This is a small and pretty exclusive resort style hotel in Sengigi. The view at the beach front is nice and calming. But these are almost the only things that I would say is excellent about this hotel. The room is good but not great for a 5 star hotel at this price range. Marble floor has obvious stains, resting pillows have foul smell (not been washed for very long ). The shower gel, shampoo and conditioner do not seem to be befitting for a 5 star hotel. The a la carte breakfast is actually very bad. I can get better nasi goreng anywhere else for much cheaper any time of the day. Even the continental breakfast could be better: cheap sausages, cheap baked beans are all probably canned food. I do not recommend anyone to eat at the restaurant at this hotel.

We spent 4-nights at the Sudamala Resort at Senggigi and we left the place with a mixed review. Location-wise, it is a lot closer to the main town (about 5 minute drive) compared to most of the resorts in Senggigi. There is an Alfamart convenience store right in front of the entrance, which is truly convenient as the nearest big supermarket (Fresh Market) is about 7-10 minutes away. The resort felt a little cramped, especially if you choose rooms on the ground floor surrounding the restaurant and pool. We were fortunate to have gotten the pool villa, which was secluded, but further away from the oceanfront. The reception was warm when we arrived, a standard for most resorts in Indonesia. What truly caught us off guard was how musty and wet-smelling the room was - almost as if it had been left unaired for the longest time. Perhaps they should start airing all their rooms to ensure this does not happen, especially when tourism is slowly healing as people are beginning to flock to Lombok. We shared our concern over the smell of the room, and the reply that was given was that it was the smell of the new roofs. The best solution they could give us was to downgrade us to the rooms in front - which was not really an option we were going to consider. We decided to stay put and air it on our own as much as we could. The breakfast was not buffeted, and you are only allowed to order one item from the ala-carte menu. They offered happy hours for the cocktails, which was great, but the cocktail-making department may need a little more retraining - cocktails were a little shy of being called one. The only saving grace during our cocktail hour was the friendly staff who kept us company, thank you Dewa Atra for your service! Overall, the experience was a mixed one. I guess it will take some time to get back into the full swing of service and meet the expectations of guests that booked Sudamala Resorts with the impression of it being 5 stars.

Sunsets from the beachfront infinity pool at Sudamala Resort were just the beginning of a 5-star experience. Delicious bites fueled our days of exploring nearby Senggigi, while attentive staff took care of everything, from booking tours to scheduling blissful spa treatments. This tropical haven truly earned its stellar rating with its stunning location, luxurious amenities, and unforgettable service - I can't wait to return!

7 night stay in the ocean/ sunset view room, view and sunsets amazing, staff excellent very helpful and friendly and spent time getting to know guests, including the chef, sadly the main town is a bit rundown and some shops and restaurants closed and not re-opened following the earthquake and Covid, but it’s fighting to get back to normal. Room was fairly large with separate dressing area shower and wc, an outside garden bathroom with double ended bath. Local family run Molly’s bar 3 min walk to the left great little bar with great food. Great spa throughly enjoyed our treatments. Staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, and Indra gave us great tips for our next destination (Gili T island) as he worked there pre Covid. Room sunset view amazing, quiet peaceful, well appointed with all amenities you require even mosquito lotion,

Sudamala Hotel is a gem, mainly thanks to its awesome staff. They're super genuine, even let us chill in our room for a late check-out without any extra charge. The spa's pretty nice, although a bit pricey. The restaurant's got a tasty and varied menu. Overall, it's a solid spot for a relaxed and luxurious stay!

Our room was lovely and all staff were fantastic. The food was excellent and the view and sunsets over the sea while enjoying a cocktail or meal was my type of holiday.

This resort is so beautiful and amazing. Soon as you leave the lobby you are surrounded by lush tropical garden and you feel like you are in a paradise. It is located on a beautiful beach where you can truly relax and enjoy a drink or meal. The staff are so kind and attentive and the food is beautifully presented and is delicious. Chef Juandi and his staff cook up extraordinary meals that you feel temped to take pics of. We traveled in a group of 18 and stayed for 2 nights of out our 14 day trip and to date everyone agrees that it was our favorite hotel. On our last night Chef Juandi and his staff prepared for all of us a family meal highlighting local favorites and it too was our best meal to date. The rooms are beautiful with the most comfortable beds ever! We loved our stay and highly recommend it if staying in Lombok.

We came here unplanned, due to issue with our initial other hotel booking. Ended up staying in narmada villa with ocean view for 2 nights. The villa was nice with terrace and just few steps to the pool and private beach. What special from this hotel is its service. It’s not big resort with only ~30 villas hence I feel the service is very personalised. The staff recognised us and always friendly interacted with us throughout our stay. They’re also accommodative to guest requests. I also found they serve one of the best nachos. I enjoyed a lot the private beach.

Local 5 star resort. Strategic location on Senggigi Beach area. Quiet and easy to access other places. Service is friendly & helpful as befitting a 5 star Resort. It does not cover a very large area but good enough for a short holiday stay. Beautiful sunset view facing the beach. Chef Juandi cooks up an amazing variety of delicious local & fusion food. Morning breakfast is ala carte and villas are 2 storey type with some facing the inner courtyard, sunset view or ocean villa. Clean & spacious rooms with balcony. If you want to experience simple luxury, this is a good quiet place. Not a huge resort.

The most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed. Throughout the resort the vibe is understated luxury. The generous rooms are equipped with comfy super king size bed and a large balcony. I stayed in two separate rooms, they each had a fridge, kettle, tea and coffee, safe, drinking water, high quality shampo and conditioner. The restaurant has delicious food at very reasonable prices and the bar is well stocked. The ocean view is sublime. Every staff member is unbelievably helpful and keen to assist. I cannot recommend the Sudamala highly enough.

The hotel is 1 hour away from the airport. Got upgraded to sea view room from panaromic room. The room is big and clean. Toilet is huge! There is small private garden with bathtub. Love it. Had dinner in the resort as there is nothing much nearby. The buffet dinner was fantastic, the satay and skewers pair extremely well with the sauces. They have dance performance at 8pm. The show adds colours to the dinner. Love the fire dance. Bravo to the performers.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days and it was absolutely amazing. The room was clean and incredibly comfortable, the resort was stunning, and the service was fantastic. I wish we could’ve stayed longer! The food for both breakfast and dinner was great and the services at the spa were wonderful. If you’re looking for a resort that has it all and for a really affordable price, I’d highly recommend Sudamala!

My husband and I had a wonderful time here. We originally only stayed for 4 nights but changed our travel plans to come back for another 3. The rooms are lovely, clean and spacious. The food is delicious and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We loved the location and the option of swimming in the pool or the beach. Great that you can do a bit of surfing right out front at the beach too. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in Lombok.

We had an amazing time here on our honeymoon - our favourite out of the three places we stayed. Staff were very friendly, talented (bar and restaurant staff performed in the evenings sometimes) and couldn't do enough for us. Facilities were excellent, food was great and it was easy to arrange excursions and boat trips. Would highly recommend a stay here for relaxation and refreshment.

Just wow, a fabulous small hotel with fabulous attentive staff. We spent 8 days here and to be honest could have stayed longer. We had a downstairs room (216) overlooking the pool area and also the beach, the room was fantastic with everything one needs for your stay, massive bed with the most comfortable pillows ensuring a good night’s sleep! The outdoor shower was amazing we also had an indoor one as well. At night the bedsheets were turned back and fresh cookies placed next to your bed along with a short story about local folklore, an interesting read. More than enough sunbeds for the guests and you could get one at any time of the day. We had booked bed and breakfast, no buffet breakfast, you selected off the menu and everything was cooked fresh and to our liking, coffee - we stuck to cappuccino and this was one of the best we have had. We were not going to eat at the hotel every night but the quality and presentation of the food served was amazing hence we felt we did not need to look elsewhere. The head chef checked in with you during every meal to ensure you where happy with the food served, a nice touch, we attended two theme nights and thoroughly enjoyed them along with the Balinese tasting menu, again outstanding. If you want late nights and partying this is not the place for you but if you want top quality accommodation, excellent food and attentive staff this certainly is the place to go. A special mention must go to the entertainment provided by the two fire eating waiters, just brilliant and you could tell they had put a lot of effort into perfecting their act. Emir one of the best waiters by far, nothing was too much trouble for him, and what a smile he had, always happy! however all staff at the hotel deserve a mention for there faultless service and attentiveness. Thank you we will certainly returning in the future.

This resort is absolutely top, the best one we have ever visited! Located just on the beach with beautiful view to the sunset. The rooms are spacious, so stylish, beds very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner are so delicious, and all drinks as well. Staff is so lovely, communicative and helpful, they always gave us good recommendation and it was simply pleasure to talk to them. Swimming pool just excellent, you can also find great surfing coaches right beside the hotel. And if you want to see turtles, you don't need to swim far from the hotel. Going to Senggigi town is cheap and convenient if you use Grab. We enjoyed every minute of our stay in this resort, fantastic! It's really hard for me to express how magical this holiday was.

Absolutely loved our honeymoon stay at the Sudamala. The resort has a lovely personal vibe. The staff are all very friendly. Good food options throughout the day, excellent cocktails and mocktails. The highlight of our stay was the satay night, all the food was outstanding, in particular the squid and the staff put on a show of traditional dances followed by an incredible fire dance. We also had a romantic dinner for two which was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding. Our room was always clean and there was plenty of space around the pool. Highly recommended.

From the time we were picked up at the airport to the time we were dropped off back at the airport, the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and always so friendly and sharing their experiences. We hired a staff car with driver, Mr Supreman, whose knowledge of the area was phenomenal. He took us to places in the South that we would not have got to if we had gone on our own. The rooms were great, the food delicious, the position great and all round an amazing experience, to be repeated next year so we can explore the north of the island.

Great place for vacation, good relaxing ambient since I entered the resort, the room is great, the staff is helpful and cheerful, the food from the restaurant taste good. There's massage parlor in the resort, well placed Alfamart at the front of the resort. The room is fancy, I really enjoy it. There's surfing school and jetski school beside the resort. This is a good resort if you want to find some quiet place. The bad side of this place are those cloth, beads, and other seller who keep pestering me to buy their stuff. It takes long time to make them leave. I just want to enjoy the sunset and they keep pestering me to buy their stuff even I already said no thousands times.

First time visiting Lombok for a long weekend to take part in a Triathlon. The Sudamala Resort was an amazing place to stay. Views of Bali from the restaurant and pool, friendly and helpful staff. A great place to stay and keen to visit again.

We spent for the second time few days at this awesome hotel. I would like to point out the great massage from our masseuse. I am sorry I misspell it but my masseuse’s name is Hoos and since we were two to enjoy the massage, she came with her colleague (sorry we forgot her name :) and we can highly recommend for any guest of the hotel or any person who wants a great massage to ask for them naming Hoos and her friend. Of course very friendly and smiley persons. All the best to them and again thank you.
