We found the caves by accident on the way to Mawun Beach and it was the best thing that could happen to us during our trip!! As soon as we saw the caves we decided to stop and check it out and we were greeted so kindly by the owners of the restaurants who proceeded to introduce us to the tours of the caves and being in there was incredible! It was a very memorable experience and one of the coolest things to do in Lombok. There are millions of bats and if you stay till 6pm you can watch the bats fly out of the cave. It's a spectacle worth seeing! The owners of the place really care about the cave and protecting its natural integrity. They also made us feel totally welcome and at home. I will certainly come back next time I visit Lombok. 😁

Really cool cave near Kuta! Don't go here if you are afraid of bats and/or cockroaches, as there are tens of thousands of both. The owner and his staff were super friendly and we had lunch in his restaurant after our cave exploration. The food is very delicious and well priced! Definitely one of the coolest attractions in the Kuta area!

It's an adventure, be prepared to sink in bat poo while being surrounded by hundreds of friendly cockroaches. If you're really lucky, you can see a 3m long python above your head, climbing the cave (but it is a bit shy, so don't expect to see it all the time). The cave is beautiful, totally worth the visit. Entry is 60k including helmet and juice

Let me help clear things up, there are 2 caves in this area, Goa Sumur and this one, Goa sumur is basically just a hole in the ground and one big cavern. This cave system is much better and complete. Edi was our guide, 60k for a guide, flashlight, helmet and a juice at the end. Definitely well worth the money. Our guide was great, took some great photos for us and explained a lot of interested things. BE READY FOR THE SMELL. They do provide masks which is nice. Obviously bat droppings are everywhere and you will get peed on. That’s a given. So many cockroaches, don’t come if you have a phobia. Overall a really cool visit. Recommended for the adventurous traveler.

Enjoyable experience if your staying in Kuta Lombok. We was unsure whether to go because some comments said they shine the torch at the sleeping bat's and it's cruel but we didn't think it was cruel. They very briefly shine the light at the bat's and don't shine it back at the same bat's again. Thousands of bat's and very cool cave system. Recommend

very good! this place is very unique, there are stairs that have been repaired to be stronger, while at the bottom of this cave there are many cockroaches everywhere, other small animals, and bats. this place can be very smelly because of the many bats.

Bat Cave is definitely must visit place in Lombok. In entrance we were charged 35 .000Rp per person , i think its a bit too much for 10 minutes walk but its worth it anyway. This cave have thousands of bats and fantastic lights and colours.

Very small cave and not much to see, but very atmospheric and well worth the enterence fee to the the shaft of sunlight illuminated by the smoke in the cave. Friendly English speaking staff. Use Google maps to find it as the signpost on the road is easy to miss

Great and thrilling experience Found this place by accident while exploring things to do in Lombok Entrance is 60K and you'll get a local guide, safety helmet, mask (mandatory to filter the unpleasing smell of thousands of bat's poo), and boots It was an exciting experience, thirilling and amaze to be able to saw thousand of bats. Not to mention the hill's surrounding (restaurant, villas, and the gardens) are all well maintenanced Recommended for you to try something different while in Lombok

For 60k per person you get a welcome drink, a guide, hard hat and they’re also willing to take some nice pictures of you. The cave is awesome but there are thousands of cockroaches so be prepared and wear trainers. Great experience

The visit is very interesting. Best time to see "the light from god" is between 1 and 2pm. To see the bats fly out of the cave it's at 6pm. Our guide Eddy was very passionate and knowledgeable. We definitely recommend this place to visit!

Place was amazing. It has a strong smell and cockroaches on the floor. But it's bat cave what do you expect. Entrance fee to all the cave was 50k IDR. Local guide will show all the caves. Before that they gave us helmets and boots.. ( very useful) there is no best time to visit that cave... We read some reviews on Google that best Time is 12 to 1 pm but when we reached no sunrays were there. So guide kept us waiting for 1hour and tadaa..! Strong sunrays were passing through that cave... It was magical😍.. I love this place..

Omg this place is insane!! You can see so many bats flying out of the cave all at once at 6pm. Thousands of them! It's a fantastic thing to see. If you go inside the cave you can see them in there too. Really close. There are also coacroaches in there which makes for a spooky but amazing experience. Highly recommend.

For 60k per person, you receive a tour, a refreshing drink and a intense (and stinky) experience. You will receive a pair of boots as the cave is covered in bat poo, so you won’t ruin your shoes. The tour is awesome as we saw many bats, baby bats, gecko eggs. Be prepared for a thousand of cockroaches as well. Due to the smelliness, you really want to fresh up after the tour, however we did not find any hand soap in the toilet to wash our hands.

Not very friendly for local tourist. They charge 50k/pax for entrance. It can provide for 2x meals.

When the surf wasn't good enough, we looked for nearby things and found this cave. We got there and the price was 60k which sounded high. We bargained a little but it would have been worth the 60k. It was secluded and the light coming through the openings made it a very peaceful and beautiful spot, despite the millions of bats and cockroaches. If you don't like bats, don't worry because you have to travel deeper into the cave where it's darker to be at risk of being touched or pooped on; the beginning is beautiful and safe.
