Wow, what an incredible hike and reward at the end. Even though I'm pretty fit, I found this hike fairly tough. I was able to get my rental car all the way up to the lot but the roads are bumpy and under construction. I presented my weekly site pass, as well. Almost immediately, you cross a small stream with a few others along the way. For me, it was about 45 minutes straight up through rocks, logs, mud and roots. Then, about five minutes of flat walking where you’ll come to a head. Stay to the left and start your descent. About 15-20 minutes down, and it's very steep. At one point, after the wooden steps you'll hit a steam with large rocks. I almost couldn't tell where to go but you have to cross over all the large rocks and continue straight down, using your hands in some spots. Use caution on rocks near the waterfall, they're super slippery. Also, wasn't able to go down to swim. I wasn't clear which way and I was the only one there so I wanted to be safe. I wore regular tennis shoes but hiking shoes would've helped tremendously. Waterfall is stunning and the nature is so peaceful!

This is the best short trip hiker for cruise ship travelers, near the ship and lovely rainforest trail.

I really liked the hike. There are some muddy, slippery and slightly difficult parts so maybe not the best hike e.g. for elderly. You do not need a guide, there is no way to get lost. We didn't dare to drive the rental car all the way to the beginning of the hike (there was some construction work for a hotel ongoing and road condition was not great) so we walked for 15 mins on road prior to the actual hike. The hike itself there and back (plus some time at the falls) took us ca 1 h 45 mins.

Well maintained trail through mature rainforest with impressive buttress roots on huge kapok trees. Many birds including Jaco parrots, also saw land crabs and lizards. Note: at gazebo trail junction turn left to go down to falls.

The Middleham Falls are really a magic place! It's not just the Falls, it's the way to get there. It's amazing to step up the hill and having all these stunning and different views over the jungle. You got to be a bit trained to do the way with the countless wooden steps, but it's worth it!

Beautiful trail with mind blowing views and spectacular finish. After parking your car at the beginning of trail, where there is well maintained toilet. You will follow signs and after a 45 minutes of easy walk you will reach a destination and I can guarantee, you will be impressed by a surrounding landscape, which come to me like a scene from Jurassic Park. On the way back I was looking around if I can spot some pterodactyl or if there is triceratops hiding in the woods. Do not hesitate and go see all the beauty ;)

Absolutely beautiful, very tall waterfall with very clear refreshing water pools that you can take a dip in. However - I’d definitely rate this as a moderate hike that takes 1 hour to get there. It begins with going uphill for a while via wooden and rock steps, my heart was pumping and we were sweating - it gets easier midway through but then as you approach the falls there’s quite a bit of scrambling on rocks, especially to get to the pools. It’s worth it highly recommend, but I think the reviews saying this is an easy hike are a little misleading

No easy walk thats for sure. Takes a good hour of up and down trek which will defo get sweat going. Worth it if out for the day as area to swim below the falls.

Did this hike in the pouring rain, in water sandals. It was a fun, muddy hike! The last water crossing was really sketchy but if not raining would be fine. Road to it under construction but fine for any suv or bigger.

Quite a hard demanding walk/climb to reach the falls, but at the same time very rewarding and fun. Takes about 45 mins each way but these are physical 45 mins. We heard some amazing bird songs, not sure what birds, but it was magical

A little bit difficult to reach; prepare some extra energy... took me 30 minutes to get there from the bus' parking lot, however, the view was worth the hike.

Stunning waterfall with an intermediate/easy hike of 30-45min. There’s 2 pools where you can swim & relax

Watched some Americans doing this hike in a regular sneaker. I wouldn't even recommend that. Mud, roots, moss covered rocks. Enjoy.

Visited here on a cruise ship excursion. Took a short guided hike through a deep jungle canopy and had a fantastic waterfall payoff at the end. Getting to the park by car there was a little scary since the roads are narrow but we arrived and returned alive!

One of the highest falls in Dominica. If you go for a swim you will experience the wind generated by the falls. It is only a moderate 30 minute hike from the parking spot.
