Beautiful design made from fine native woods aged over 150 years. I love how spacious it is inside and the light is very good. Recommended to visit in Wellington.

Wonderful little old church in the middle of busy Wellington CBD. Kudos to the staff for maintaining it properly and keeping the surrounding clean and tidy. Souvenir shop has some cool stuff if you want to take some thing back home for memories. Lovely staff on-site.

I must admit I was skeptical about this. But it surprised me in a very nice way! Well worth it to take a quick visit. Definitely open the drawers in the back right!

It’s a pure wood architecture. I was recommended by someone I met in the new Saint Paul cathedral to visit here, and it totally worth the trip. It’s smaller than the new church but the atmosphere and environment is really nice. Some people are rehearsing the piano and violin in the church and the performance was fantastic!

This felt so wrong. I love Old Saint Paul's. It has been a family favorite for decades. I haven't been for quite a while. I needed to let the memory of sad moments there, fade a little. I went back yesterday. I was told that to enter (a church)' I "had to" give a donation.' - firstly if "i have to pay for it", it's not a donation, its a floating rate. Secondly its a church, this is sacred space and should be free. Yes the need money for upkeep, but have some faith and let god guide people support the space. Make a separate space, even another building to explain why the money is needed and the journey of the church. While we are on the topic of doing things that make the space feel unsacred. Why are they playing horror movies there? Why are they playing horrible, non relevant music? Why are they talking loudly and not remembering that this was once a house of god. For goodness sake, have some respect.. They building is lovely. The space, beautiful as ever. But if you are looking for that vibe of divinity that Old Saint Pauls use to have in spades, save your money, they've killed it.

St Paul's is tucked away in a back street but definitely worth the visit. It is one of the most beautiful churches I have seen, the wood gives it a warmth that makes it so inviting . There is a digital display history of the history and features of the church. When in Wellington check this out

Wonderful old church. Not Westminster Abbey, but a delightful experience. Full of local history, and magical atmosphere.

Absolutely lovely wooden Church (now only used for weddings). Only slightly frustrated that we didn’t get free admission because we are English Heritage members - they had no idea we should have. But actually a pleasure to donate anyway to such an historic and unique building

After being closed to the public for several years and surviving the construction of the new cathedral a few blocks away, this wonderful church has reopened its doors. I recently attended a musical performance, and was truly amazed at the beauty of the wooden construction and the artistic details inside. It is a real gem in the heart of the city. If you're in Wellington, it's one of the city's historical and architectural highlights, which I highly recommend visiting.

Wonderful cathedral all made of timber. One has the idea of a wooden boat upside down..

A fabulous little church where you can quietly just be yourself and talk to your heart. Love the great artistic pictures on windows glasses, and the beautiful timber works with great details.

Open until 3pm and is free of charge. It is recommended to make a donation for the upkeep of this old church. The inside is incredible with wooden arches and tainted glasses. It feels like going back in time. There is also a wooden organ which they still use. We were lucky that day to see a pianist practicing with it so we could hear the beautiful sound. There is also a toilet inside if ever you need to use once you visit the church. This is really a must-visit when in Welly. It is near the Beehive 'Parliament' so you shoumd never miss this.

What a lovely church in Wellington, at first glance from the outside it appears to be your average church but when you walk inside everything unfolds, I was amazed by the architecture and the lovely people that showed us some of the quirks of the church. Also included is a Christmas shop with pretty looking stock. The whole inside is wooden and it is so beautiful, will remember this place. Overall, if your interested in history, architecture, shopping or worshiping. Come here and enjoy yourself!

A beautiful cathedral located in Wellington CBD. It is the oldest church in Wellington and place to worship for Christians. The church was opened in 1866 and open since then. The design and architect is beautiful and still in the original form. It is 151 year old building (in 2017) and yet so beautiful. A must visit place if you like visiting churches and old building. This one is must.

Wonderful wooden church with altar stained glass windows focus. Roomy inside and good bathrooms outside with enough facilities to accommodate major events eg weddings and funerals.
