It is close from Pototano Seaport +- 22 minute (16 km) to Dusun Tapir Dalam, Seteluk After driving in a very bad road from Dusun Tapir Dalam up to the peak around 15 minutes we arrived so late around 9. Set up our tent in front of a graveyard. Hah! The big one were surrounded by wall fence but the small complex had no fence and right behind our tent! There was only one solar sell road lamp in the corner of the big graveyard. It was so dark. There were only two of us women, We were so lucky the driver & his friends from pak Agus ( our ranger owner) stayed with us after we asked. To make it eerie a dog kept howling at the background with the sound type I never heard off. However, the view of the seaport from a distance and the night sky full of stars above. Absolutely stunning! Could not really fall asleep as the wind blew so strong and we had no soil to nail our tent. The sound of our tent porch flaging nonston I thought the tent stayed because we were inside nailed it. All the hussle during the night paid off when in the morning we woke up looked out our door tent. A SPECTACULAR view with sunrise and cloud below us! You could even be able to see Rinjani in a distance. Tips. If you are scareful, do not spend the nigh at weekdays. You would hardly see other people than youself.. Also if you love your motorbyke, you should leave it below at pak Agus' house. The steepy road is so bad . Return ranger from Dusun Tapir is 100K. I like to thanks people of Mantar who had been so nice to help us pushing the car when it did not want to start..even the lady gave me local cucumber..it is not about the gift, it is about the people who have left a good impression on visitors which is so valuable Beautiful scenery & lovely people

One of the best place for sightseeing and sunrising in West Sumbawa. The scenery is really nice. On the northwest you can see the view of west coast of the island. You can see Lombok island as well and its Rinjani mountain. Locals here says Mantar is a place above the clouds, which is true. On the east, when the sun is rising, you can see the clouds covering the hills while from above. It takes around one and half hour from Poto Tano port. Preferably using motorcycle or 4x4 car due to the road condition. Visitors is allowed to camp here. As for its facilities, this place has a proper toilet, a warung, and prayer room.

Mantar is one of the hills in Indonesia who called the land above the clouds. The landscape is beautiful, you can see the beach, the city, and also rinjani mountain from above. Mantar is the best spot for enjoy for camping, you can see how gorgeous the sunrise/sunset from these lands. But somehow the facility of mantar hill still not enough. You will difficult to find drinks/foods seller, the road is not asphalt, there are many loose rocks, there are no road safety fences, street lights, or even road routes. I think it's very dangerous if without good driving skills to get there. So I suggest using a shuttle service to go to the top for safety reasons.

Amazing sunset and sunrise spot on west sumbawa, it's incredibly beautiful hill, sea and rinjani mountain view up here with cold wind in the night and morning, the road is good like heaven now, really good, only in the village area near the cemetery the road is still bad, so if you planning to bring a family car here i dont think is possible, for jeep or other offroad car its possible but ofcourse with a pro driver. For the ticket i forget how much the charge me i think like 10k or 15k IDR to enter the camping area, and in the area there's a shop and food stall available and you can rent a tent there (price 80k IDR) its so nice because you can just bring yourself no need to bring anything. Local said this area is safe, no crime or anything bed here they said, not sure tho, but i think its safe here, so avoid to come here on Saturday night because its too crowded i can guarantee that you will not able to sleep till morning, people are party, singing the whole night, my local friends said it always like that on sat night.

MANTAR is not Former, you know 🤭 it deserves the nickname *The Land Above the Clouds*, a place that is really high and passes through pretty good asphalt roads that are uphill like Sembalun but this is more uphill than Sembalun and passes in the middle of residential areas, so it is RECOMMENDED to use a vehicle in prime condition, aka Good/Good for safe control. This Mantar is located in Mantar Village, Poto Tano District, West Sumbawa Regency. Approximately 1 hour drive from Poto Tano Harbor to Mantar
