met, only the shift supervise at the reception who were giving us here and there answers. No food or drinks purchased outside is allow in the hotel room, if you have a visitor they can stay up 9:00PM they must leave, the bad in the room where I stayed are two quart beds!.... Safe in the room was not working reported that to reception nothing happened, while in meeting our access was terminated we came requested if they could allow us to access the rooms só could get our bags by time of departure, they agreed then when I returned from the mall security come to the room told that I should present myself to reception, tried to call the phone was not working, 2min down line the security guy come knocking that I must follow him to the reception. Now was being treated like I have committed a crime, then got to reception was talking to lady then was informed that they called the agent asked them what for, they replied for the bill of extras hours, but then no one told me about it any I will pay, cool then I received a call from my director asking me why did refuse to vacate the room? Was puzzled and ask her, why would i refuse to vacate the room if I'm leaving for SA? I paid the extra cost but the scars remain with me. The unpleasant and unforgetabble experience, I believe things don't change because that the only 4 star hotel in the country. Next time that I'm in lesotho, I will stay somewhere else. I hope the management is aware of situation do something.

Had a good week spent at the Avani on business in late March 2023. Rooms were good size, well stocked and kept very clean. All the things you'd need for a comfortable stay. Service was very good, and I was honestly perplexed at the reviews discussing slow or inadequate responses to requests. Everyone to a person was friendly, responsive and did their best to respond. Breakfast was quite a spread of options to chose and different each day. I had dinner most evenings while working at the bar (yes actually working) and the selection of menu items did not disappoint. Food was always spot on, hot and again, easy to make changes or modifications to address dietary restrictions. Would visit again no question. Only challenge is it isn't in the city, so any venturing requires so effort.

Was sent away when I was 10 minutes early for breakfast. Then, I was chastised for grabbing a random spoon to serve as no serving spoon was available. Staff think and act like they are running a school canteen. Rude and poorly trained hospitality staff make for lousy experience in this beautiful country.

The room was nice, the service was appalling from the check-in, we queued for 30 minutes and the staff were selective in terms of who they provided services to (racial discrimination from observation per training) took 20 minutes before being served at the restaurant.

Had one of the worst stays at Avani hotel and casino, staff not very pleased looking (looks unhappy) They had over booked them selves so settled for a room with less value Doesnt do the bare minimum of greeting. Customer services is horrific had to wait an hour + for a cocktail and almost 2 hours for my main meal. Beds are extremely uncomfortable, resorted on sleeping on the floor. Carpets across the hotel extremely dirty and has stains, 60% of the time lift do not work. Aircons leak water onto the carpet leaving the room smell extremely bad. Room services is also has unreliable as all their services. The food is really not the best tasting. Housekeeping ladies just walk into your room with no knocking. overall a very unpleasant stay at Avani

Rooms and environment are great, just don't eat there! The food is really not acceptable. We were a big group and on our final night we went to town, bought fast food and ate in the carpark!

ALL -- 100%!! -- of General Manager responses to reviews, good or bad, are "canned" and very "patronizing", i.e. it's a daily or weekly routine task that the GM must do but seems very likely he/she really has no heart in fixing underlying problems.

Hotel needs renovation and upkeeping. The exterior and pool area not inviting. Hotel carpets not so clean but the beds make up for a peaceful sleep.

We stayed here only one night as we were driving to AfriSki. The hotel is nice and clean. they are still wearing mask indoors for covid purpose, feels like something we already forgot about it. But no problem we had some masks in the car for times like this. Staff is friendly, very helpful especially the security personnel. They went out if their way and helped us with anything we needed. Unfortunately I forgot their names but the other one even assisted me clearing empty bottles and papers out of my car. Restaurant menu is a little bit limited. But we ended up going for buffet dinner. Food was good, we enjoyed it. I had a cocktail from their menu called Sematsatsa. Don’t order that. It is not nice at all, very strong and bitter.

It's a beautiful place however the service is terrible we booked a day prior but when we got there we had to sit I lobby for four hours because they overbooked themselves and we had no room. No one was paying attention to us until we demanded to see the manager who also was nit to helpful. Eventually we had to settle for twin rooms.

I arrived with my take away lunch from a day hiking and i was stopped at the securities and told i am not allowed to come in with it. On arrival, this was not communicated to me and i have been to the hotel several times and this did not happen. What was even more disappointing is that even after the hotel manager was called, she couldnt assist or make an exception. So I am staying here for 13 nights and I am tempeted to just check out even before that time and go to another accommodation because Wooow☹

I had a wonderful time here, the people are so kind in Lesotho, the food was great. Everything from malls and food outlets are just nearby. But all the iconic landmarks in Lesotho are hours away.

The staff is helpful and friendly. The food is delicious, best veggies ever. The pool area is clean and spacious for accommodation of many people. There are chairs to sit and umbrellas for shade
