The most beautiful beach I’ve ever been to. Selong Belanak is a huge deep beach with perfect white sand and perfect water. There are lots of surf shops where you can get private surf lessons for beginners for pretty cheap (we paid 300,000 for a full day at Aqia Surf) and there are loungers and cafes. You’ll be charged 10,000 to park your scooter, which we didn’t mind as it also means they look after your scooter. Alternatively you can go to Sempiak Villas and park there for free if you eat in their restaurant. The food here is ok but the view is great over the beach. There are no showers on the beach, and the only toilet is a bit run down (you also have to pay 5,000). I think there is a slightly newer toilet all the way at the bottom next to the end parking, but we didn’t use it.

Beautiful beach with lovely super green hills on either side. Also a great spot to learn to surf due to the smaller and not so powerful waves. Friendly people and nice local beach restaurants. Almost everything shuts at 8pm though! Mul’s stays open a bit later if I’m not mistaken. End of February is not as sunny due to the wet season, but you can still enjoy the beach!

Selong Belanak is located quite far from Kuta like around 45 minutes, but the route to get there was really beautiful. It was nice to spend my afternoon there and see the stunning sunset. I don't recommend you to go there if you want some quiet time, as there are lots of people who learn to surf. This beach is more like family friendly place with lots of warungs, sunbeds and the waves were nice. I recommend beginner surfer to go there and try to surf with local guide as there are countless surfer academy that offer you surfing lesson and board to rent. They should improve the condition of toilets, it was really bad that I decided to just wash my body and feet at home. Overall, I enjoyed my time there.

Very beautiful beach! You can get surf lessons there and rent sunbeds. The price is 100k for two sunbeds with one umbrella. Don‘t hesitate to bargain! We got a two hours surf lesson for two people and four sunbeds 400k. There is also food available and the waves are perfect for beginners. I would recommend going there for a day trip!
