You have to pay for the entry ticket to climb up the hill. The entry ticket is cheap, only IDR 10,000. You can go there by car or motorcycle. The road is full of sand, so you have to be really careful when you ride a motorcycle. On the way to the hill, I saw a tourist fell of the motorcycle and her feet got sprained. That's why I recommend you to go there by car. You have to walk around 30-45 minutes to get to the hillside. There are many monkey on the hill, so take a good care of your belongings.

This is a stunning location and walk. One can drive to the entry and walk all the way to the end of the cape! A small fee is collected at the entry. The only issue and why it is 4 stars is that I spotted a number of plastic trash on the trails from people just throwing it down the hill. Keep the trash to yourself when visiting! Future visitors will thank you for it. Don't spoil a beautiful spot in Lombok. The grazing cows will thank you too for not accidentally landing some plastics in their diet. As you walk towards the cape, spot the pristine beaches on both sides. Some of them might be tricky to get down to so go only if you are confident. At the end of the cape, there's a nice sandbar connected to an outcrop, quite a beauty! Seems like the scene changes depending on the seasons too, so it's a fresh spot to visit.

Beautiful view of south Lombok. Walk along teletubbies-hill hill look-alike. Be careful of cow dungs though 🐮 If you arriving at LOP in the morning or afternoon, suggest to visit this place first. It is south to the airport while the town and other places of interest are on the northern/western part of Lombok

Very nice and easy trail to do, not to much people. The beaches was beautiful. They asked us to pay entrees 10k each. If you go, be sure to have a driver waiting for you or rent scooter because no taxi there and you have to walk more than 1hour to reach the nearest civilization. Even the locals at the entrance offer you 100k to be driving to Kuta in scooter (10min drive).

Great views. Best at sunset since there's no shade trees here. It's best to be gone by dark since there's no street lamps, and some people have reported being harassed after dark.

Watching sunset view from here was really amazing! Although the day when I come was a cloudy day, I still can enjoy a nice waving sound from here. If you planning a cozy picnic, this place will be a good recommendation. Just remember to keep your trash and do not littering. Cheers!

Initially wanted to go to Batu Payung Beach but I heard from locals that it didn’t exist anymore. So, I went to Merese Hill instead to enjoy sunset. It was a short escape to the Hill and I enjoyed it very much.

Beautiful view and perfect place for a relaxing hike or swim. You can climb multiple hills and see the sunset above Kuta. Parking fee: 10k for scooter

Beautiful views in all directions. Can see both sunset and sunrise over different bays. Some locals come here to fly eagles, which are very impressive when they fly up close.

A local recommended to visit Bukit Merese. It is such a good spot to watch the ocean. Really relaxing and such a calming atmosphere. A farmer was chilling with his cows on top of the hill. Check the pics/vids for inspiration. We came by scooter and had to pay 10k for parking. There is one little local shop selling drinks/snacks for reasonable prices. Don't miss this place if you are around Kuta.

Great view for the sunset. It’s actually a very beautiful place, minus all the garbage. The only downside is the scammers in the parking lot asking for “10k for parking”. I’m 99% sure they are not official. Considering there is garbage everywhere and the parking area isn’t well kept, I have no idea what you’re paying for. But it’s a pretty smart hustle I gotta hand it to them. The view for the sunset is amazing though. Worth being hustled for 10k, but it rubbed me the wrong way being hassled for parking when I was quite sure it was a scam.

One of the best views in Kuta Lombok with or without a sunset (other spot is at Ashtari Yoga). If you want to catch the sunset I suggest getting there at least half an hour early for two reasons: 1) the sun sets behind hills so if you're late you'll probably miss it, and 2) it can get crowded and if you want a good spot you'll have to claim it (there were around 150 people during the sunset on a weekday; mix of locals and tourists). The atmosphere is a bit festive (kind of like a small country fair) with vendors selling BBQ corn, snacks and beer. There is a new road that will take you all the way up to the top via car or scooter--no hiking required. Entrance fee collected by locals was 10k rupiah (felt a bit scammy but not any different than parking access at the local beaches).

It's was outstanding panaroma that should be the best things in Lombok! A little bit climb to reach there but it worth! There are several shops selling water and cloth from the local people. They will always approach you and if you don't want to just say thank you. Have a nice day 😉

    24. April 23 Beautiful place that you should visit when you are in Lombok. Especially for sunset. It was magical. One of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen. It’s gonna be crowdy on peak season and even more on weekends. Recommend to go a bit before sunset time, so you can take your time to check for a good spot.Sadly there was quiet a lot garbage. If you are having a picnic on the hill, please take your rubbish.

It’s a good place, nice people, lovely supi, with some friendly and not so friendly monkeys. The views are spectacular. You can even get yourself a bracelet from some kids at a reasonable prices as well.

  • 5/5 Dan E. 4 years ago on Google
Amazing place to watch the sunset. 10k parking fee and you can buy a couple of cold beers too. Lots of different areas to explore and deserted beaches if you’re feeling brave enough to hike down to them. Careful with the monkeys that will run over to steal your food!

Actually the places is good and refreshing, the wind blow cooly even when it's in the heat of afternoon! But sadly, because of a long dry season without rain in the past few months the hill is not green and more to brown. Some tips, come here when the dry season is over so you'll get more awesome picture :)

  • 4/5 Markus T. 7 months ago on Google
Really nice view, short walks and beautiful hidden and empty beaches. Sunset must be great from up there. There are monkeys as well but they won’t come near to you. Sadly there was quiet a lot garbage.

Such a cool place to watch a sunset! Better to come at 16.50 and explore all hills, bring water with you! ❤️‍🔥 Crazy cool views

  • 4/5 62totheworld 1 year ago on Google
It’s beautiful sunset hills (bukit) but honestly for me too crowded. I believe most people in kuta Lombok gathered here for sunset time. Motorbike has to pay 10k for parking no entrance fee needed. It was a bit confusing the road by google map when we went there because there were many construction going on on the way to the hill.

  • 5/5 Felix O. 4 months ago on Google
Incredible Viewpoint! A little fun "hike" but with views all the way. From here you can reach lonely beaches. If you are in Lombok i can only recommend going there. The hills themselfes reminded me of rohan in the lord of the rings.

  • 5/5 Divya G. 8 months ago on Google
What a lovely sunset point. The hike is almost a short walk and there is plenty of places to view the sunset from, and also accommodate the crowd (we went on a Sunday so the place was quite packed - but this isn’t really a problem because of the area). Definitely recommend the drive from any part of Lombok, which is a beautiful comfortable drive full of tree canopies and views of adjacent rice fields.

  • 5/5 Ho Sang C. 4 years ago on Google
The best sunset view in Lombok. Seems to be local favorite sunset spot too, and not many tourists as expected. Plenty of space for you to choose your perfect photo sitting spot too.

  • 5/5 Tara F. 3 months ago on Google New
went here several times to see sunrise and still amazing! after they make a road and we end up in half of the hill is brilliant! i hope it also dont bother and destroy the original shape of the hill and people live near it. i hope the cows are also happy!

  • 5/5 Shrinidhi H. 4 years ago on Google
nice place for sunset. Scenic views all along. Not much facilities are available but you will find vendors selling tender coconut, mango, pineapple and such stuff. Seems some construction is planned- I am guessing some hotel or resort would come up soon. Beware of monkeys- though I didn't find them that aggressive as I had seen elsewhere.

Merese Hill is perfect to spend at sunset. seeing the sun's light slowly descending from the top of the hill makes this place the best place to see the sun. high hills make the journey perhaps more difficult at the start of the climb.

  • 5/5 Ace 2 years ago on Google
I usually visit this place at noon, to enjoy the sunset and to realize how beautiful my little island that I live in. The entrance cost 5.000 Rupiah, if the local person charge u more than that, you got scam. Have a nice holiday

This is definitely the best place to catch sunset. Access to this place was very difficult. Had to ask local villagers for the path. But it was all paid off when we witnessed a beautiful sunset.

  • 4/5 Wira A. W. 2 years ago on Google
Beautiful view! We unfortunately came when it was really cloudy, so no sunset for us. The monkeys won't attack you if you don't show your food, the vendors are quite annoying but you can easily give them the cold shoulder.

  • 4/5 Karel P. 2 years ago on Google
A short hike up the hill for an awesome view of the coast line. We visited near to the sun setting in. Beautiful. Totally worth it for a quick short stop.

  • 3/5 Bing S. 2 years ago on Google
Minimal public facilities if any. Some food stalls and souvernir vendors follows you relentlessly around the parking area. However the view from up the hill during sunset is amazing. Supposedly sunrise is as amazing but I was there for the sunset.

  • 5/5 Laras L. 2 years ago on Google
Less than 1km from the parking lot you will see an incredible view. I went there at 6pm and there was sunset even it was raining. This place is really worth to climb. Not far from the edge u can use the swinger. I highly recommend this place. I will come back.

Beautiful place, amazing view. The road to this place is a bit confusing since there are still construction here and there. Entrace fee for a vehicle is 10k Rupiah. Please please please if you’re done with whatever you eat or drink, bring the garbage with you. Keep it clean people!

  • 4/5 Prasetya jati hutama n. 2 years ago on Google
Great place to watch the sunset, but they allowed motorcycle like trail come up here. It’s very annoying to hear their muffler noise and pretty dangerous walking while they ride around the hill. The entrace fee was 5k per vehicle and only short walk uphill about 3-5 minutes.

  • 5/5 Felix F. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely love this place, highly recommended. Amazing indian ocean view, best time to come here is 4:30 pm until dark to enjoy nice beautiful sunset, the tickets price is cheap only 5000 IDR for motorcycle and 10.000IDR for a car (per car not per person so for example there's 6 person inside you only pay 10k thats incredible) thats it no extra payment inside like parking or entrance to the hill, no need to worry about parking, it have plenty of place to park your car, the only thing i dont like is there's to many kids selling souvenirs there, because the force you to buy it, say no nicely doesn't work, they will stay there with you until you buy it, beside that everything is nice here Note : go to higher hill to get more beautiful view and less people

  • 5/5 ian s. 2 years ago on Google
This place have gorgeous landscape. Its easy to access. The sunset its perfect from here. You should go to corner of the hill, its best place to chill and enjoy the sunset. If you want enjoy with some drink you should bring it by yourself. Because no merchant around. But remember to bring back the trash with you. Keep clean.

  • 5/5 taufik h. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing views. I can see 3 beaches from here. We can go here on foot (consequences after that: big effort to climb) or by boat (IDR 200.000) from Aan Beach.

  • 4/5 Neru k. 4 years ago on Google
Great place for sunset, you must hike to find the best spot. Anyway, you have watch your food because the 'local', monkeys try steal it form you. It would be great if in rainy season, because the grass more greenier

Beautiful place, you should visit this after visiting Mandalika circuit. Even though some sites are still under construction, we still keep enjoy the athmosphere. Entrance fee is free, mobil parking IDR 10,000 only

  • 5/5 Yulifar W. 1 year ago on Google
The place finds its popularity reinvented as the Mandalika Circuit development is completed and seemingly promoted by none other than Marc Marquez himself. The place offers exceptional view of the surrounding beaches as some view points are available on it. Bear in mind that the magnificent view generally presents only during clear weather, so it’s wise to check the weather forecast before planning for a visit, let alone the possibility of lightning strikes. Access to the place is quite easy, and even easier (hopefully) in the future as some visible developments are in process. Both car and motorcycle can reach the place and will be charged Rp10.000 for car and Rp5.000 for motorcycle respectively. Recommended place!!!

  • 5/5 anggia r. 2 years ago on Google
Beautiful place, the view is amazing!! The hike is not too hard only about 20 minutes from parking area
