Istana Dalam Loka is an icon of the Kingdom of Sumbawa which is full of history and social life, values of life, models of houses that are resistant to earthquakes, etc. Currently, it has become a tourist attraction for various local and international tourists. Istana Dalam Loka is also a pre-wedding photo center in Sumbawa and its surroundings

I love history, I love story of the princess Sumbawa. Eventhough this palace is not new, but still everything looks fine. The woods as the pillar is still strong and firm. It shows that the architecture of this building is amazing. The story teller was so friendly and answered our question very patienly.

Once the palace of Sumbawa Sultanate. It's just a wooden building with few collections inside. It needs more facilities.

One of the cultural monuments to be preserved. Unfortunately, management is not professional. There is almost no collection inside, so it does not have enough information.

The only highlight place to visit while you are in town, but even the interesting building can't keep up how boring the city is. Went there for visit and it goes looks great from the outside, once we strp in that's it, nothing really inside and although there's some information in the wall but isn't great. The guard ( caretaker)) told us that the original furniture are moved and whole place so empty. Would have great to see some replica in order to imagining how does it feels to be live in such place

If you like history, you should like this palace. Entrance fee as far as I experienced is free, you only need to put your name in the Guest Book. They have local guide in there, who will happily show you around and explain about the palace and the custom, as I experienced. The palace is easy to find, just beside the grand mosque. It's very popular in the city so you can just stop and ask the people and they will show you. Opening time is 08.00 to 17.00
